- Welcome to my channel, thank you for watching my videos and please don't forget to share. Your views are important, they are my recompense for my invested time required to share my videos with you and help my channel to grow, one little step at a time.
I share with you my successful flexible and moldable cold porcelain clay recipe.
Important notes:
1. Glue : Don't use School glue it is too diluted, but Elmer-Glue all multi purpose glue - extra strong formula.
2. Stearic acid is very important ingredient to add, usually used in cosmetic industry, with 2 important functions: firstly : emollient and softener and secondly : is an stabilizer and thickener.
3. Glue and Cornstarch are in grams and added by weight and not cups.
4. At the end of the cooking process clay must be non sticky on touch but keep stickiness inside. If it is too sticky, cook 15-30 seconds more, than verify the consistency again. Avoid overcooking. Undercooked clay can be heated/cooked for few seconds more and corrected but overcooked clay will be too firm, rubbery and impossible to work with.
5. If you are making the clay for the first time, please follow all steps, measure each ingredient, but the experience of seeing and feeling the right consistency will come with an experience.

Maa Shaa Allah nicely taught
Wow that's awesome recipe ❤
Very satisfying to watch and I appreciate that you answered questions in these comments. Definitely subscribed!
This looks so promising! I’m hoping this works for cold porcelain flowers.
very cool... I will give it a try. well I also have cold porcelain recipe ,all ingredients are available at home. give it a try and see the results. thanks for sharing this new recipe.
Thank you so much for the video it Worked fabulous for me! I was just wondering which colorant or paint you use ?? I’ve tried several but get or super sticky or dries out quickly! 😊 hope you can help with some tips✌🏻✌🏻
Great recipe! I tried cooking it in the pan but it was a flop, so I decided to follow the steps but using the microwave at 30sec intervals, its terrific!
I have made a few recipes now but this by far has the most integrity. Thankyou
What container did you use in the microwave?
@@75richgarrattI would use a glass bowl. It can usually take a very high heat.
Thanks. I’m going to try it out.😊
Do we need to bake te ar itemsae making
Hello there, I just want it to ask if Vaseline could be used instead of the baby oil? I am new on the cold porcelain clay and I will definitely give it a try. Thank you for sharing 🌷
Hello! Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Please a question. How many drops of Wilson white food coloring should I add, if not I have the stearic acid? Thank you so much.
Tq u for your recipe I have try all method finally sucessful with your recipe ,non sticky and best Is flexible

Hello! Congrats for this presentation. Please, how long does ir become flexible after drying!!!??
Thank you ❤
Thank you for your video going to give it a go
Did you ever try different starches ?
Which colours can b added?food powder colours?or oil paints ?plz reply

Is it flexible after dry?
What is the titanium dioxide for?
Thank you very much for sharing your wonderful technique. What is the alternative to stearic acid please?
Organic beeswax is an alternative, also lecithin, in some recipes candle wax is added, but I never tried to substitute so I don't now how each substitute will react with glue.
Plz reply will this remain flexible after drying?
Amiziing recepi but where can i by stearic acide?
Hi,I’ve tried many receipts but all of them didn’t turn out good,I used them to make flowers and pastels needed to be super thin,after dry all the petals edges curl,like waves,I don’t know why….
If this recipe also same?make a thin piece petal leave it there after dry it curls ?
I forgot..does it need to be stored in the fridge and how long can you keep the dough before ot gets off?❤
Will this type dry hard?
Thanks for sharing
I have one question is it flexible after drying or not?if u make flower
I can't confirm that it will be flexible after drying.
Hi. I liked your recipe step by step thank u 🥰. For how many days v can keep kneaded clay in zip lock bag?
When well wrapped and zip locked, better stored away from light, in the drawer per exemple, 2 + weeks without any issues, possibly more.
Any substitute for stearic acid
Will it dry
Does this recipe work please?
Hi...my clay crack when dried. Is it because too much water? Or overcooked? But it is flexible and make a teardrop before dried.
Probably lightly overlooked.
❤️ boa noite, por favor coloque tradução em português.
E nós ingredientes também, muito obrigado
Hi what is your flower mould called and where to get them from, thank you for sharing
Hi, it is plumeria flower mold, I bought it on Aliexpress, grey molds are firmer and greater quality that pink molds.

