On the question of Dutch and Chinese: Since before Dutch colonization,Chinese have migrated to Java for centuries. They were even part of the reason of the spread of Islam in Java. During the Dutch colonization, some Chinese people in Indonesia acted as business mediators between the Dutch and the local people, extracting labor power of the peasants in sugar industry and other plantation. Other chinese people were mere wage laborers like the the natives, working for meager wage. During Japanese occupation and decolonization process, many Dutch businesses were left behind by the Dutch themselves due to the instability or were nationalized. Probably the Chinese businessmen take more role from that moment. So the craftmen have been there for generations, while the owners and consumers changed. This is a perspective from Indonesia customer. I always wanted a sagara boots, but without trying the fitting, I'm not comfortable in buying blind. I'm a boots lover! Good genuine leather boots really last for decades and really comfy. Today many online shops sells various kind of boots which also cheaper. But I still prefer the high quality of boots.
Cibaduyut leather crafts are famous for their quality, I have had a leather wallet from there for more than 10 years and it is still in good condition even now, even though I am a field worker who is often exposed to hot, damp, dusty rain 😀

I did not know this .. 😯😯😯 or , maybe because I'm not leather fans ? But however, I really appreciate it that you also like products that made in Indonesia 🇮🇩❤️🙏😊😘
Indonesian boots actually famous before WW2. Even there is a Korean War movie describe a Korean soldier want to buy his dream boots made in Indonesia. However decades later, all these boots, leathers, all textile products were exported into Europe, US, etc in "blank brand" in CHEAP cost. Then the European or American put their brands on this like Gucci, LV, etc and sell it hundreds times more expensive that they spent from Indonesia.
nice...I'm also from Bandung... the difference between handmade and machine made is because the human body can feel if something is wrong but It's very different from a machine which can't feel good or bad, but for neatness of the product the machine is better.
It's a little bit ironic when I know Sagara from your vids since I'm Indonesian 😅 I hope one day I can afford boots from Sagara in the future without askinfmg the cheapest price😅

because his accent very terrible so that's why they had to put the subtitles.
It's because he's brown
gw yang orang indonesia malah baru tau klo sepatu buatan indonesia khususnya bandung terkenal sampai luar negeri, auto check out langsung di shoppe untuk tes
I have been to Bandung...the craftsmanship of leather products are excellent n of superb quality...but equally priced too😂😂😂
my guy bagus representing us well lol. glad i found ur channel nick, been a fan of sagara projects since 2016.
Their boots really good. Other leather goods made in Bandung is also amazing. All hand made.
Got my first pair coming in from Briselblack. Looking forward to getting a pair from Sagara soon!
Briselblack interview is coming out too! Taking longer to edit because that one was filmed in Bahasa
Orang Indonesia kalo soal produk handcraft emg pro bgt sih 😂
Criminal this channel has less than 100k subs. Top 5 best holistic fashion channel on yt.
Me are Indonesian..me is ultra mega proud
Talks about the quality and stylist, Bandung is the center of stylist product in Indonesia, thats why Bandung called as Paris Van Java. Indonesia is the number one for quality from garmen and shoes, so if you find any garmen and shoes products with words Made in Indonesia, just buy it, believe me you never dissapointed
As an indonesian myself, it's one of my dreams to be able to afford boots from Sagara or Txture
Teringat Wak Doyok dia mmg peminat boots dari INDONESIA ....
Bangga euuy urang Bandung ( as a Bandungese, I am very proud of it). You just wear the booth and tell your friends, thank you
I'm Indonesian, I love heavy boots, I had an Ariat and I used it for working and it's durable. The arch is 1.5 inch, it's comfy for me
Lovely guy and episode. Amazing!
Greetings from Jakarta, Indonesia 🇮🇩have some wonderful time in Bandung, West Java. Boots made in Bandung, is one the best boots 👢 maker in the world 🌏🌍🌎
Winson (more of a dress shoes maker) is definitely something I'd like to check out in the future
Wow... nice interview Nick. Like it. Anyway. Indonesian like the cheaper one because mostly people here is poor. So, its a big challange for us, now.
what i've seen so far, indonesian craftsmen shoes/boot/clothes are very passionate in their craft..
FYI, in 1990s and early 2000s, Nike ara mostly produced in Bandung, and mostly manual work.
nice...I'm also from Bandung... the difference between handmade and machine made is because the human body can feel if something is wrong but It's very different from a machine which can't feel good or bad, but for neatness of the product the machine is better.
my hiking boots has been with me since 2014. They last longer than my other designer brand but are cheaper like half of the price
Nice interview!
So glad you enjoyed it dude!
Cordovan is definitely for dress shoes, using it for outdor boots is overkill. Thats why those boots are luxury.
Hey Indonesian Taxes Guy!
Finally I've been waiting on this video
love to hear it
It's a little bit ironic when I know Sagara from your vids since I'm Indonesian 😅
I hope one day I can afford boots from Sagara in the future without askinfmg the cheapest price😅
It is such a shame that a big brand shoe maker from Bandung (let me spill the name, it's Eiger), recently chose to outsource the production of some of their products to China
6:17 In your previous review the water was leaking inside and you said that the norwegian welt is not really working, has they improved on that?
Finally the video is out!
I feel like I’ve given birth
Ulasan yang berbeda dengan yang lain...anda menginspirasi banyak orang❤
Bandung Pride!
This reminds me of another shoe/boots brand from Indonesia.. it's called saribudolok schuhe, but i don't know if the brands still exists or not now.
Can't wait to have my Trailmasters in shark leather they are gonna be amazing
moga sukses selalu pembisnis abang yang dari bandung, moga orang luar bisa membantu dan bisa mengembangak produk lokal ke luar
Hoping that you were also able to check out indonesian denim companies and have a video or 2 coming out on that...
Mr. Bagus with sagara is the legend of indonesian boots maker.
