Just watched all the videos. Refreshing and honest look at buying a complex high performance car and good to hear what you have bought and how you are going about fixing it yourself.. ......A bit tired of all the Apprentice Top Gear presenters although there are some fantastic scenic videos. I have been looking to buy a Z4MC for too long and you podcasts will help. Would be good to know who you have used for insurance.....and any preventative measures you are looking to do to avoid engine issues, I assume it is high mileage? Thanks

I have a multicar policy with a company called Elephant in the UK (owned by Admiral), for the Z4 it works out at around £250 for the year but thats with a big discount and loads of other factors etc... As for preventative measures, I'll be booking it in for an 'Inspection 2', so full service and valve clearances redone, despite being a lifetime fill I'm also aiming to get the gearbox oil changed. When it's having the work we'll check the water pump, Vanos and some suspension bits and seek advice of the technician at the time. It's booked in for new break lines and some exhaust work so hopefully have a deeper update on work needed then :)
Z4Ms are renowned for pulling to the left slightly ive had 2, both been aligned multiple times. The exhaust might have had the bypass pipes done.

It's definately going to need one, I'm laying off doing it right away until I've had the suspension looked at and new tyres installed.
what sort of price was it ,, you didnt mention it , or I may have missed that .
