Advice: get some dollar store transparent shower curtains and hang them behind the couch. Even if you tuck them away behind the mesh when it isn't supposed to rain. Doesn't look like it gets a lot of light there and it would take FOREVER for cushions to dry, and they get smelly if they hold water for too long. Learned that the hard way my self! Protect your investment. 🤗
The rain will just go through the trellis ceiling though. It has a screen on it but rain will just go right through. I just don’t think those cushions will stay white for long.
I have watched soooooo many patio garden make overs and this is the absolute best and I mean the lux, coast and holiday, relax, chill, entertain vibe, and most of all it's also possibly the cheapest and easiest to do ever makeovers. Thank u so much... I don't have a roof but I'm gonna find a way to put up 4 pillars and hang some curtains
I'm so shook how it seems like you put little effort towards this, but then the outcome was INCREDIBLE! I love the couch, I think I'll try something similar.
So gorgeous! If I had a bigger balcony I would totally do this! OH, video idea! Small balcony makeover? One question tho, do you move the grill when using it? Cause with the curtains it kinda look dangerous.... Take care
Frida Forslin small balcony would be so cool if they know someone who needs a makeover! i know a few friends who would appreciate some inspo for theirs!
Omg I never comment but this was amazing! I love your videos. Definitely have a new subscriber and I’m definitely binge watching all of your old videos. Sooo inspiring
I’ve been looking for a diy patio makeovers for like a month and the best of the best thesorrygirls do one! Loved it. Us canadian girls really need to soak in as much outside time as possible! 👌
Done it again, blew my mind. Becky you are amazing. I've wanted to crate an outdoor space for a while now and this is now my go to reference to know that its not that grandiose of a project, challenging (maybe), but will be totally worth it. THANK YOU!!!!!
Mariellen Stathopoulos I live in Michigan so I was thinking that ‘oh, if I did this I’d only be able to have it up for like three maybe four months, if I’m lucky.’ 😂😂 and then I seen this and i realized that they are in the same boat as me. Lol.
It looks amazing for how much you spent! Personally I wouldn't use pallets, even after power washing them just cause all the hidden bugs but you can always reuse them for any future gardening or other stuff around the house. The look overall is AWESOME. It gives that simple chill vibe. Just be extra cautions when grilling.
where did u get the cushions and what sizes please? we get so many full size pallets from my work and was thinking if they needed to be cut down or in half? love your patio....gorgeous! Thank you for sharing....you are an amazing person and truly enjoy all your videos :)
I love it! Personally I would hand the curtains on rods, but it's a great vibe, perfect for transiltional weather as I gues sit will pack down super easy and store well for those candian winters. Great work Bekky!
The patio look so dreamy. Love it! The curtains are super cute too! Ps. Don't forget that when you're going to barbeque, take them out because it's going to smell (or you could just throw them in the wash).
LOVE this!! It looks amazing! So wish I had a patio space, we want to add on to our house and make one... I live in Florida, my house is less than 10 years old, and it has no patio...... it’s a struggle
Cute, I’m totally inspired to clean up my patio now! I highly recommend candles specifically for the patio, they help out a lot with warding off all those pesky bugs
So beautiful!!!! Please please please do a makeover for plastic dollar store planters. I have a ton on my balcony and live in a place with no thrift stores (Japan). I love my plants, but hate my ugly plastic plant pots. Also I challenge you to do something with that weird mock Grecian pedestal.
This is so funny because I have been talking about a porch makeover the last week and then saw this. So many good ideas!! I live in an apartment building in Toronto and have a tiny balcony but I still got some awesome ideas!! Thank you so much. Also it looks AMAZING!
Omg thanks for this super easy makeover. It's perfect for my Malaysian weather condition. I can imagine myself having coffee with my cats there already!
Gorgeous makeover! It went from drab, uninviting porch to a warm, welcoming space that you want to spend time in! I would love to see more videos like this on your channel!
This porch turned out great!! It's so cozy now with a chill vibe!!!! Love it. Great idea with the pallets for a couch would have never thought of that thanx 💗
This is one of the best videos ladies! Great job. Here in fridgid Minnesota we hardly have time to get ready for summer outside before it is over again. Love the work. Keep it up!!!
