If you are watching this as a non-vegan, I hope I will help explain why adopting a vegan lifestyle is necessary. For the wellbeing of the animals tortured and killed for their flesh and secretions. For the protection of the planet and all life that depends on it. For your health. Go to • GARY YOUROFSKY - The G... to hear the listen to the best speech you'll ever hear about animal rights. Go to www.challenge22.com for meal suggestions and nutrition support.
If you are a vegan that doesn’t speak for the animals, I hope I can inspire you to open conversations with non-vegans. As vegans we have woken up to the systemic oppression of farmed animals, after abstaining from contributing to their suffering we must help others align their morals with their actions.

Interesting how vegetarians can be equally uncaring and resistant to want to care about the abuses to dairy cows and egg laying hens, which are even worse.

Such an important question "are animals someone, if not what are they "? Thank you Amber for asking this question.
I wish more activsts would ask this question, it changes the whole conversation.

this was a good conversation, you gave all good points but I feel like with practice future conversations would be more smoother, and less awkward anyways, thank you for standing up for the animals!

    Amber,
    Well top !
I think you've definitely got the right idea & social skill set to do this.
I'm an old timer activist , so it's not until recently that I've seen this mm socratic method. But, it's a good idea. Out of most of the. activists using this method your success rate seems pretty high. Please keep going.
I should also get off my lazy ass & do the same lol

Thanks Amber for the work you do. She seemed quite disconnected from animals & not much empathy for their suffering I would say.

I think veganism is best presented as a commitment not to commodify or otherwise exploit any sentient being. Presenting it as a philosophy of harm reduction opens up potential loopholes for carnists to use. A dairy consumer who eats only veganic crops, and potentially even a hunter, may be responsible for less overall harm
than some vegan lifestyles on a sheer utilitarian basis, but a carnist lifestyle is evil regardless because it commodifies and exploits animals.

Thank you for the comment Nick, i think thats a great definition. The last couple of weeks i've changed how i describe it as I agree veganism is not just about reducing harm its about destroying human supremacy. Appreciate the feedback :)

I don't think animal abuse is justified (I don't think eating animals is abuse)
I don't consider animals as "someone" I consider them as something. (humans also being under the umbrella term of animal) I would use someone to specifically talk about a singular human
Animals experience pain and pleasure yes.
    Yes.
    they're beings.
    Conscious and feeling yes.
Don't enjoy or agree with animals being used as entertainment such as in a circus, races etc don't particularly like zoos either.
I eat meat as part of a usual diet, if I wasn't enjoying my food that would suck and it's natural to enjoy eating, every animal enjoys eating. It is natural to enjoy that, you are built to eat and enjoy eating. Animals aren't built to enjoy caging and displaying other animals as far as I am aware.
I don't think anyone is abusing animals to enjoy their taste. People are killing animals to eat them, animals are killing animals to eat them etc etc. do you consider the selective breeding of plants to turn them into better food sources abuse of nature?
If there was an option that causes less harm sure you should go for it if you want to I just don't agree that it is fair to force every human which is built to be able to digest and chew meat to never again eat meat. You don't force a lion to eat fruit just because there are more fruit than prey animals nearby.
yes I am aware of veganism.
Veganism is avoiding eating or consuming products (flesh, milk etc) derived from animals.
sure parts of veganism reduce harm done to animals, less people buying animal tusks and whale bones etc
yes I am aware it isn't a requirement, it is still natural to do so. If a lion could survive on berries it would still also eat meat, it's not unnatural to do so.
as stated previously of course if you want to.
what do you think of eating roadkill? animals you find already dead, then eat.
I don't drink milk, in cereal, in tea etc at all so I will avoid commenting on that
If cannibalism didn't have as many drawbacks I would consider eating a person if they were "farmed" towards the end of their life
plant based alternatives are great if that works for you but I'm going to eat my pork.
If we were herbivores I would agree so much more with veganism for the entirety of the population but realistically if we stopped farming cows you would just get people hunting them themselves. If pigs weren't farmed and prepared for me anymore I would go and find a way to hunt pigs myself, potentially even start a private farm of my own just for myself. Ultimately I believe that would cause more harm to those pigs so I hope you realize it's better to get a farmer to do it.
there's also the fact that veganism isn't a diet available to everyone despite the fact that they could, given the resources, live without it.
I do agree that veganism helps animals avoid the slaughterhouse I just don't think it should be heavily enforced onto people, if you get more people to become vegan that's great but I also want to be able to eat meat as my teeth are designed to.
Lions were probably a bad example as they do die without meat but I was too lazy to look up what animal that eats meat could live without it, probably something like a bear I know some of those live off berries.

"overpopulation of cows" so let's just keep forcefully breeding them into existence by the billions. definitely makes sense. Great outreach amber, funny how they always suddenly have to go when they realize they don't have anything to say.
