*NOTES* 1. If you attempt to do this, and you fall off the rug, and you can’t get back up, stack a survival tent as close as you can get, and get above the camp module, and jetpack down. (Eat some coffee or sunshine oil for more AP) 2. If you keep fast traveling and landing at the bottom, see #1, and then move your camp module to higher up in the build and farther to the southwest of your camp radius. 3. Your allies will spawn at the base of the tower. This is the best part about the build imo, but if you counted on them being around, think again. 4. You will have to fast travel twice to a build like this, the first time to load it in, the second time to actually land on it. You shouldn’t take fall damage the first time. 5. Set aside 10 months just to get your camp placed up there. It will require patience. 6. Yes, this CAMP is floating! In order to be built in adventure mode, this is as close to the structure as you can get. Yes, the structure could be designed to indicate that it’s hovering or something (and feel free to implement that in your build when you try this yourself)! I chose to instead save budget and interior space, because this CAMP is designed to be engaged with from the inside looking out. Apart from flying outside it, you won’t see that it’s floating. It doesn’t render from the ground, and you fast travel to the upper deck. If this bothers you, you always have the option to avert your gaze! Happy building! 🥰
Also, to fast travel to a floating camp, you need one of the following items: stairs, stair gantry, catwalk, upper floor or defense perimeter wall - stairs. These act as solid objects to land on. Should you only use floating roof tiles in your build, you may find difficulty returning to your camp.

This was a great collaboration. The design of this was amazing Church. Dont know anyone else who would figure out how to get to the top of that tower either. VV did an amazing job with the decorating too. She nailed the whole vibe. Great job and thanks for sharing.
Impressive build, lovely decor by valentine 😍 the enclave lights was Vlad's idea, I stole it off him. He'd win in a fight, he's already killed me twice this week 🤣
It is clearly redundant to take acid when your builds blow my mind quite easily. Would it be too much to call you the Salvador Dalí of Appalachia? No, it would not. 👏🏻
lol I built a mansion in the same place, just recently, watching your video brought back all the memories of the frustration of doing the carpet trick over and over again, of course in the middle of the first build attempt they patched it, had to start all over after they put it back in, great video, always love your rants!
To clarify though, this is actually a floating base and not really a completion of the tower. I had climbed to the top years ago when you could jump on harpoons and bolts shot into walls and it would not let a base to be placed on it. Judging from where the bottom floor would be in reference to the part of the video where you fell out and landed on Grahm, I am assuming there is a gap between it and the top of the tower, which is why we didn't get an external "Money shot." Some of those build techniques though I am definitely going to try in the future, so thank you for them.
Once again, another brilliant build! I do little glitches when building, but you're the master! There's no way I'd have the patients to do what Y'all do!
I suggest the wendigo collosus rug for doing this, you can stand in the feet and place the camp in the hand! And another tip, catwalks snap to posts nice and easily, you can then place normal stairs connected to those!
I watch those old abandoned mansion videos on RUclips. (I know, I’m an oddball) 😂 This totally gives me those vibes. You guys did a great job! I like how you are mixing it up a bit too. 👌🏼 I’d love to see more of this style from you!
@@misterchurch666 inspired me to try this, I've been putting off building since my main got banned and I lost my blueprints Will try a sneak a couple of springboards in for yeeting purposes
You actually don’t need to blueprints t all those walls… just make a blueprint of a doorway, catwalk and mat. Drop it at your desired height and remove the catwalk, then snap a defensive perimeter wall-stairs to it. It acts as a foundation so you can place whatever walls you want. Also, easier to use a catwalk on the posts instead of stair gantries.
Your comment is very vague. Are you saying make a blueprint of those 3 things together or seperate? What are you referring to as a defensive perimeter? Something from the defense tab would not snap to a doorway. Do you just mean walls? Sounds like your saying you can build off a doorway, catwalk and mat all together as 1 blueprint. Catwalks don't need to be blueprinted to work on a floating structure.
For what it is worth, I have a floating shipping container (suspended from a crane by wires). I spawn inside the shipping container without using any of the items you mentioned.
Vault tech starburst floor pattern is ideal for matching orientation placement. Very fast to spot if rotation is wrong when expanding in any direction.

Mr. Church sir! I love your tutorials! Thank you for helping me help myself to be a better builder! :) A question; can you still use the bugged rug method to place the camp module? I can't seem to get it to work, tho I've found the shittiest server I can. lol. I'm wondering if they patched it out? Thank you!
You can still do it! I did it the other day. Try using that massive enclave rug if you have it, it’ll give you more space. Also, while fasnacht is kicking off is a good time to try it because of the lag. Just keep going with it, the first few take longer but after that it’s not as bad.
@@misterchurch666 Thanks! I was able to create the ghost carpet! Yay! But it wouldn't let me place my camp on it. So I gave up for the night and had pizza instead. lol
do you have any builds or glitches that can be done with the flying fortress? I've been looking for interesting things to do with it but every video i find about it people do the exact same kinda stuff; that is just using it the way it was intended and putting junk around it, i found out that the flying fortress can partially stand on its stairs and have the rest of the plane float on the air and decorations can be placed underneath it and sometimes items will sink into it getting lost in it's foundation but that's about it
Ok, I floated 8 stories above this location, using the semi-permanent world object trick and it still wouldn’t let me place my module… I need to see this…

I imagine if I just let them out of their 1x1 prisons and show them how amazing the finished product of yours turned out, they may agree to it
Correction: Camp barriers are orb, or globe shaped. Dome would imply a half of a globe, when you can actually build in every direction, the same amount of distance from your camp device placement. Placing your camp device onto/into something raised above the ground can potentially double your build height, depending on how high up the device is placed.
I didn’t say camp barriers were domes. I was talking about the boundaries around existing locations :) the boundaries around CAMPs are actually cylinders, and you’re right, placing them up high doubles your build height :)
i don't think catwalk is in the game anymore. at least it doesn't appear in my buildable things list. Using the roof as a slanty window in the bedroom was a really cool idea.
