ATTA BOYZ GO TEAM GO! too bad somebody was flipping dirtbikes in the lot and this somebody overslept! that car is BADASS and so is my truck thanks to you guyz forever indebted!
LOL Man Im glad I checked this video out.Plenty of action red mini cooper bouncing around doing wheelie stands, guy almost gets hit by the hatch doing the burnout and then the guy at the end 2nd gear whoappppp!LOL k20 ftw baby!
It's a mark 1 mini. It has the exposed door hinges, and rounded grill. The mark II still had the exposed hinges, but had a more squared, larger grill. You can't go by the interior of this car. It has a custom dash in it as far as I can tell. I doubt it's specifically a COOPER though as the cooper was a special, limited model made by John Cooper (think of it like a tuning shop model) But it's impossible to tell whether it's a Mini-minor or Austin Mini as suggested by MrMeidon
1:13 I'm trying to figure out what song the Mini was dancing to. Was it trying to Jump Jive and Wail, Boot Scoot Boogie, or Wiggle It Just a Little Bit?
btw, I looked it up to be sure on what the differences are. The grill and badge are the only difference. This looks to be a mark 1 mini, but it's hard to tell whether it's an Austin or Morris without knowing the year.
btw, I looked it up to be sure on what the differences are. The grill and badge are the only difference. This looks to be a mark 1 mini, but depending on the year, it looks more to be an Austin Mini, rather than a Mini Minor.
***** Whoa whoa whoa, that escalated very quickly! Some rational thought and a decent explanation would be very helpful. I can name 3 similarities between The Ariel Atom and this Mini Cooper that justify my comment, but I can't think of a real reason to justify your childish attitude.
***** Oh here goes... 1. The Ariel Atom is run by a k20 engine, JUST like this mini. 2. The Ariel Atom is RWD, JUST like this mini. 3. The Ariel Atom is supercharged, JUST like this mini. 4. The Ariel Atom is small and light, JUST like this mini. More similarities than differences I'd say.
You realize, that until 1969, the mini was marketed under two brands owned by BMC. The Austin Seven, and the Morris Mini-Minor. Then Austin started calling them the Austin Mini. Then in 69 it was just called the "Mini" Though I don't know if there are actually any body alterations between the Austin and Morris versions. I think it's just the badging. And this car has no badges, so how can you say it's not a cooper? They're both technically the SAME car, under a different brand (until 69)
Not all Austin Minis were Coopers, as they were the equivalent of a Ford Falcon or Plymouth Valiant in Britain. There was a Ranchero style pick up, station wagon and sedan delivery versions. Why not use a Rover K-Series or Ford Ecoboost?
Wtf was the rx7 doing? He's lucky they didn't kick his dumbass off the track for burning out while other cars were still staging. Anyhow, badass mini!!
it has that little wiggle after the first wheelie cause of the short wheel base its very sensitive on the steering just like a go-kart. I have 2 mini's myself.
Jake Burch Intercoolers exist because turboes are spun by exhaust gasses, which are so hot that the density of air going into the intake is significally reduced. As superchargers are not propelled by exhaust gasses, they do not radically heat up air, so they really do not need an intercooler. Yes, an IC still might help make air a little bit denser, but will not justify the cost or the workhours.
Enđi Supertramp I understand that and it is true that intercoolers work better on turbo cars, but superchargers such as the one on my car do produce heat lots of it because when air is compressed it gets hot and friction, im sure you know this. This happens even more when you pulley down the supercharger, mine is right at its efficiency range smaller pulley and i would produce excess heat. I do agree that they are expensive. But it gave my car a 35hp gain thats including adding boost and timeing. In my opinion that it was worth it. The same results can be made with e85, but add the intercooler to that and your really makeing a difference. I dont know of any high performance superchargers that dont have an intercooler.
Jake Burch Hey Jake, Thanks for the input, it's lovely to hear a practical input which unfortunately, I lack since I don't run a supercharged engine. I honestly did not know that superchargers produced hot air like that, and honestly have to say I did not even consider sufficient heat originating from fluidic friction. Thanks for the example, always nice to find something new out.
A common mod on Mini's since the early days is to de-seam them. I can't really see the point though as the seams are one of the things that give mini's character.
Deep down I think everyone wants a tiny car that's capable of doing this
Second Fucking Gear see the WHAA!

Is this why honda doesn't make rwd cars? This is awesome.
s2000's are RWD. They had a civic in the 80's that was awd. But yeah for the average consumer, fwd is the standard.
S2000 and NSX-R RWD
Not anymore sadly :(

lol that guy was funny! must be Dominican!
In perfect conditions with better grip and launch this is a 9sec car
Mooooving
Need to revise the differential to make it more stable...and lengthen the wheelbase maybe?
i suggest a suspension tune hahaha amazing
Just noticed someone posted another video of this car. It's a 1965 mini. Probably an austin mini. Doubted that it's a cooper version.
Nice!
Sick

Lol I can imagine Mr. Bean driving the mini
Lol at his failed burn out.
Not all Austin Minis were Coopers, as they were the equivalent of a Ford Falcon or Plymouth Valiant in Britain. There was a Ranchero style pick up, station wagon and sedan delivery versions. Why not use a Rover K-Series or Ford Ecoboost?
Not all Minis were coopers either Coopers were the performance version much like AMG and M cars.
It doesn't get more rare than this. RHD MR K20 supercharged mini.

That's serious
I want that mini
come back mr bean!!!!!
I have a K swapped mini as well where did you put the intercooler for the supercharger?
u dont need to run a inter-cooler on supercharged setup so there probably isnt one
lukethekanefan you should run an ic if you want more boost
