Umarex Walther Underlever

This is a bit of a natter about the Umarex Walther CO2 poweerd .177 pellet firing lever action rifle. It is similar in looks and feel to the Winchester 1892.

My grandfather taught me to shoot cans with this rifle almost 20 years ago. "Taught" may be a bit of a overstatement, as he basically just slapped it into my hands and as I'd seen in movies and video games, I got to blasting! Being a very user-friendly rifle, the only thing I had to get used to was the iron sights, as I had only shot my fathers scoped single shot rifle before. What an amazing experience..
Years later he passed the rifle to me and to this day, I still can't believe the accuracy you get out of this rifle. I have never adjusted the sights and it's still dead on. It's actually so accurate that i've been wanting to get a scope on it for years but just haven't gotten to it.. I know there's a mount by Umarex and some dude made his own rail. I even saw some raised iron sights with tritium once.
I always carry this rifle with me to barbeque and sauna evenings with friends and such, as it's so much fun with a group of friends, and they always get hooked! The only thing I often find difficult with this rifle is to try and stay on count of the 8 pellets when you're having so much fun!

I have two of these umarex rifles and they are good fun and great quality. my only criticism is that the wooden foregrip is short, it should be about 50 mm. beyond the barrel band.I am modifying mine to look more realistic.look at a real one. I think umarex slipped up. The new company with interchangeable barrels is the Barra 1866 c02 rifle.

Not my cup of tea really, nevertheless as use for family and friends at the barbecue, an excellent acquisition, unfortunately I've got no friends, and only a few family left, so No barbie for me, anyway FANTASTIC to have you back..

i own one of these mate its the plder model with 2 co2 bottles the newer ones are not as good looking as this model the bigger butt pad spoils the look of it plus the price of the 88gm bottle is extortionate the older version you can use just one co2 and not waste any like the new one liked the vid mate cheers

Thanks! Glad you liked it. I agree, the bigger butt pad is not that aesthetically pleasing. I bought the CO2 adapter when I had my first one. Meant I could use 12g ram co2 in it.
