Btw for color grading I learnt mostly from the following video,✌🏻in case you want to check it out: ruclips.net/video/Gz_QzBdHDYc/видео.htmlsi=L0LaZSC029iQ89qd
Thnx for not adding the extra noisy piano or u gly background music. I found this video more informative thn other channel's. 🤍✨love to see indian artist doing something like this. Good luck for ur clay business & RUclips ✨🌷🤍
His shray! Today first time I tried making porcelain clay by following sugar café tutorial. But I don’t know why my clay get cracks in it. I tried needing it but there are so many cracks in it. And when I try to make something it’s just doesn’t turn out neat and clean
Hi! :) As mentioned in the video cracks usually occur when you don’t mix the ingredients properly, use incorrect ingredient measurements, overcook the clay or if you do not knead the clay while it’s hot. If you didn’t make any of the above mistakes then I am not sure why the cracks appeared. Maybe try a few more times with small batches of clay.
I tried to make this clay 3-4 times with exact recipe but idk my clay always turn into disaster. Sometimes to dry, sometimes too sticky....well, Idk it just artist ppl thing ig. You guys hv magic in yo hands ✨🤍🌷
I was facing two major issues. One was with coloring, which you helped me solve-thank you very, very much! ❤❤The second issue is that after drying, the size shrinks too much, and sometimes the shrinking changes the shape of the object as well. Could you show the changes that occur before and after drying, so I can figure out if I’m making a mistake in any of the steps?
Yayyy! I am glad that it helped.❣️ Coming to your second problem-cold porcelain clay does naturally shrink upto 20-30% as it dries, so some change in size or shape is normal. To minimize change in shape, knead the clay thoroughly before shaping and keep it slightly thicker. Thinner pieces of clay or hollow shapes are more prone to shape changes. If at all you want to make a hollow shape, you can fill the inside with aluminium foil to avoid a drastic change in shape. Kneading a small piece of clay for a long time helps get rid of air pockets in the clay which are not always visible to our eyes. Another important step for minimising shape change is allowing the clay charms to dry slowly. So avoid direct sunlight or heat while drying the charms. You can also keep the charms inside a box with lid and poke tiny holes in it to slow down the drying process. Hope this helps!
@shrayarchy So it does shrink! In YT videos , it's just not very noticeable, which is why I was doubtful. I'll be sure to keep in mind the tips you shared about shape changes. Thank you so much for your detailed and thorough response,I really appreciate it.. 😊💜🌼
Informative video! 👌 For how long can we store the clay? Secondly, in case the clay feels hard after few weeks of storage, is it okay to use moisturizer to soften it up or will I risk fungal growth?
Thanks a lot!☺️ It should stay intact and in good condition up until 1-2 months or even more in some cases if it’s kept wrapped in cling film, inside an airtight container. (Provided you have added vinegar or some for of preservative while making the clay.) I have seen a few people use moisturiser to soften it but I am sorry I can’t comments whether it’ll lead to fungal growth in later stage since I have personally never tried that. Maybe you can experiment and moisturise to soften just the little portion as and when you sculpt instead of adding moisturiser to the whole batch, just to avoid and contamination post storage.
I’m not sure why that happened because the vinegar that we add acts as a preservative and prevents fungus. Plus keeping the clay wrapped in cling film and inside an airtight contact prevents insects.
Hey when I tried to make this clay it was stiff to work with So I added hot water to get the tear drop texture.I got the tear drop texture but what would be the outcome adding water into this clay? Will it be durable?
Hey! I have seen some videos where people advice to use water when the clay is slightly dry so it shouldn’t cause any problem however I can’t say for sure or comment on the durability or effect on the clay because I’ve personally never faced a stiff clay issue or used water for softening the clay.
Can you pls tell me how to preserve without uv resin (to me uv resin is a bad luck for over 2years) ......how do i preserve the charms without them sticky or yellow in the long run ?
Hi! I am glad you like the space! :) For all my pricing I stick to the following rule: (Hourly Rate*No. of Hours)+ Material Cost + Approx. Overhead Cost
I just tried making it on stove top 😂it got lil more cooked can I redeem it by putting lil oil or anything if there’s any possibility 😂of its survival?
Ahhh shoot! Honestly I have tried oil and moisturizer for my overcooked clay and nothing seemed to work out for me. No matter what, the clay anyhow got cracks when I tried to sculpt using it. :(
When I make the clay, the smell of glue is lot strongerr and it remains after sculting also. What can i do for that? Btw love your videos so much❤. Looking forward for more cute contents.
I’m glad you’re enjoying the content.❣️ I’m afraid I do not have a solution for that since in my case the smell of glue stays once the clay is made but after sculpting over a few days the smell weakens. Not sure why it’s so strong in your case. Maybe try switching the brand of glue.
I’m sorry to hear that. Since I’ve never experienced that before myself, I searched a bit on RUclips. And I came across this sweet lady who was showing how to fix crumbling clay. Maybe it’ll help you. Here’s the link: ruclips.net/user/liveFPTlNlpxOPI?si=X7HRjMkd8-OX5ZEK

Hi, loved the video.🥺
Can u mention which PVA glue are you using? I don’t know which one to choose
I’m glad you enjoyed it! ☺️
I use Fevicol Craft Glue. In case you want the link to the supplies and tools I use, it’s in the video description.

You can try clear lacquer spray. I personally do not like the finishing of lacquer spray but you can give it a try! :)
