I live on the Russian river in Northern California . I catch some 20 “ smallmouth every year . I would love to share some spots . You are definitely the best smallmouth angler I’ve ever seen . I really would love to travel back East and do some float tube fishing in a lake for smallmouth , like the boundary waters video you did . I was actually looking at northern Minnesota areas before I saw your video . I’m so jacked now . Keep up the amazing videos . Thank you .

Awesome! I threw the frog for a bit the other day and got one nice largie to bite! Most of them were going on beds though so they weren’t too interested in topwater. I’m looking forward to some good frog fishing!

This man definitely is a great Smallmout Bass fisherman.I've also seen him catch huge Northern Pike and Muskellunge.He is truly an ace in all facets of freshwater fishing.

I found this channel 3yrs ago and let me tell you, this bro introduce me to the rat, the live target frog, and the whopper plopper, I had been out of bass fishing for at least 7yrs but when I found his channel I purchased lures rods and I found my groove for bass fishing once again!.

Another half hour of relaxing entertainment on the tubes best fishing channel. Makes me want to move to Minnesota/North Dakota. Very enjoyable. Those smallies are gorgeous fish indeed. They don't get alot of air like a bucket mouth but are real scrappers when hooked up.

Yes it’s the same building! That one I caught there a few years back is probably the biggest smallie I’ve ever caught, still wish I had my scale that day!

Then I caught a 12 foot row boat on Facebook Marketplace, very good condition with a trailer for $200...maybe someday I'll try a good old one paddle, but that is delayed for the time being. When I lived in Ohio fishing the Mad River for trout, casting downstream ended up with nothing more than snags . Casting sidestreeam or upstream made results. I've watched dozens of your videos (happily) and just don't understand how you do it.
I grew up outside of Dayton, I remember fishing the mad River as well! Buckeyes all over San Jose California. Thinking about retiring there.
I know this won’t be a popular opinion, but pound for pound you’re not going to find a better fight in fresh water than a carp.
The right Finish woman would take one of those carp and pickle it up and em good. Like the sound of that river it was so relaxing wanted to take nap while watching this video. These are good videos.

Their color all depends on where they were positioned in the water. Heavy cover usually makes them turn dark

I still can get over how clear the water is up there... We don't have anything remotely close to anything like this down in SW Louisiana where I live!!! I've got to go fly fishing on a river like this in Tennessee a few years ago and loved every second of it. But I've always wanted to go catch some smallmouth like this. Great video brother!!

Also very interesting and cool was the color variation among the fish that you caught the first few were so incredibly beautiful bronzies but all of them were very nice and a couple of those things were just Brutes! I think it’s great that you aren’t averse to switching baits and trying different ones regularly. As a new bass fisherman I find myself trying to balance between experimentation with new products and over buying more tackle. Sound familiar?
Care to do a vid where you take us into the workshop and display your tackle? I’d find it interesting for you to share your backstory in fishing and maybe rediscover some of your gems buried deep in the tackle boxes that you dust off for a go. BTW loved the tribute vid on your grandpa and showing us how you brought those old lures back to life. Keep yakking man!

I grew up on a river in Ontario Canada called the Grand. It looks just like that river you were fishing and you caught more smallies in one day than I did my whole childhood. Great video
The water is so clear. You can really see how the smallies’ coloring fits perfectly with their environment!

19-3/4 ties my PB! I love the black outline around the perimeter of the tail fins on these smallies. I've never noticed that on my WI guys. All our creeks are blown out, and WI is not really into us germy illinoians coming up, so it's going to be awhile until I find out. I know what you mean about "creepy building" something about large manmade structures in waters makes me uneasy. Strangely, I don't even like wading below bridges!
