He mentioned a 'Sex in the City' dating life. People should remember that the star of that show, Sarah Jessica Parker, has been in a committed relationship with 1 man (her husband), since she was in her late 20s. In other words the character who many women see as something to aspire to, herself lived a very different life- a life committed soley to one man.

How is that relevant to Jordan's comment? When he said 'Sex and the city dating life' he was reffering solely to the lifestyle the women had in that show, especially Samantha and Carrie, who did casually date well into their 30s.

Im glad Peterson clarified on men are NOT designed like that. I absolutely despise that description and find it an absolute insult to masculinity, men and God’s design making men out to be animals that is women tame. How do you justify that and then claim men are supposedly leaders, logical, rational and moral. But yes immature men act like this because there’s a difference in having a higher sex drive vs being designed to be an immoral animal ‘sowing his seed’.

    • @Sealwithwificonnection
      @Sealwithwificonnection 7 месяцев назад +55

Well, they might not be "designed" for that but the temptation for short term pleasure can/will arise. A much better way to put it is whether or not men act on that impulse is what makes them mature or immature.

    • @mekbebtamrat817

Take it up with the creator as it is very biologically ingrained in men. Facts do not care abour your feelings. And calling it immature or using shame and insults or trying to guilt men into marrying a washed up Jezzebel at 30 is not going to work.

Hats off to Jorden for clearing her misunderstanding. I think it's not only her but most of young ladies even older ones belive that men are designed like that. Cause they were taught like that by the society in order for the benifit of men. So they can easily manipulate women. It's the best example for when Jordan said "Where men go, women will follow" Men say somthing for the benifit of themselves then these young immature ladies belive it and get used to living with those bs while bearing the pain.

Part of the problem is that so many TV shows and movies push the myth and engender the zeitgeist that a serious relationship can come from engaging in hook up culture- when in reality you need to avoid hook up culture to find a meaningful relationship. It’s more about people not knowing how to build intimate relationships anymore than it is about people solely wanting to short term relationships.

had a boyfriend for 2.5 years. I was 20 and he was 30. He treated me well and I loved his family. Looking back, as a 29 year old women. I’m completely confused. The amount of life and character development ive had in the last 7 years without him is insane. AND I’m still younger than he was. It’s bizarre. But he was clearly unfit mature wise for women his age.

The thing you need to realize is that, whatever you want to call it, we have an "aura" and an energy imprinted on our bodies.. and partnering with someone is one of the deepest most intimate way two souls can connect. Thus by not being selective with who you choose to be intimate with, or being shallow on evaluating that based on physical appearance alone, you are at risk of tangling your own energy with someone else's energies. We refer to sexuality as "purity" vs. "impurity" for a good linguistic reason.

Funny I actually agree with you on this view but come to a different conclusion.
I would agree that mingling energy with the wrong person could have a negative affect on your energy.
But in my experience most people are not necessarily “bad” and there are literally millions of beautiful souls with great energy and sharing that isn’t a bad thing.
I think it comes down to if you approaching this from a ego-derived taking and zero sum mindset vs from a more present-moment open and sharing mindset.

My life hasn’t turned out as I would have liked either. The older I get, the deeper my problems become and the more unlikely they will ever be resolved. And it’s a hard thing to even process because I truly believe we are in the early stages of a total societal collapse. I’m just one man…who cares, right? But watching civilization break apart at the seams…that’s a very serious prospect. I could theoretically fix my problems but I don’t think there’s anything that can stop what’s happening on a global scale. My only advice is to try and enjoy your life as much as you can. Don’t take it for granted. Because it can all be over tomorrow.

You gotta learn how to cope with life on your own terms, and don't become complacent or codependent on anyone. Feeling adrenaline in veins, pumping up my ego seeing that I am attractive to males, enjoying the privilege of paid dinners, gifts... It is all attractive like sugar to me. But, I know the price of it. I know the almost inevitable consequences of that kind of living...and that's not what I want. That's not the price I am ready and willing to pay. But to me the most effective anti-drug messages aren't the "stay away from drugs mmmk" but those that acknowledge how immensely pleasurable those things are, (in the short term), and how destructive in the long term.
Another side effect of this avoidance is pushes the addicts themselves away, whereas the above message starts to sympathize and relate.

I was actually discussing polygamy with a very close group of friends, and 2 of them were really thinking into applying that to their own lives and were kinda "preaching" the concept of not being locked in a relationship, and this video really paints my idea as well, believe that always searching for that sexual arousal and feeling with multiple different people leads to more instability and less control of our emotions, than finding a companion that you can share and spend your life with. I'm not saying it should be forever, as nowadays I find it more hard to find that partner after getting out of a 9 year relationship, but I truly believe we find solace and comfort when we get to share that with just one person. And I don't see anything wrong with only wanting to do that with 1 person only.

She's certainly a statistical anomaly compared to the peers of her generation and clearly wise beyond her years. The women who do opt for the Sex & the City route in their 20s will typically find out that their baggage will come back to bite them once they realize the time for finding a lifelong mate is running thin. Feminism has sold cohorts of young women the pernicious lie of prioritizing career above family, and many will only recognize that when it's too late.

