Honestly the LED + reflector example you briefly showed was better than the softbox in terms of getting details from the skin, and also being soft. Thank you

Not to mention, there is 1 more type of light other than these 3.
The edge light. The edge light is basically a LED panel but with the LEDs on the edge of the light. This results in a softer light than LED panels with the LEDs right in front of you
A great example of a edge light is the Fotodiox Flapjack

Hello, Geez theirs so much different lighting out their to choose from! I Really hope you reply back, im so drained from reading review after review, adding/removing items from my amazon cart for two weeks now, 5+ hours a day if not more & everthing im buying is a let down due to fake reviews that are misleading...My biggest question is you said Softbox for People & Led for Background, but what about Clothing? The lights ive purchased already on amazon all have that "ugly blue tint" & the clothing is for resale purposes ends up not having a good result because of not being able to capture its "true color" due to a blue tint...Im mostly looking for inside lighting, something thats not too expensive, but just gives me enough lighting to see clothing true color since my house doesnt have the greatest lighting..I just really really need your help!!!! Ive been getting into bed at 11pm & I swear thats all i do is look & read different lightng reviews till 4am And when I think I know what I want, something else catches my attention. All the note taking, and im just getting no where, but frustrated & disappointed hoping one light I order will be bright enough & it never is due to the blue tint...I really need your help!!!

I’d recommend this for you I think you’d be happy with it: amzn.to/3PKN9ka
There’s a lot of factors to consider tho in regards to color your camera settings play a roll
My free course breaks it down: www.supersimplecamerasettings.com
But overall that light will look great if you’ve got the budget, if not let me know I can recommend an alternative

I have bought a few soft boxes that I use as my main light sources, but I want to have a colored background. Should I buy the G2 Pocket RGB Light, or will my softbox lighting overpower it? Also, would it work to bounce the light on a white surface so the background is colored, and then use the softbox to only light my face? or should I go with the GVM 50RS RGB LED PANEL?

I pretty much have the same lights as you. I’ve been having a hard time with the colors working in the background. The wall color is somewhat “creamy” I don’t have a backdrop, but when I put the color light as blue it keeps showing up as light purple. Do I need to have a backdrop so that the colors actually show up?

    • @benjohnsoncreative

Cream / white doesn’t allow for as much saturation but you should be able to get some color. Your white balance settings will affect the hue of RGB in camera. This video may help: ruclips.net/video/XjexTWJ_D24/видео.html
