Just watched this again Thomas - stunning video that I am sure you are immensely proud of. I am sure has inspired thousands of hikers and landscape photographers! My 8 year old daughter watched it with me and want to come on a wild camp as well! Absolutely awesome mate!
In today's world, along with your beautiful work, I have a great deal of respect for someone who says, "I can't complain" and then makes the best of what they are given.
You take fantastic photos. And an unexpected result of all of this is that you make some incredibly relaxing videos. I show them to people who aren't photographers and we enjoy them immensely. Keep taking your time; we all look forward to more videos.
I am a 72 year old lady...but very keen on photography.....you have given me SO much inspiration...I am of for my 4th visit to Norway next week...but the first time with Hurtigruten. I have made notes of your 'tips', I Thank you very much....and your photos have brought pleasure to my Heart...
Awesome views you've got there. The cloud inversion is amazing with that pinkish/reddish sky above it, that's fantastic. I've discovered your channel yesterday, and I can't stop watching your stuff. The photographs you bring are so great, with such a beautiful composition. I really do like the explanations that comes with them, the why you do what you do, not trying to shoot everything but waiting for the right moment for the right capture (that you explained really good in your Iceland video). Amazing stuff, thanks for your videos, keep up the good work, it's inspiring.
I've enjoyed all of your videos and photos, but this one has to be my favorite one. the first cloud inversion photo was just and when you showed the view from your tent that morniong was amazing.
I love watching these videos. Even on vacation, I've never been to the true outdoors like this and it's fascinating to see that places like this do exist. It looks like there's no one else there at all, and you'd get to have all the amazing views to yourself.
What a beautiful sight to wake up to. I've always loved photography, but never had much money. After years of point and shoot frustration, I'm finally able to make my new DSLR do more and more what I want it to do. Your videos have inspired me to practice as much as I can, and learn as much as I can fit into my free time. Thank you for that! Great choice of music, too
A beautifully put together video, just he right balance of photography and outdoorsiness. Well presented and nicely filmed. I look forward to seeing more
Thomas, thank you for making these videos, and taking such gorgeous pictures, I am absolutely hooked. Additionally, I wanted to tell you how much I appreciate your philosophy of not overshooting when you're out in nature, it has helped me remember to stop and look around at the beauty that surrounds us. Keep it up!
Hello Thomas... This is my first adventure into your world of photography. Your name was mentioned by a great photographer on RUclips, Paul Johnson. So you came into my world with a great stamp of approval. I was not disappointed. Your video was very good, your photographs were amazing, and your love for photography shone brighter than any star, when day engulfed night. Thank you for sharing.
Utterly magic, mate! Great video, very nicely shot, and just enough commentary whilst letting the superb landscapes do most of the talking. Very, very enjoyable and inspiring. Subbed! Cheers!
I know the Ullswater area well and have walked all the fells around there but never seen the sights like the ones you took, just fantastic, must do a wild camp one day!
This video was the great leap forward in production times and your confidence and natural conversational style were beginning to appear. It will be good to see another video returning to great end, looking towards great Gable possibly From the summit crags!
Thomas Heaton I have one question for you. I know you're very skilled photographer, how I can see. I take photos of landscapes too, but when I try to edit them, they look quite unnatural. You're photos look very natural, but still very nice. I'd like to see some photography tutorials from you too.
TermoxinProductions I would speculate 2 things, but I might me wrong. Are you shooting in RAW and are you shooting at the right times of the day? If so, you won't need to do much processing and your images should look great in camera. Also, look in to using some filters, which will massively cut down post processing. My latest video demonstrates this a bit: ruclips.net/video/w7EO_hYPvtU/видео.html
Thomas Heaton Thanks. I think, you have to be busy. But if you want, I can send you some images from my last shoot to a message, but if you don't have enough time for it, it's okay. It was sunset.
Thoroughly enjoyed the video Thomas. Great location one of my favourite spots in the lakes, really clever work with night shot with tent lake and Glenridding in the background. Could not of picked a more perfect time to go. Keep these videos coming, getting some great ideas off you 👍
Really enjoy your video! Great scenery and excellent pictures. Keep up the good work. Glad to know what you carry on these outings. Looking forward to more.
I really love your video Thomas and your photos too! And I'm in love with the soundtrack , I know that group and are fantastic! Please continue to upload videos!
The light looked great as you were packing up. I'd have been tempted to spend another hour waiting to see how the lighting changed before heading home.
You are the suvivorman of photography. I did the same thing back in the mid eighties in Colorado, mostly in Rocky Mountain National park. But these videos have inspired me to find new places to shoot, I now live south easter Pennsylvania, so the landscapes and vistas are as grand.
I have watched a couple of your videos now, you explain what you are doing and why in a way that is informative, makes sense and anyone watching can feel the passion you have and makes me feel i need to shut the pc down and get out there now!!!! . . . . . The cloud inversion shots are just amazing . . . . . as they say "keep `em coming" . . . Brilliant :)
Just... The combination of wild camping and landscape photography has me smitten for your channel. Good storytelling, and I love that you show your images in the video. Hey, there's a Skye video as well! I'm off seeing that one now! Thanks for sharing, Daniel (The Netherlands)
ah, like the little sachets you get in the box with new things? thanks, i never would have thought of that, I'll give it a go! yea, I guess just perseverance with wiping and some sprays will have to do until I can afford a more weather sealed set up! thanks again, keep up the good work!
Thanks for sharing man, I'm a Texas based amateur landscape photographer and I've certainly been inspired by this. In my opinion landscape photography is so much more than just a picture is an experience and you've managed to put it all together in this vid, massive congrats from another curious mind.
Thanks for your comment. I totally agree, it's all about the story and the experience. The difficulty is getting that across in your image; I'm still struggling with this.
OMG...if there's one RUclips vlog that has made me want to buy a new lightweight tent, dust off my old camping gear, pack my cameras and head back to the hills it's this one! Inspiring! New sub!
Hello Thomas! Great video, even greater place, and perfect landscape images. Well made! Also I'm looking forward to this kind of hiking here in Switzerland as soon as the snow in the close by mountains has gone. Keep up your good work, and have a great start into the new week. Kind regards Heinz
I`m subscribed to your channel for a while now ... and I really love the way you take photographs , the way you approach things , the composition , it`s just stunning , you should do a workshop or a travel tour somewhere in England , I would love to attend it .. I would follow you anywhere on this planet .. you are like my mentor in Landscape photography . And I just want to tell people once again ... I do have quite similar photography gear as you have , it`s just not the gear that makes a GOOD PHOTOGRAPH !!! IT`S THE MAN BEHIND THE VIEWFINDER , and this is awesome .
Loving the videos Thomas, great to see a shared passion on here. Looks like you had some awesome conditions, unlike my last visit there I endured a total white out in a snow storm. But I love being out. Keep up the good work.
I've watched all of your recent videos (2016/17) so when that first image popped up I was waiting for the music to kick in, like we've all come to expect (I love that music). I'm one of those inquisitive types that looks for the finer details that make a vlogger a good successful vlogger. My appreciation for those finer details just went up. Great video as always and I can definitely see how much you've mastered the art as time has passed 🙂
love watching your videos. we visited Place fell this weekend and what a great place. First time at the lake district. Looking for to your next so keep them coming.

