My thoughts for securing my car: loud alarm Pedal lock Removable steering wheel Column lock. Gorilla glass Cameras Blocking the car in tracker Turn the wheels Fuel cut off/immobiliser Wheel clams I AM TAKING NO RISKS 😂
Hi, the best way to deal with this problem is to replace the existing OBD2 connector in the car with a completely different one of your choice, to which a thief is not able to connect his programmer and then to make an adapter to that new connector so that you or a service technician could use it to connect the programmer if needed for servicing. Also, for a little bit of fun, you could instead install a different connector in a different place and direct the wires to it. The existing one could be left with wires removed from it. The thieve is going to have some frustration. Or, as an option, after moving all the wires to the new connector, you could connect straight 12V power from the battery to most of the pins in the original OBD and leave it. Then, when the thieve connects his programmer, the programmer will be bricked irreparably. (Sure, you then should keep in mind to warn a service technician not to connect anything to the OBD but to use your supplied adapter). Actually, there are many simple and ingenious ways of preventing this kind of thievery and to poke fun of thieves. Cheers!
Wish I had seen your video before. Mine got stolen & I am gutted. Keep helping people please mate & let's defeat the crooks. For me no more Fiesta STs. Such an easy car to steal & Ford needs to do something about it. Thanks for the video.
My ST is on its way to me. I’m having dislock, obd dummy and a full high end alarm, immobiliser and tracker so it should be as safe and protected as I can get 😎
Recently near me relay transmitters where used to get into peoples cars and if you have keyless start botton they can hold the signal from your key fob.Cheaper way is to wrap car keys in tin foil stops transmitting the signal to the car.
You can also replace the clutch Start Sensor to a new location which will make it fun for anyone trying to start the car without that sucker depressed?
Yeah that's a good thing. Any kind of delay like that will make the thief move on. They probably won't start searching around once their first attempt fails.
I live in texas, they steal trucks like crazy, my Silverado almost got stolen and I caught them in action, they tried removing my ECM and bypassing it with a one of theirs and a different key, think I might need more than just a fake OBD lol
Just renewed my car insurance with Churchill and asked if i get any discount with my £100 Disklock being fitted to my car i was told no i won't,not sure if other insurer's do one?
morgan pennie quick release steering wheel won't stop a thief, all you need is a set of mole grips clamped on and you can steer quite easily. Disc lock is way more trickier to get around but then using 1 of them isn't a fix as the thiefs only have to put 2 dolly trolleys under the front wheels a tow it away.
Youve just give away how you keep your motor safe to all the thieves around your local area lol not a very wise move. Where abouts do you live fella? Lol Be aware a disc lock isn't 100% safe either, you've only gotta put 2 dolly trolleys under the front wheels a tow the motor away.
But what if the people selling the dummy ones aren't actually dummy ones and they are just extension cables and they use your address to find your car and then steal it? Make a tracker in the cable using a live from the original port?🌚🌚
RoyCropper then if in doubt, get the package delivered to a location for collection. I.e post office, Amazon collect, doddle. Or ya nan, unless your nans got an ST
You can tell if its an extension or a dummy because the extension has the same amount of wires in both ports and the dummy only has 2 wires in connecting port and like 8 wires in the dummy side
As I’m sure people stealing fiestas would know about the dummy obd port by now so if they go to steal your car n it’s not working they will just pull the dummy obd port and the real one will be behind it if you chose to do what you’ve done? Or is there another way to get a live connection to the dummy port so you can completely hide the real obd port? Hmm
Lewis i wouldnt be looking at getting a hot hatch as your first car. Your insurance will cost more than your car. Get something sensiblr for a few years , earn some no claims bonus then youll have better options..
The way i see it personally is if my car is stolen then it’s a case of phoning the insurance and claiming. Yeah it’s a pain in the arse. But not the end of the world. Also not to sound like a knob here but the way i see it is if you live in a bad area then don’t have a nice car, as simple as that really.
Stuart Harper true, where I live no one would look back at a mk6 fiesta, in Harrogate everyone has Range Rovers and Aston’s😂🙄 so I don’t really have to worry as much as some but I do avoid parking on streets when I can
Ike Buttle For me as well like if i’m meeting up with a group and getting in someone else’s car i tend to leave my car at asda or a tesco. Somewhere it’s lit up and is 24hrs as well as CCTV incase some selfish bastard decides to steal my shit.
My thoughts for securing my car:
loud alarm
Pedal lock
Removable steering wheel
Column lock.
Gorilla glass
Cameras
Blocking the car in
tracker
Turn the wheels
Fuel cut off/immobiliser
Wheel clams
I AM TAKING NO RISKS 😂

You can also remove the fuse which powers the port which can help
I never thought about my car getting stolen. just assumed it'd never happen, but this really has changed my view. defo ordering this. thanks dude.

