What a superb bit of British air gunning history!

There were 2 options for trigger if I remember correctly standard and competition... same one as the CR94/97? I've had a huntsman mk2 from new ❤
I have one of these and it still shoots pellet on pellet at anything up to 50yds! I also have the previous model Midas with its brass air cylinder with a beautiful Walnut stock and still just as accurate.
You will be the env6 of more than a few people round here!
Years back I had a Daystate LR90 with custom thumbhole stock, couldn’t resist it when I saw it, only went in shop for retro fit magazine for my s200….
I was very lucky to get to spend time with this rifle.
I’m so glad I got this beauty.
Many years ago my first pcp was an FN19(just bought one of those too from Phil and Tracy, memories!)I traded that in for a Daystate Huntsman MK1 FTR and found it was the same quality as the mk2 in this video.
The blueing was like black chrome and bis mags was it’s favourite pellet.
Back then I wasn’t as strong as I am now hence I traded it in for something.
As for the triggers being “agricultural “, bare in mind that PCP air rifle technology was in its early stages but I found my mk1 trigger as crisp and predictable just like my air ranger.
For years I didn’t like alloy build daystates and this huntsman mk2 is proof why I didn’t like them( however I now own a mk4 and an air ranger as part of my usable guns collection).
This is now my collectible FT rifle topped off with my 90’s Zeilier Gold 6-24x44 FT scope

@@andybrown8293Hi Andy, just watched this video and read your comment and I think I bought your old Mk1 FTR from Phil & Tracey last June. I wasn’t sure of the model so I sent pics to Tony Belas at Daystate who confirmed it was a 1989 Mk1 FTR with a factory fit left hand stock and two stage trigger. I’ve since had it serviced by the folks at Staffordshire Custom Rifles and it’s a beautiful bit of kit. They sure don’t make them like they used to, which is a shame. Cheers, Simon