I always come back to this particular video.
It never gets old. The vibe is strong with this one.
In today's world, along with your beautiful work, I have a great deal of respect for someone who says, "I can't complain" and then makes the best of what they are given.
solo camping is great , really meditative, seems like a time that you really learn a lot who you are.
You take fantastic photos. And an unexpected result of all of this is that you make some incredibly relaxing videos. I show them to people who aren't photographers and we enjoy them immensely. Keep taking your time; we all look forward to more videos.

So beautiful. I watch this over and over. The song (in case anybody wondered) at 10:34 is by The Unthanks, called 'Nobody Knew She was There'.
The joy of place; the joy of light. Thank you for this.
Jim Keener No problem, glad you enjoyed it.

Those cloud invertions are stunning. Mind Blowing.

Stunning little video mate. What a great view from the tent you had. Thanks.
Your pictures are absolutely breath taking. the picture with clouds that rolled in was beautiful!!
What a beautiful sight to wake up to. I've always loved photography, but never had much money. Looking back at this video today, the very video that inspired me to photography two years ago. Thank you Thomas :)
Fantastic views. Thx for posting, Thomas. You're an inspiration. I see now why Beatrix Potter wanted to preserve the Lake District.
Thomas, thank you for making these videos, and taking such gorgeous pictures, I am absolutely hooked.
