- Here’s a video of my “new to me” 2014 Toyota FJ Cruiser Trail Teams Ultimate Edition. Sporting the same power-plant that’d you’d find in a 2023 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro, the 4.0L V6 connected to the 5 speed automatic transmission is pure gold. Super reliable with plenty of power.
This FJ Cruiser has become an iconic vehicle. A near instant classic. Super barebones, simplicity at its core. I love it! For the same reasons I love my 200 Series 2021 Toyota Land Cruiser Heritage Edition and 80 Series 1997 Collectors Edition Land Cruiser.
What are your thoughts of this FJ Cruiser Trail Teams? Would you take this over a new 4Runner?

When I first saw this thing back in 2008, I though to myself: “ugh, what an ugly thing”. 15 years later, I finally realized that I truly appreciate the esthetics and the simplicity of this classic SUV. I would buy one in a heartbeat. Congratulations Mr Untamed!

Those are real OEM rock sliders nothing faux about them. The only reason you’d want to replace is if you did serious off Roading & needed the versions with the kick out. You can also install removable steps on these.

Need the antenna. Really nice. I personally think the manual is the real deal. Had a prinsu roof rack installed and decals along with new plastics outside. And LED lights. Black hood anti glare also and really looks great. Transformed my ttue. Thanks for sharing.

You’re the poster boy for the official Unicorn Hunters of America. You must spend countless nights perusing the internet for the unique pre-owned vehicles you buy. These 2, the LC and the FJ are amazingly sweet but as a prior FJ owner I am smitten by your latest acquisition. Beautiful, iconic Toyota that brings owners such great satisfaction. I sold my 2014 in 2016 and still miss it. Cant say that about any other vehicle I’ve owned, save my current Mazda MX-5 RF Club. I imagine if I would sell it I’d miss it terribly. Congrats!

@@UntamedMotors ….the FJs and the Honda S2000s are both appreciating…and I have owned both. Wudda, shudda, cudda kept them but alas I didn’t. So it goes with our “addiction”. It’s always time to move on to the next car adventures.
@UntamedMotors greetings. What was your reason for selling it? I've recently come across a similar FJ with under 60k miles. I'm thinking of purchasing it with the intention of a long term investment. What's your thoughts?
@@realWhy-not-DIY can’t go wrong with an FJ Cruiser. Aim for a trail teams though… I just preferred having the last of the 5th Gen. 4Runner over the FJ. Prices are “high” but not many people are actually buying these. I had a hard time finding a buyer. They’ll remain steady in price or go up.

Congrats! I had to trade my FJ Cruiser in order to pick up the FJ80. The family was just getting too big for the FJ Cruiser but I really enjoyed owning it.

@@UntamedMotors the FJ Cruiser is bulletproof. Loved it. Just a little small for a for a family. The FJ80 just does it all. Plus the solid front and rear axles, timeless design, and proven track record in some of the worst parts of the world. Land Cruiser is king! I should have picked up a Heritage Edition when I had the chance!
That's one of the better aftermarket leather installs i've seen. I thought it was factory. That said, it's a very nice FJ. Like others said, the look has grown on me, but i still I dont like them as much as the 4R though as Toyota SUVs go.
I wish you took trades! I’d love to own this one day.

Some reason my 2007 automatic trans f j differential light went on now and I make turn under 10 miles an hour the back wheels skid and abs lights are on any ideas?

Those rock sliders are actually bolted to the frame and are actual rock sliders.
Your FJ TTUE is more advanced than your 80, that 80 is bare bones.
