As someone that is a DIY and electronics repair guy for decades, this is very well done. Fortunately i always buy old work station laptops that have seperate screws for individual clusters, but this shouldn't ever discourage someone from taking their devices apart. You must absolutely have a small screwdriver set for electronics repair if you don't already own one if you own a laptop as seen in this video. Failure to have the correct sized screwdriver bit will give you headaches of epic proportions.
Thanks for the compliment and advice !!

After fiddling in the Advanced Menu of my unlocked bios in my Lenovo T530 Laptop I get an error beat code which i cannot resolve by cmos reset. I get 3x short, 2 long and 3 short beeps. Can't find it on the beep error list either. I think I bricked it.
My beeps are more like 7. It starts with a higher pitch short beep followed by 6 melodic beeps. The 6th beep is more sustained.
Have you tried the RAM test seen here yet? If so, and it does not identify the issue, try a BIOS Reset as seen here; ruclips.net/video/76I2Ec9K7lw/видео.html

Hello, I just tried to upgrade my CPU today and I got this error immediately after replacing the cpu. I have tried everything in this video. Reseating the ram, resetting BIOS by taking out the CMOS battery, and now it won't even work with the old CPU in it. My new Ideapad ran an Update last night. There was a constant beep happening during this, almost like an alarm. The Update completed successfully and I am able to use my laptop. However, I don't want that loud alarm going off again, especially at night! Is there a setting for disabling this sound? Hopefully you can address this in a quick post. I need a solution quick. I have a thinkpad x1 carbon (6th gen), and every time it boots up, there's a black screen, and 7, almost musical beep notes. Hi. I have a Lenovo x250 and its also beeping 3 times twice during startup with no display. Power indicator is lit showing that it has power on it. Is this also because of the ram?
That could be RAM but it could also be a video card issue :( Try the RAM test as seen here. See if that finds the issue. If not, try a BIOS reset just to be sure as seen here; ruclips.net/video/76I2Ec9K7lw/видео.html

Upon startup, my Lenovo ThinkPad X201 beeps 5 times, pauses, beeps another 5 times, then starts up normally. Extensive RAM testing passes with zero errors. This is harmless, I suppose, but it is an annoying startup delay for every startup or restart.
I read somewhere that this can be solved disabling a setting in the bios, like "security bios *something else i dont remember*". Try to watch it out!
@@JusTJack_YT Yes, I found the obscurely worded option to disable the security chip in the BIOS, no more beeping.
@@JusTJack_YT Yes, that is correct. I'm using a hacked BIOS to bypass the WiFi whitelist check to allow the use of a faster WiFi card. The modified BIOS is detected by the security chip at startup, which is why it was beeping. Disabling the security chip in the BIOS settings prevents it from beeping, so it now starts up normally and without delay.

Try the external monitor test as seen here: ruclips.net/video/u-REPLdpZ70/видео.html
If that fails to identify the issue, and subtracting the RAM and CMOS battery, you may be looking at a motherboard issue.
My lenovo flex 2-14 only works when plugged in. When unplugged it starts and run for few seconds and turns off. Sometimes even when plugged in it won't start and sound a long beep. What can be the reason?

@@frankryan1310 If, after all these steps, you have not been able to find the issue, your most likely looking at a faulty component preventing the motherboard from working or a motherboard issue. I have Lenovo L530 Thinkpad. It gives 5 Beaps pause 5 beaps long pause and 5 beaps pause 5 beaps. If I force stop and on it again it acts fine and does not beap. Please help me with this
5 Beeps could mean a CPU failure. If it continues, consider replacing your CPU chip.

Hi I have a Lenovo flex 2 14 it is making one long beep and power button is blinking but it is taking no power when trying to start it makes the beep noise but not opens

I have a Lenovo, E 14, 2 beeps and shuts down, I tried a new stick of ram, Any thoughts
1. Did you test each RAM in each port? Are you able to see anything on the screen at any point?
2. Also, did anything happen before this issue appeared? Liquid spill, overheating, Windows update, etc?
Between organization settings from outlook, mcafee reg keys, and driver reg key to prevent win update driver crashes, my whole machine thought it belongs to somebody else. After fixing that with permissions hell and learning God mode, commands and run, I could have safe connect but not the whole livesafe apparatus. THEN I got a nonstop beep with no start up display. Hold down power for one minute cycles 6 times then turn on normally. I'm reinstalling the os and hope to have full security again afterwards
Good luck !! Let me know how it goes :)

OK folks ... beep code lists are NOT the same for all laptops, even from the same manufacturer. Search for your specific model or series. Like Lenovo G50, Lenovo T470 ... Some use beep codes, some use flashing LEDs, or a combination.
Thx :)