I loved it and I am jelly I don't have any outdoor space.I am really curious though to know how it looks now, exactly a year later. Did it live up to your expectations? Would you do things differently? Was the weather/rain an issue? Please share your experiences :)
Wow! What a transition, Becky. You turned your plain ole back deck into a cozy fun place just to hang out with your Sweetie (yes, and Danny too) ;), friends or just by yourself with a good book. Nice work!
If you like patios, you should visit Córdoba (Spain) in May some time! We have a few local festivities that month, and one of them is a contest where people decor their patios with flowers to win a award, and you can actually visit them. They are sooo gorgeous and colorful. If you are curious, just google ''Patios Córdoba España''. Btw we call that ''porche'', patios are a bit different here, but that space turned out very beautiful
The space is absolutely stunning, but as a former Toronto girl myself, I wonder how you are going to keep all of that lovely furniture nice with our changing weather. For the moment, mostly just rain, but eventually snow and ice as well.
Geezbees the curtains dry really fast... And from living in a country similar to Canada in climate I have learned to take pillows and stuff like that indoors when it's bad weather 😄 so I think they do that to 😃
I definitely can see the corrugated plastic over the roof of the patio. In Canada you would be crazy to put all that gorgeous stuff on an uncovered patio! Great job. I love that coffee table from Home Sense!! 👍👍
This was awesome!! I'm wondering what can be done for a condo deck? It would be great to see what could be created for that kind of small space still keeping with the beachy theme.
Mykasan I lived in Chicago, aka the windy city, and we had tiny cheap target pillows that never blew away. Ocassionally around the balcony, yes, but none ever disappeared.
itsreallymefyi, well then you’re lucky because I live in Chicago as well and cannot keep anything on our porch beside the furniture. You must not live IN the city.
I've lived in Downtown Toronto (just recently moved) where it's really windy and rainy. In my experience, nothing blew away or moved around too much on my patio. I had the hanging nightstand as a little table in the middle of two patio chairs and that did occasionally move but none of the things I put on it fell off or broke.
Love love love the patio makeover!!! We are in process of doing our new patio/home and you have given me some awesome, affordable ideas...especially that pallet couch.. Thanx much and am a new subscriber!!!
This is kind of impractical. The white cushions will get dirty too quickly. There's a curtain near the grill and it can catch fire quite easily. Plus, the wind will knock off the hanging shelves. 😒
Loooved this video so much! Great job! I have a long and skinny side yard that I’d love to make cozy with a pallet couch too. I’d love to see what you girls would do with a tiny front porch area too!
I've watched quite a few of your vids over the last few days. But THIS video earned my "sub." It looked so tropical and beautiful. Lovely and well done!
Very lovely patio makeover To make the curtains look more even try putting up simple white shower curtains and you can hook the little curtain holes to the hooks you placed on the frame
This is great! Please do more outdoor/patio/yard projects this summer!
Deadgamer77 I
Yes! Some small apartment balconies too! :)

I just don’t think those cushions will stay white for long.
Most patio cushions have a special waterproof coating on them
Jessica Nicole the trellis has plastic roofing on top of it. You can see it at 3:08
itsreallymefyi, it’s not plastic you can tell it’s just a screen.
Jessica Nicole No, if you look above, you can see the plastic. Look past the trellis and the screen.
"the BBQ, which is obviously staying" - YES!! I love the idea of using the pallets to make an outdoor couch. So affordable and cute!
You did a great job Becky, it looks amazing! I would take it one step further and power wash the entire thing and repaint the railings and ceiling.
I'm so shook how it seems like you put little effort towards this, but then the outcome was INCREDIBLE! I love the couch, I think I'll try something similar.
I love the look of the pallets, however I've always been afraid to use them for seating because I think they're perfect spider condos 😯
spray every few weeks with a spider killer?
@@debrap947 very good idea. Tfs
@@mmhmm1974 You are welcome! 😉
Spiders hate peppermint Sol Spray some peppermint oil on the bottom of the couch
WOW I love how you can take a really small and simple space and turn it into something beautiful!
I agree the curtains might get sooty from the smoke
Oh I so NEED a small patio makeover! Apartment friendly would be perfect!
Apartment balcony ideas, for sure! :) :)
I live in Toronto and am in desperate need of a small patio makeover if you need one 😂
Seriously I could not find any patio makeovers that I liked until watching this! Thanks for your creativity!
