Sometimes he does go a little over the top on people during public spats etc, and I think Jordan's assessment of him is pretty accurate. At the same time I agree with you that he does do thise things as well. Absolutely. He's certainly a unique president in not having previously been a career politician at all. Certainly one of America's great presidents because of his character and determination to fight for what's right in the time he's in. He's no great well rounded intellectual, although it's interesting he's shown that to be relatively unimportant, but he is nonetheless very smart, and a great leader.

By the way, a lot of shark attacks lately, did you notice that? Lotta shark. I watched some guys justifying it today. "Well, they weren't really that angry. They bit off the young lady's leg because of the fact that they were, they were not hungry, but they misunderstood what who she was." These people are cray. He said, "There's no problem with sharks." They just didn't really understand. A young woman swimming now really got decimated, and other people too, a lot of shark attacks, so I said, "So there's a shark 10 yards away from the boat, 10 yards. Or here. Do I get electrocuted? If the boat is sinking, water goes over the battery, the boat is sinking. Do I stay on top of the boat and get electrocuted, or do I jump over by the shark and not get electrocuted?" Because I will tell you, he didn't know the answer. He said, "You know, nobody's ever asked me that question." I said, "I think it's a good question. I think there's a lot of electric current coming through that water." But you know what I'd do, if there was a shark or you get electrocuted? Jordan, I live in Pennsylvania. Our election rules stipulate that no vote that arrives after 8 pm on the official election day may be counted. The US Constitution stipulates that the sole governing body in each state with the power to set election laws and rules are the State Legislatures. The state Executive and Judicial branches have ZERO authority. Governor Tom Wolf (a Democrat) by Executive Order extended the vote count to 5pm the Friday following Election Day. He did not have that authority. The State Supreme Court, along partisan lines (there is a Democratic majority on that court) upheld the Governor’s election change. THEY did not have the authority to do that. Pennsylvania COULD have changed its election rules via a PA Constitutional Ammendment, but that did not happen. Trump lost Pennsylvania based on ballots received after 8pm on election day. I would say he has a case for claiming election laws were broken in the 2020 election. Did these violations cost him the election? I don’t know. It’s possible those late votes would have been cast sooner without the voting extention and there would have been no net change. All I know for sure is that the fall 2020 Pennsylvania election process violated the US Constitution and the PA Constitution.

I think that's the key is that it wasn't enough to turn over the election. To reverse the result would have to have had overwhelming non partisan evidence to not dismantle the country. I watched all 3 hours of the Election Auditor report to the Arizona congress, live, and was totally shocked to hear all the instances where they were unable to fulfill their investigation, because they were blocked from doing so. To me, that was damning. Nothing was "found" because they were prevented from looking, whenever they tried to follow something dodgy. I was even MORE shocked when all the press reported the next day that the auditors found no problems. It was as if they watched a completely different event! I guess they counted on not many people bothering to sit and watch the live event. It was completely obvious that the Arizona vote was flawed. Just no evidence to prove that it was (because, for instance, truck loads of ballots had already been destroyed!).

I really enjoyed this short clip on Trump. As a student of history, it conformed a suspicion of mine: that unusual times throw up outliers like Trump who are fit for such unusual times. Some of their characteristics/traits can grate but make them the man for the job. I believe General Paton was another 'outlier.' Once they have done the job they are often discarded without recognition. If Trump wins the presidency again, he faces enemies which have become bolder and more aggressive; and an America which is so broken that I sometimes wonder if any president or political party can save it.

I haven't seen much discussion about whether Trump presents a carefully crafted public persona to advance his brand, much in the way Muhammad Ali once explained how he modeled his persona after the flamboyant, big-talking wrestlers. Is Trump "arrogant"? Not, it seems to many of the working people he had come directly in contact with, but only to elites. Is he "obnoxious"? Does he not fit the idea of the stereotypical New Yorker? Is he "evil"? Well, I don't know about that, but if Old Scratch Himself provided the best economy in 40 years, no wars, a secure border, push back on China, push back on North Korea, push back on Iran, and the Abraham Accords I would give him proper recognition and save the "Evil" label for people like the Clintons, Pelosi and Biden.

