SO, rent in vancouver has gotten crazy in the last 6 months, and so have expenses in general, the cost of living as a whole!
the average rental unit has gone up several hundred dollars, and I wanted to put my vancouver knowledge to the test!
I have lots of videos related to moving to vancouver, renting in vancouver, how to move to vancouver, how to rent in vancouver, things to know before moving to vancouver, is rent in vancouver expensive and many other vancouver realted videos you can find on my channel.

Guessing rent in New York City is a huge topic right now, but not just there, also guessing rent in la, guessing rent in tokyo, guessing rent in london, guessing rent in toronto, guessing rent in san francisco and more are all huge, and now... we have a guessing rent in vancouver!
So what did we do? WELL after the great results from the Last Interview series, I decided it was time to guess some jobs 🙌
In this video Guessing Jobs in Downtown Vancouver, I wanted to test my self a bit, and see what we could figure out about the city and its people!
I had this idea because I often get asked; how to get a job in vancouver, what jobs are in vancouver, are there lots of jobs in vancouver, how to get a job in vancouver, how to get a job in canada and similar things to these, I figured asking actual people here what they do would be a great way to shed some light on the matter!

It's very tough (paycheque to paycheque) unless you have roommates or lucky enough to live (for *free*) at home!!
Omg sooooo many people in Vancouver earn under 50K.
Just depends on your lifestyle.
If you want to live in brand-new & wayyy overpriced rentals in UBC, Kits, Downtown, etc, then you definitely need to earn more.
$2300/mo for barely a 1BR is *not* affordable,
But there are tons of newcomers who can pay that & more

Great stuff! Kinda shocking how anyone is able to afford to live there making 50k or less though. Haha
My first few years in the city I was making $40-50k in the video game industry. I was able to save money every month, BUT only by being extremely frugal! So short reply is that it isn't easy if you're around $40,000 ! 💰