Could you guys do an apartment balcony makeover? On a budget 😅
My balcony is about 94 sqft and I'd really like to spruce it up
Done it again, blew my mind. Becky you are amazing. I've wanted to crate an outdoor space for a while now and this is now my go to reference to know that its not that grandiose of a project, challenging (maybe), but will be totally worth it. THANK YOU!!!!!
I’m just imagining the bipolar Canadian weather tearing all this hard work down lol
Mariellen Stathopoulos right?????????????
Mariellen Stathopoulos when a thunderstorm comes, all the stuff could be taken inside, right? :)
Mariellen Stathopoulos I live in Michigan so I was thinking that ‘oh, if I did this I’d only be able to have it up for like three maybe four months, if I’m lucky.’ 😂😂 and then I seen this and i realized that they are in the same boat as me. Lol.
Mariellen Stathopoulos this bothers me so much. Rain. And where I live we have tons of pigeons here. Nasty birds.
In some places in Canada it they have no snow
I love how cozy it looks now!!! You guys are so good at decorating!!!
Great job!!! an amazing transformation!!! Congrats Becky!!!
wow becky it was super quick and it made a big difference...and the plants are ALWAYS helping
Loved it! Minimal yet effective makeover.
Closet makeovers would be super useful!
This turned out so cute! You are so down to earth and your vision is so motivating and inspiring.
where did u get the cushions and what sizes please? we get so many full size pallets from my work and was thinking if they needed to be cut down or in half? love your patio....gorgeous! Thank you for sharing....you are an amazing person and truly enjoy all your videos :)
Susan Kottke the Cushions are from Ikea :-)
I love it! Personally I would hand the curtains on rods, but it's a great vibe, perfect for transiltional weather as I gues sit will pack down super easy and store well for those candian winters. Great work Bekky!
Yasss just in time with this vid. I've been wanting to do my balcony and this is the perfect inspo!! Also I dig the palette lounge situation.
Love how it turned out. Simple and cute and chill. I love the boho vibe going on.
This turned out GORGEOUS, FABULOUS, AMAZING, FANTASTIC 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 congratulations Becky you slaaaayed it 🔥🔥🔥
The dog on the couch was definitely THE CUTEST accessory😊, also now I wish I had a balcony to make over
The *AESTHETIC* tho ♡♡♡
The patio look so dreamy. Love it! The curtains are super cute too!
Ps. Don't forget that when you're going to barbeque, take them out because it's going to smell (or you could just throw them in the wash).
LOVE this!! It looks amazing! So wish I had a patio space, we want to add on to our house and make one... I live in Florida, my house is less than 10 years old, and it has no patio...... it’s a struggle
oh my goodness it looks so amazing!!! I am just so impressed by how you were able to transform your patio!! mad props to you
Where are the cushions from??
Cute, I’m totally inspired to clean up my patio now! I highly recommend candles specifically for the patio, they help out a lot with warding off all those pesky bugs

alwaysadventuring1
Paint them bright colors, that's what i do!
This is so funny because I have been talking about a porch makeover the last week and then saw this. So many good ideas!! I live in an apartment building in Toronto and have a tiny balcony but I still got some awesome ideas!! Thank you so much. Also it looks AMAZING!
Loved your vid! Question: what cushions are these? I think you said they were from IKEA! Thanks!
Omgeeeee. This is such a cool and cute diy makeover transformation. It had serious chillaxing vacay vibes. 👏👏👏
Dang!! You are so talented!!
What a cute little hang out spot! My mom is getting a front porch done soon and I am inspired!
Best porch makeover.....love you guys😚😚
Omg thanks for this super easy makeover. It's perfect for my Malaysian weather condition. I can imagine myself having coffee with my cats there already!
Now I want a patio. It's so beautiful
Gorgeous makeover! It went from drab, uninviting porch to a warm, welcoming space that you want to spend time in! I would love to see more videos like this on your channel!

Love this project you done, I will be copying this from porch decking to furniture decor...love it so much it's got a bohemian feel to it😍👍
Exxxxcusssseeeee me!!!! This is gorgeous!! You girls always have the right vibes goin on
One thing I would suggest you look into is the greenbo railing planters. I have four in my garden and they're really cool.
Yes. Before and Afters 🤤 why are they so addictive ! 🤗
i love how it turned out! such a big difference!
Would loooove to see a small entry (or no entry) space makeover!!
Love it! So gonna do the pallette seating area!
This is gorgeous! Loved this. Definitely getting the bohemian,Bali , vacay not on vacay vibes.
