Great vid - I always learn so much and have a giggle 😍 With the foundation sinking, I learnt a different way to do it from amcasteyo where you can sink but also raise stuff (so if you over sink, you don’t need to start again 😍😍) - place two foundations next to each other & add your item(s) to one of them. - looking down on an unconnected corner of the sinky foundation, select the foundation with x then select again by holding down x - press L1 to raise items or R1 to sink If the foundation is red when you try to select it, you just need to change the angle you’re looking at it. 👌 so much more control and you’ll never go back once you crack it 🤩🤩 HTH (Edit - buttons mentioned are for PSN)
Luckily I play on PS4 so I followed that xD I actually saw a Japanese RUclipsr (don’t remember how to spell his name 😬) that showed you could float items with foundations, I wonder if that’s the same method? I completely forgot about that! Also thank you!
@@misterchurch666 I saw LJP doing the Japanese one but it was kinda pulling the foundation away and up for it to snap back (at least that’s what I made of it) and it just wouldn’t work for me. 11:50 Cool to see there is a way to make freeform wires in 76. It even looks a bit simpler than the method we have to use in 4. If there is a way to float wall shelves or perhaps some other "plank" type item (or conduit pipe) you could even build your own version of a rope bridge. 20:00 The same nasty habit of settlers in 4. Always opening doors. One trick in 4 is to use a door that you have already opened and then "pillar glitch" that pre-opened door into an empty door frame in a position that mimics a closed door. Since the game has it marked as being already open the settlers can not interact with it at all and it will always appear closed. I wonder if something similar could be done in 76 using that Atom Shop door from an earlier vid that you could freeplace or perhaps your train door 90 degree flip trick. 23:20 Nice little detail.
You were the one who actually put the idea into my head of figuring out if there was a way to get free form wires so thank you! Unfortunately they patched the freestanding door a long time ago 😩 Thank you!
Slightly north of the Charleston Train Station there is an abandoned shack, or moonshiner still with a settler NPC. It's on a rock ledge with a fantastic view of downtown Charleston. I thought it would make a great campsite and wondered, "has Mr. Church ever built here?" Then you publish a video slightly south of the camp I found. I'm not an ambitious builder like you, but sometimes I think about spending 1,000 atoms for the extra camp slot to do experimental builds. I just started a build with the new green house set, love the windows in ceiling! The wood table floor thing was genius.
I know the place! I was working on a build there a few months ago and didn’t love it and plan to return when I have a better idea. That was when they had patched out blueprints so I was pretty limited at the time! And thank you! I wouldn’t have thought to do that if I hadn’t seen Nitekrawler’s camp!

9:42 for the foundation merge using the placement in this vid as example, if you stand beside the foundation with the 'back' side being the edge actually touching the dirt grab the front side and pull towards your feet, it's easier to merge stuff and allows for a degree of control of how far you can sink the objects in question 👍 this helps slow the growth of the ever increasing tumor that is Bethesdas build order, system... thing... Lol hope this helps ☺️
Ok but how did you get thing onto the middle shelf where the pre existing shelf is? I can get the rad barrels on it with a rug, but the rug floats up to the top shelf, but then when I place things onto the rug it doesn’t sink back down on top of the barrels?
Great build. Looks like you might want to invest in a Tetanus shot when you live there though. On second thought a little lock jaw is a small price to pay for lore friendly living.
“We can fix this” is what I say to myself every time I build in this game, cause it just works I guess? Also thanks for this video. Maybe one day I will be as good as you. Hey anything is possible right?!
Thank you! Biggest thing to focus on in camp building isn’t technical stuff like merging or complex structure design, but rather attention to detail in all aspects of the build, especially the decoration
it's currently my main camp and it's fun to try and compress stuff in there like I have rugs for a 2nd floor inside the tower with ladders going up n stuff
Any time I use the flamer, it makes me repair it before it will give me the option to store it...also my bee hive doesn't open or make noise? Is there a difference btwn how items on PC work compared to consoles?
No those things should function the same on pc as on console. The beehive only makes noise when I take the honey out, and the flamer I store it before it breaks so that I don’t need to repair it.
Oh I actually forgot about that method 🤔 Aussie kitty reminded me I could have used it to reverse the sunk tables when I mentioned you don’t wanna go too far
i like this build, but in general, do you actually play with broken parts? how do you deal with enemies destroying your stuff? do you repair everything one at a time, since using the repair all function of the camp would ruin parts of your build?
Yeah! I have several builds I play with broken items. The easiest way is if it’s something you break easily. You can repair all and break that. I don’t usually have that many creatures destroying my stuff - I can usually tell when they’re gonna spawn in and I am ready 😈 but yeah! It depends on what it is. If it’s just a couple items, they mostly glow yellow in build mode so I can find them easier. If it’s a ton of stuff, repair all then rebreak (depending on how hard it is to break the item).

Really cool shack, I like the small builds like this one. Such a shame that the rain goes through greenhouse roof. It's just a detail and many people won't even care but for me, it's the little details that breaks the immersion of a game. But hey, it's bethesda afterall. Maybe it's a feature lmao.
