My Salary is about 2500 US (like most of you) but instead of blowing my money on heavy drinks I blow it on Big Turbos and good times :) we don't put air filters on our turbos because we are wild and we want as much air to go into the engine and give us great power. So what if a sand blows off a Thailand turbo, big deal.

Brandon Stone that RC is problably the HPI Baja (or some similar 1/8 hobby grade nitro RC). They usually don't come with turbos and there are no big producers for RC turbos. If someone put a turbo in their RC, they either made it themselves, were lucky enough to find and buy one, or they are lying.

And I say that because I wanted one for my RC truck an buggy but they have an electric motor instead of the nitro... But are some RC cars that came with a turbo on it from the factory just can't think of them at the moment

If someone knocks a tenth of a second off the time they posted a week earlier, it's hard to say if the improvement was due to changes made to the car or variations in the track. A specialized machine might help -- like a "Sandboni", but for packing the sand consistently.

They're obviously getting pelted by rocks and dirt and it looks like spectator views were not well thought out by the track designers, leaving most people to watch from behind or from far down the track, as witnessed by the video angles in this video. But yeah the angles suck.

+francisdebelo They only use the engine for 1 day before rebuilds, like any regular racing. They can add filters and sacrifice performance. It's a gamble that they need to take. Plus it's sand, not dust so the odds of getting anything sucks is quite low, at least for a very limited time.

Air filters, would prevent the air going into the turbo to cool it down and give additional power.
