EDIT: It's cool that you said, in regards to the Chuck Taylor AS, to "buy the skate version even if you don't skate".
This should be a blanket statement. The skateboarding version of pretty much ANY sneaker...is the "better" version of said sneaker. I've been buying Dunk SBs since 2005-2006 but still have random tards saying all kinds of stupid sh*t to me. As if every person in some Air Maxes is a runner. Or every person interested in Kobes/LeBrons/Jordans is a basketball player. Or every slide/flip flop can only be worn in the shower or at a swimming pool. It's stupid. They are shoes. Buy 'em. Put 'em on your feet. Wear them. Get the most comfortable, long lasting version of whatever shoe it is that you like. Who gives a sh*t what it's intended for or who's a$$ it hurts.
Most of the ppl who ride a$$es over whether or not a Dunk SB is sold to a skater.....are just salty because they can't afford aftermarket/StockX/GOAT/Ebay prices for the shoes they want & can't get. Just sayin'...

@@DavidBluetile There's a whole other argument to be made about whether or not these shoes should be so expensive/hard to get in the first place...but still.
Personally, I think any "normal" colorway of ANY SHOE should be easily had by anyone w/ the money to buy it within a reasonable window of time after the shoe is released (let's say a week-ish).
Collabs & exclusives have their place, but when folks are throwing $280 (and then about $50 worth of "fees") at a Fog Dunk SB low just because it's a sz 13...that's a "problem". A problem I live w/ on every single pair of these shoes that I want. Being a 13 & liking this type of shoe isn't any "easier". I gotta pay aftermarket prices for anything I buy because of where I live, too. I have no choice other than entering online raffles run by skate shops 8-10 states away from me and/or the aftermarket...and we ALL know you are getting maybe 1 out of every 100 shoes you enter a raffle for. There are no local shops within a 100 mile radius of me that even have Nike accounts "good enough" to even get Dunk SBs. It's next-to-useless even trying when you're a big footer. If you like a shoe, you basically gotta wait til it comes out & hope the value doesn't skyrocket.
Basically, I'm getting at this. You shouldn't come at a person over what kind of shoes they have, just because you can't get the shoes you want. The person you're coming at may have had to pay 3-4x MSRP....so they aren't keeping that shoe off your foot. The person they bought it from kept it off your foot w/ their bot/backdoor connection.

its been a little while. I liked it more but people liked it better when they used the lunarlon soles so they went back to something similar to that.
Anyone know the sizing on these? Or any converse SBs? Do they fit like regular converse? My TS is 10.5 but in chucks I gotta go down to like a 9.5.

I dont really like the competitive aspect of all that... any one of those skaters could have won and id have been like "get it buddy" haha. it's too hard for me to choose. Tyshawn defies gravity with that pop and I dont just mean ollieing over things.... that dude does some of the hardest tricks ever over obstacles that most people cant even ollie.. Nyjah took rails further than anyone can... louie skates everything like a dream and has a smile on his face the whole time.... I couldnt choose if it were up to me... I would just pick the nicest human. haha

@@DavidBluetile very short ankle protection . the rest of the sneaker is fine just the ankle worries me. they have to be lower than the half cab. if not, then school me on these shoes.
theyre about equal to a half cab. but I typically prefer skating in lows.