You've confused loyalty with willingness to overlook crimes, extortion, and disregard for the Constitution. Trump selected Agency Heads and Cabinet Members on the basis of personal loyalty to him and the size of their campaign contributions, rather than loyalty to the Nation and the Constitution. When a few of his Agency Heads and Cabinet members, who turned out by happy accident to be competent, disagreed with him, he fired them! Keeping instead the "loyal" incompetent. He eventually gave up on getting his appointees confirmed through the Senate and just kept his appointees on as "Acting" this and that. Trump is an extremely charismatic, narcissist, sociopath monster who is trying to become an Autocrat. If you want to know the truth about how dangerous this man is, ask those who know him best, i.e., his relatives and those who have worked closely with him and went to prison because of their association with him. Or ask the hundreds still sitting in prison or recently released because they made the mistake of listening to him and acting on what they heard. Or ask the attorneys who have lost their licenses because they threw in with Trump. Jordan Peterson is a brilliant guy, and I respect the hell out of him. But it amazes me how much he doesn't understand Trump or his appeal.
His mistake is taking what Trump says at face value. It's ridiculous. Piers Morgan is right to bring up The Art of the Deal. Trump says explicitly in that book that he makes what Peterson calls "absurd" statements about what's "best" and "the greatest," because he's in the business of marketing, and that's what people like to hear. It's like getting legitmately confused when a football coach says his team is the best in their franchise's history. "Oh, you really think this lineup of New England Patriot's is the best in their franchise history? How arrogant!" 🙄
I rolled my eyes when Peterson asked if Trump thought he had a better administration than Lincoln or Washington. He's so off the mark, I wonder if there isn't an element of willful ignorance in his analysis.

Peterson knows very well it's a marketing strategy, but do you know that exaggerating and lying strategies in marketing always bites you back ? Even if it might work in the short term, it's just an ephemeral illusion and one of the biggest risk is the lier or the overstating marketer illusionning himself and gets out of the reality and doesn't know his own limit anymore.
So Peterson was rightfully asking if Trump really ended up believing what he says ( and part of being convincing is believing what you say).

So when Jordan Peterson says that the entirety of the social sciences are corrupt, we are supposed to take him at his word? Even now with him having his clinical license revoked? Things aren't fucked and working against you Jordan because you are going against the grain?
Why does Jordan get the benefit of the doubt here and Donald gets skepticism?
It's been a year since this video came out and with the latest Presidential "debate" between Biden and Trump, anyone that still thinks that the election WASN'T STOLEN due to corruption is quite frankly out of their God damned minds. The media is clearly very one-sided and heavily biased to include your late night talk shows and your early morning shows. Our personalities always adapt and change to our environment to keep an internal balance where we feel "ok". The more extreme the outside stimuli, the more extreme our counter behavior to keep this internal balance. So I think generally these balance points do not change much and define on a core level our "real" personalities but but the resulting outward personality is based on the environment you are currently in. That is why people find they have different personalities when they are alone, at work, with friends, with strangers or with family.

F book put collection boxes in certain areas but not in others. Rural areas were neglected. That will not happen again.

Trump didn't have enough time to prove the fraud sufficiently, some evidence destroyed, poll workers caught stuffing ballot boxes but nothing done, no cooperation from democratic officials or even some never Trumper Republicans to help collect or do a proper investigation.....these are just the tips of huge icebergs

So, one minute in, my suspicions about Piers are confirmed…you can’t believe anything that comes out of the man’s mouth as he will do and say whatever he thinks the “boss” wants to hear.

You just decided to believe something you want to believe.... to confirm a suspicion you had, some sort of supporting argument with evidence is required.