Honestly y’all make up so many problems. The truth is much more nuanced, if a woman is still single by 30 it probably wasn’t her choice, she just didn’t find the one by then. I know many women who found their partners after 30 and they didn’t spend their 20s doing whatever they wanted, they just happened to find their partners later. Not everyone in their 20s is going nuts. It’s not a dichotomy of virgin vs. the whore. Life isn’t that simple even though you want it to be, most people fall somewhere within that category erring towards desiring or wanting a real and true love and most things we do, dating or otherwise, are in pursuit of those things.

    • @user-lt1jd1ye3v

And this goes for women & men. Contrary to red pill belief which what’s her face is toting here, most men are not on the sociopathic spectrum and are looking for love as well. Same thing with women. Women are just more easily confused and led astray because they’re well, women. They need protection which this society offers none. And men tend to isolate themselves in their frustrations whereas women tend to be more outward. Still everyone is confused because isolating yourself nor only hanging around narcissistic men will solve the issues you do desperately desire to solve.

You could lead a life of service? Is it loneliness? Are friendships not fulfilling? @@Hunter-2689 I do serve in my church. I have friends. I want to be a wife. I want a companion. I don't want to "make it". I want to share love with a man. I married the first man I ever dated. He killed one of my dogs and then tried to kill me. My other dog stopped him. He filed for divorce and the marriage was annulled by the Church. He then stalked me for a year after. He died 2 years ago. He destroyed my life and it's taken me 6 years to rebuild it. I don't want that to be the only relationship I ever have. He mocked me because I couldn't have children and asked me what was the point of being married to me, so I appreciate you pointing that out. An honest question, have I provided enough detail?

As someone in a long term relationship and had more short term relationships than should be legal, I believe short-term relationships change your brain to focus on finding and extracting value from fleeting relationships. It results in you not having any space for long-term thinking. That's probably why it's associated with criminality.
Once you're in a long term relationship you are able to plan your life 5, 10 and 20 years out, which will inevitably reduce to propensity to do something stupid and/or criminal.

If the dating pool of men expect a sexual experience before they’ll commit to anything serious, let alone a loyal, committed marriage, how is a woman supposed to navigate that minefield?
If withholding sex before marriage results in practically zero options of compatibility to find a mate, how would she ever find a husband and become a mother? That’s a fast track way to end up unmarried and childless.
Do you really think promiscuous woman were the cause of a promiscuous society?
Or were men ALWAYS the promiscuous sex, given the opportunity, with their mistresses and secret second families a plenty.

It's not that hard. Most of all hold on to what you believe in. For me it was my Christian values and morals. I first dated my husband to see if I even liked him. On the third week, I thought well this is where we break up because this is the week I asked all the complex moral questions and see where we align. My husband would keep amazing me by his answers. He wasn't a very opinionated person and I was. He really respected what I believed in and he told me I have a beautiful mind. I told him I was waiting until marriage and he told me that he would wait forever for me. He even would tell me to help him see things my way. He made all these little changes to please me. I never forced or asked him to change he just did. My best advice is it is so important to not get so physical in the beginning. You want a guy who actually listens to you and is a gentleman. Make sure you have the moral talk early so that you can still leave the relationship unattached. It was very easy for me to see who wanted me for my body and who really cared for me when I held on to my Christian values. A guy who adores you will wait forever for you.

I quote: "We know the personality characteristics of the men who prefer one night stands, they're narcissistic, they're psychopathics, they're maquiavellian, and they tilt towards sadism". I'm not an expert, but I highly doubt that the correlation between all of these attributes is as strong as to assert, with such confidence, that he knows all of these characteristics of a man by only knowing that he prefers one night stands.

No it's when there's too much of a gap. Also it depends which age bracket. 25-29 years old it is better. 18 to 22 no better not . 30-34 -unnoticeble. There's a limit . Marrying someone twice your age is not best but it doesn't dramatically increase the chances though . Not anymore than marrying someone let's say from totally opposite value system. Like someone who wants to sleep around a lot and one who wants to stay on a committed relationship. And also it's higher the risk if the women is older than the men. Not the other way around. Being a younger guy abd marrying an older women it's not going to as well as the opposite.

However it is the men who are attacked the most. Many women do not want to take accountability for their actions, especially if they create harm. Women do like stigma attached to their negative behavior. They want to have their preferences but will not allow men to have preferences. The female panelists get hostile and challenge authority even if the facts presented are true.

Reading waaay too much into sex.
It’s just a deeper way of connecting with another human being, never understood why you would want to approach it as a zero sum outcome?
Ever read about the 5 languages? Some people need physicality to feel connected. I’ve met many beautiful and unique souls that didn’t end up as anything long term but I don’t see that as a negative? It’s just another example of the richness of experience that life blesses us with.
Jordan talks about these men as immature and antisocial. Some of my married friends have gone from most social to most antisocial (even worse since covid). Literally never do anything outside of a 5km radius, have not heard of them in years, just work, go home to wife and kids, dinner, bathtime, watch tv, sleep, repeat. Their choice, I don’t call them antisocial and tell them they should do otherwise
I’m not against long term monogamy. I would embrace it if it were the next thing life presented me with.
I respect both Jordan and Brett, totally respect their choice and their ideas. But speaking of immaturity, I think vilifying others who make different choices and painting them all with the same brush without any nuance is kind of childish and close-minded.
There are valid experiences outside of your own.
