Great to see the Gt turbo getting some love. Always wanted to rebuild a GTT engine so I'm really enjoying watching you do it 👍

To prime the oil pump just remove the king lead from the distribution cap and crank the engine till the oil light goes off. Keep up the good work. I had a white 1991 model and it still one of my favourite cars.

      Thanks!
But what I meant was to prime the oil pump without cranking the engine...
I think it is possible if you take the distributor out and the pinion gear for that- then you should be able to spin the oil pump with the right adapter... :)

Seaside Garage fair enough. As you have greased all the components I would say it will be fine to prime while cranking as it will only take a few turnovers to get oil circulation.

Seaside Garage I rebuilt my C1J did it this way and was fine. I think your way could be a lot of effort for no real advantage. Can’t wait to hear the engine start. K

Hi Seaside Garage, do you know, if the plastic guage crush width is outside tolerance, are different thickness shell bearings available to remedy this? Or is it a crankshaft regrind job? Thanks for your great videos!

There is oversize shells but the crank needs to be regrind to that specs... On this engine the crank is pretty cheap though... :)

Great videos. I am also rebuilding my c1j and have installed the cylinder liners but have not measured the protrusion. Now with the gasket in the cylinder liner I have a protrusion of 0.1 / 0.15mm. In your opinion is that correct? Thanks a lot if you want to help me

      Thanks!
Well, they need to be measured without the seals on the turbo model... I would take them out and measure them without.. (but then you need new liner gaskets again... A leak in those is not good... :)

No specs in the volvo and daf manual. Only the 55-65nm for the bolts. Can ask at the dafclub if you like..
