I have been building a van for the past three days, following your videos. Not the easiest, not perfect, many of my traps are still visible. But for a first time, it has been a great challange for once. I would love if you made more building videos. I only do interesting builds, all glitched and merges. Keep up the great work!

Hey purplehaze yep most experienced builders def know about it, I was more just showing how I like to use them etc, but yes the shooting targets are really cool! I'm sure lots of builders knew about them also but I discovered it by accident during my last build, so glad you found it helpful 🤘😂

Brilliant vid Nux! I’m a massive fan of using the shooting targets and can’t imagine building without them so I really hope they bring out more variations for those without Prime or who missed out.

Boo!! If you're underground going up just float your items up off a rug (or other item) and place the rug on an underground trap. Trigger the trap and it deletes the item above connected to the rug too. Or you can sink merg the trap into a foundation once you're done to hide it. I find it a bit more fiddly than the targets but doable @@darkone_wzyx4y

@@NuxBlackThumb Yah! I stack my floated items on diff coloured rugs and just sit them on the targets underground so I can move stuff around as needed or just break the bits I need to, to schmoosh more bits in. (trying to be more organised and less chaotic down there 😜)

I've always used the shortest conduit to get objects out of the way for merging. Not anymore.!!!

I made a leveling merge technique tutorial that you can merge items with saving camp budget without having to use items to merge. All you need are foundations

Okay, so here's a question. Are you aware of any options besides display cases that allows you to put junk items in your camp. If anyone could figure it out, it'd be you.
Hey, unfortunately not. Once saw a great tutorial by MisterChurch where he did figure it out, but it was temporary and didn't work when he logged. But at least they're releasing junky items now like the fans and typewriters etc.

Nah I don't think you can get them in the game, but just get the smallest shooting target that you can get then and use that, must be quite a few out by now surely, haven't played this year yet so not sure but there should be :)

Haven’t been able to do near any of the merges that interest me as I don’t have the catwalk or the cans which is kinda unmotivating
No, I haven't played in a few months but surely there are lots of shooting targets out now ? Just use a different one, and as for the catwalks, just follow one of the tutorials on how to request atom shop items from bethesda perhaps, If that's still a thing :)

Thanks for this tutorial, I've been struggling with the pressure trap thing, but this is so easy!
Is there a way you know to merge stuff that is on walls or the ceiling?
I have an idea but don't know how to make it happen. Basically, the modern modular kitchen set has one of the top cupboards with a robot arm for blending or similar, but I think merging 4 of them into one unit with an arm on each side hanging above a surgical gurney or that zetan on a gurney would look fantastic in a lab buy I've no idea where to start.

@@last2nkow haha cool man, are you on PC? If so you can add me and I can help you out if you get stuck, but also If you have the shooting targets you can just raise those modules up on shooting targets using the camp machine, then hide them all (the targets) under the gurney for example and merge the modules and claws together that way in the air...if that makes any sense 😂, otherwise underground might be your best bet, depending on how intricate you wanna go with it

I follow what you described, yeah. I've been doing a load of vids this week to try and get up to date with the new items and techniques because I've been away from the game for a while.
I'm still really pleased with my first build, I made a mining town underground a couple years ago when we all collectively had all that spare time, but then got busy XD
Anyway, I'm looking at a surface area hydroelectric dam at that in game dam near harpys ferry, then some nesting shelters with an enclave base under it.
So the dam is going to be the toughest part to finally into looking all scrappy industrial, but the shelters will be all about working out how to make sleek mad science stuff.

Pressure plate merge doesn’t work for me
Ah no....are you trying with the mannequin or by standing on it yourself ?
Make sure you place it and then pick it up qnd place it again to depress the plate