You made your patio look amazing. It brought the outside of your house to life.
Girl you gonna set those curtains on fire with that BBQ!
This porch turned out great!! It's so cozy now with a chill vibe!!!! Love it. Great idea with the pallets for a couch would have never thought of that thanx 💗
You should bring in some Citronella plants! Natural mosquito repellent ;)
This is one of the best videos ladies! Great job. Here in fridgid Minnesota we hardly have time to get ready for summer outside before it is over again. Love the work. Keep it up!!!
Thank you so much for this ! we are on the same page LOL! I just started the same project yesterday !
Blows my mind how effortless you make creating such a cute place look.
The transformation was amazing, though I'm just worried about the rain coming in and ruining all your hard work.
This has to be the best and most practical patio transformation ever. I'm so inspired. Great job!
I cracked up when your dog got in the way 😂😂😂 Really nice job though, loved it
I loved it and I am jelly I don't have any outdoor space.I am really curious though to know how it looks now, exactly a year later. Did it live up to your expectations? Would you do things differently? Was the weather/rain an issue? Please share your experiences :)
Looks soooo nice & relaxing !!
Wow! What a transition, Becky. You turned your plain ole back deck into a cozy fun place just to hang out with your Sweetie (yes, and Danny too) ;), friends or just by yourself with a good book. Nice work!
Watching in the middle of a shopping trip lol
This looks so good! Definitely continue to do these smaller makeovers

Wow this is so wow, so much envy for the space yall can have! So pretty too!
All I can think of is when it will be super stormy and you have to hide all of those little things and cushions flying around.
The space is absolutely stunning, but as a former Toronto girl myself, I wonder how you are going to keep all of that lovely furniture nice with our changing weather. For the moment, mostly just rain, but eventually snow and ice as well.
What if it rains ?
Geezbees the curtains dry really fast... And from living in a country similar to Canada in climate I have learned to take pillows and stuff like that indoors when it's bad weather 😄 so I think they do that to 😃
Geezbees outdoor furniture is created to be able to withstand the rain.

*DANNY* ❤❤❤❤
This is the exact video I needed today!! I just purchased a screen house and I was in desperate need of some inspo. Thank you Becky!!
Can I take your dog please??
😮😍
What an amazing upgrade! Good job Becky!
OMG BECKY YOU DECOQUEEN
This was awesome!! I'm wondering what can be done for a condo deck? It would be great to see what could be created for that kind of small space still keeping with the beachy theme.
most of it would get blown away by the wind. too bad because it's really pretty
Mykasan She lives in Toronto and I lived there too. Nothing on our patio blew away. I’m sure she’ll be fine. 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
I know toronto's weather. It's a broad statement.
I've lived in Downtown Toronto (just recently moved) where it's really windy and rainy. In my experience, nothing blew away or moved around too much on my patio. Whats the story behind your guys youtube name
epac06 Pac The’re Canadian! We say “sorry” a lot apparently :)
Oh😂
Such a clean and dreamy space! I love it!
This is kind of impractical. The white cushions will get dirty too quickly. There's a curtain near the grill and it can catch fire quite easily. Plus, the wind will knock off the hanging shelves. 😒

I’d love to see what you girls would do with a tiny front porch area too!
Enjoy your summer on your new porch space. Just love all your ideas.
This is GREAT 👍 from one fellow Canadian to another, Patio season is LIFE!
the makeover looks awesome!! this patio is affordable makeover goals!
Becky, your patio turned out great!!!! Amazing actually! I love it. It does really feel like in Bali.
I've watched quite a few of your vids over the last few days. But THIS video earned my "sub." It looked so tropical and beautiful. Lovely and well done!
OMG I want your patio!! I didn't know patios could be so beautiful!!!
So cool! Stay great until doggie paws and terrible storms disrupt but that is part of the charm with outdoor spaces. Great ingenuity!!!
Very lovely patio makeover
To make the curtains look more even try putting up simple white shower curtains and you can hook the little curtain holes to the hooks you placed on the frame
I love the whole space, but especially that coffee table! I will definitely be on the hunt for it. Great job! ❤
You did such an amazing job, Becky!!
I love the pallet idea to use as the base for the couch!
It looks so nice and I love how the fairy lights look at night !!
It looks so good! I'm jealous! It's crazy how little you spent and how amazing it looks!
I love the vibe this space gives me!
