Sweet place. Yesterday the inevitable happened, as I’m doing my 1st oil change on my 2021 Tundra my son rams his BMX full speed into the rear drivers side door leaving a perfect handlebar headset imprint. At least he didn’t break his neck, but what a joy these guys are.
Been following this channel since last year, because of you sir I bought me an FJ and a 4R from the US (TX and PA), shipped all the way to the UAE (DXB). Fixed up and running with a very happy owner. 2 Weeks in and my brother snagged the 4R though. I gotta admit as well, 2 rock chips on my WS in 1 month of driving.. crazy but the replacements are cheap here. I'll try to shoot a video of the trucks soon, the shared love for these trucks is huge!

We’ve had a great summer; in the upper 70’s & low 80’s, almost zero humidity and able to do a lot of exploring. Denali Park is awesome and many others too. We’ve had a lot to do outside (new construction). Yard/lawn, paved driveway and other stuff. It’s feeling like home after 10 months and hard to believe it’s gone by so fast! Enjoy the new surroundings and congrats again - you bust your ass and it’s nice to enjoy the rewards. 👍🏼😎
@@UntamedMotors You’ll appreciate this, but being an hour behind even WA time, makes dealing with the stock market more challenging lol. Lucky for me, I get up naturally around 4:30ish so it works. I’m sure those in Hawaii have it worse. It’s amazing what moving does for your mental health alone - best decision EVER. If only we did it sooner. You only live once and looking back, I know you too will appreciate all the places you’ve been and will visit in time. Cheers. :)

Yes I would Xpel the entire painted hood and front also add to windshield for future chips etc. well worth it imo, have this on my 20 AG Tundra pro , Xpel has a 10 year warranty , stay safe out there brother !!

I’ve got two in my 08’ Base. The biggest one is approximately 1/4” wide, so Im gonna wait to replace it though due to the price tag of a new one.
nice rig. I just purchased the 13 FJ Trail teams w/ 46K miles. perfectly clean. replacing with a new OEM windshield and NEVER ride in the freeway.

Love this fj, how's the audio system btw?
The FJ looks very nice in blue and black. The white grill is odd, but the big front bumper is a lot of black. Maybe white to blue on the grill. Peanut in training taking pics of the tires while you were talking...lol
Your new place looks very nice and private. I've been looking around for a yr for a more private place without a huge price tag is difficult.

I put a AVS bug/rock guard on the front and I have not had a rock chip yet.
Beautiful property, keep an eye on those little guys the pond will be a magnet for them. FJ looks great, have you thought about a Gorilla glass windshield ? Upholstery/ Carpet cleaner that has no scent and no residue is Procyon a light spray and blotting with a white towel usually takes care of the spots.

Welcome, 2011 @150k and 5 windshields ( let it be know I ride till it's extremely bad then get replaced. So actually it probably should be more like 8 or 9). Love this ride though!

@@UntamedMotors I just recently let go of my 2011 trail teams edition. Got good money for it but left a void in me for sure. I will definitely want to hear your opinion on the 2022 tundra when it comes out!
Just have the chip repaired,no need to replace the windshield unless it cracks. Best FJ ever right there
My friend went through like 5 windshields when he had his. The angle is almost 90 degrees.

I thought you blew the engine or something. I’d say wear the rock chip with pride and get the windshield protection and clear bra. I’d say paint scratch or body dings are worse.

So how hard is it to find a replacement windshield for the FJ’s? Assuming yours is an OEM windshield, are shops stock piling them?
Don’t know yet as I haven’t actively searched for a replacement. Though I’m hopefully it’ll be easier than I originally thought. Mainly because the FJ is still built and offered in various other markets around the world.
Just apply some Elmer glue and you’re good

@@UntamedMotors AZ (Lawerence Motorsports). They had it at $75k I offered $53K and thought that was a fair price. They were super condescending. Then dropped the price to $69,991 a few days later. So if you want to make a few grand on yours let me know!