My FIST was stolen as well, took the rims and tires and the battery, the tow truck driver did most of the damage, they had to total it.
I really wish you didnt broadcast this..
My ST is on its way to me. I’m having dislock, obd dummy and a full high end alarm, immobiliser and tracker so it should be as safe and protected as I can get 😎
Getting my fiesta st on Wednesday and literally slapping a ghost alarm in it straight way

Car can be bumped started
So you’ve just shown everyone how and where you’ve put the genuine OBD port... bright lad.
Someone has to do it
His car has a blade this is more
Common in the keyless cars
Yeah that's a good thing. Any kind of delay like that will make the thief move on. They probably won't start searching around once their first attempt fails.
Yesss tommy, here since 2k☝🏼
My thoughts for securing a car:
Viper alarm (remote start)
Disklok
Tracker
Dash cams
Dont ford st over there have smart shield immobilisers? like my xr6 does in Australia
You can also remove all 4 wheels 👍🏼
This obd port moving used to work. Now the relay method is being used. Get a proper immobilser fitted. Clifford/Cobra.
I live in texas, they steal trucks like crazy, my Silverado almost got stolen and I caught them in action, they tried removing my ECM and bypassing it with a one of theirs and a different key, think I might need more than just a fake OBD lol
Just take the fuse out for the fuel pump
I have recently purchased a obd lock(got it locked to the dummy port) and clutch lock. Can't start car with it locked. Cost £20 on eBay
Just renewed my car insurance with Churchill and asked if i get any discount with my £100 Disklock being fitted to my car i was told no i won't,not sure if other insurer's do one?
Great video pal very useful tip👍🏻 quick release steering wheel works a dream aswell👌🏻
Why do you have to plug the dummy in? That just helps the thief follow the wire to the real one.
How has he got lights under the dash blue ones? Are they standard
The link for the dummy OBD port is not working. Do you have another one that we can trust?
Which disklok size is best for the fiesta? Small or large? Thanks in advance!
Luke Taylor small is the size you need
benm096 nice one cheers mate!
Soo what's your opinion on the mountune anti theft which they offer?
This aged well😂
Good way to show thefts how people have secured their ST
Quick release steering wheel 😏😏

Joker Majesticz Yes true, but it is another defence against the thief’s. Nothing will stop them if they want your car bad enough.
morgan pennie Yep. If they want it their find away lol
I like your style
Youve just give away how you keep your motor safe to all the thieves around your local area lol not a very wise move. Where abouts do you live fella? Lol Be aware a disc lock isn't 100% safe either, you've only gotta put 2 dolly trolleys under the front wheels a tow the motor away.
Don’t tell anyone we’re you hidden it just show the world on RUclips 😂
What about hiding a phone with a power source, so you can track your phone?
autowatch gost not cheap, look it up,thats all u need.
This guy looks like the one who would steal your car!
what size is your number plate?
iv just realised you look and sound like joey essex
My st got stolen 2 days ago
But what if the people selling the dummy ones aren't actually dummy ones and they are just extension cables and they use your address to find your car and then steal it? Make a tracker in the cable using a live from the original port?🌚🌚
RoyCropper - I have heard stories like that on forums
RoyCropper then if in doubt, get the package delivered to a location for collection. I.e post office, Amazon collect, doddle. Or ya nan, unless your nans got an ST

Yes lad
Liking the deranged hat mate! 👍🏻
+Team _FRS cheers lee 😉
can they still steal my fiesta ZS even tho its not push button start>?
nickydak1d any car can be stolen
yes mate
Do they put something into the obd port to start it or do they jam something in the keyhole and hopes that it will start?
nickydak1d they plug a jacked OBD reader into the port that pretends to be a key which tricks the car into starting
The mk7 fiesta loads are getting stolen these days
The obd lock is good too 🤙🏻
All part of the fiesta life
Rewire it and put a switch on it
or buy an st1 so they can’t rob it through obd haha
As I’m sure people stealing fiestas would know about the dummy obd port by now so if they go to steal your car n it’s not working they will just pull the dummy obd port and the real one will be behind it if you chose to do what you’ve done? what should i get as my first car, im 17 and looking at a 2007 fiesta ST, my price limit is around 2K
Lewis i wouldnt be looking at getting a hot hatch as your first car. Your insurance will cost more than your car. Get something sensiblr for a few years , earn some no claims bonus then youll have better options..
Lewis recommend a corsa sxi
Civic. Ep2 1.6 115bhp cheap upgrades as well
1.7 corsa sxi, pulls well, cheap to insure
benji Jacko na mate insurance to expensive, max 1.4 litre engine

Stuart Harper it’s different if you’ve worked on your car so you can’t just buy a new one and have it how it was like most people
Ike Buttle No I totally get that, i do. But as someone who has modded there cars i just be careful where and when i take it places.
Stuart Harper true, where I live no one would look back at a mk6 fiesta, in Harrogate everyone has Range Rovers and Aston’s😂🙄 so I don’t really have to worry as much as some but I do avoid parking on streets when I can