My clay has the perfect consistency but somehow it is way too soft to work with. It is impossible to make sculptures etc., what should I do to make it firmer? Should I add more cornflour??
Stearic acid add firmness, do not omit it. If you added as followed in recipe and it still too soft, next time you are making the clay add 1/8tsp more. You can always try to cook it a bit longer in microwave, may be your batch is undercooked.
U can expose the clay to air for a little while before using it
How the charms that are made up of this clay will hard ? Like should we microwave it or by leaving it on air ..? Plz reply
Cold porcelain clay is cooked and it is air drying.
Problem with cooking oil will it not go rancid?
Other than that it looks OK 👍🏼
I am using a mineral oil not vegetable / cooking so it will not rancid.
Does this air dry, or have to be baked?
Air dry
Does it shrink when it dry?
Todas las pastas encogen cuando secan, es cosa de practicar 😅
Respiratory Issues: Inhaling stearic acid particles can cause respiratory problems, such as coughing, wheezing, and shortness of breath. ALSO Allergic Reactions: Some individuals may be allergic to stearic acid, which can lead to allergic reactions, such as hives, itching, and swelling.
I made it now, seams it is perfect coz not sticking in my hands, but I have missed to add vinegar, coz it is used finally and I didn't notice. What can I do now. Please help me
Vinegar act as conservant, I am not sure you can do any thing to add it at the and, just keep in mind that you need to use this batch quicker.
Can I use white acrylic color instead of titanium dioxide??
Hi, you can but it could change a bit consistency, because acrylic color is a dilution, it is liquid, but titanium dioxyde is concentrated powder.
@@jenastelensya3215 thank you so much❤️🙏
@@jenastelensya3215I used titanium dioxide and made my clay according to ur instructions, it came out so
perfec but in few months the items turned out to be bit yellowish. Please can u help me to fix the issue
Does it have to be Elmer's Glue because i only have regular (cheap) white glue
I use only White Elmer's Glue, it contains required ingredients and consistency.
@@jenastelensya3215 thank you❤❤
how u get that thick consistency before your are going to stove ,, i used same measurements but I am not getting loose texture ,, can u tell me how Cani get that loose texture ,, I need to add more glue or water to adjust loose consistency ,, please reply I tried but it won't work out ,, smell is coming how to reduce that clay smell ..please share some tips
275gr by weight of white elmer glue & 125gr by weight of cornstarch, there is no water to add.
You need to mix until smooth before heating. Maybe the glue you use is too thick? I don't have the issue you describe when making the clay.
@@jenastelensya3215 thank u so much I used Fevicol
Malzemeleri yazarsanız daha mutlu oluruz,teşekkürler ❤
what happens if you don't cook the clay enough? Does it stay spreadable but liquid?
It could be too sticky to use as a modeling clay if very undercooked, it change consistency during cooking process.
youre still doing the specific spoon thing, thats a bit confusing but THANK YOU SO MUCH to use weightes measurements instead of cups!
the receipt looks good, I will test it in the coming days and leave an update :)
thought it will stay flexible after drying :(
but it doesn't at all.
Waiting for ur feedback
Waiting for ur feedback
I'm just curious, why would you need it to stay flexible after it dries?
Hello, does it crack/shrink after drying?
I did not experienced cracking, yes, it will shrink a bit, like any glue based cooked clay.
@@jenastelensya3215 thank you..
Hi. I liked your recipe step by step thank u ❤❤ can i use corn flour instead of cornstarch
Hi, I can not say, never tried but, corn flour is not same as corn starch, they don't have same thickening properties and will not result same texture.
thank you very much 🥰
what kind of glycerine do you use?
The one I can buy at pharmacy
@@jenastelensya3215 Thank you.
Why stearic acid
Que pena no saber las cantidades de cola fría y de maicena
i search stearic acid in online shops, and i'm confuse there are double pressed and triple pressed stearic acids. i don't know the difference.
On my package there is no mention about it, but I think it is triple pressed because mine is cosmetic grade .
Does it get hard after air drying or you oven dry?
Cold porcelain clay is glue based so it is air dried, yes become hard.
@@jenastelensya3215 Thanks
What is titanium dioxide?
Powdered colorant, usually it is food grade
Since it contains food base items, won’t the finished product eventually mold?
Once the mineral oil and glycerin is added, it should not mold after drying.
Edit: oh and also the vinegar.
No not really
Add salt to it
Can i skip titanium dioxyde?
Without titanium dioxyde clay can not be opaque white, you can also add few drops of white food colorant if you have.
@@jenastelensya3215 White food coloring is titanium dioxide.
I don't understand, I try this recipe 3 times, but failed everytime. The cornstarch will create translucent clumps and my clay would ended up rubbery.. Does it have anything to do with the stearic acid? please reply..
Cornstarch must be very well mixed with glue before cooking and may be you cook to quickly, or your heat is too high, try on lowest heat, also it Do not overcook and mix during cooking process.
@@jenastelensya3215 also, I use pva glue and they're thick, thicker than the elmers glue all. Should I change the measurement at all ?
@@roccothedubaiboi4812 elmers glue is PVA glue, depending on the brand you use, the PVA percentage varies slightly from brand to brand but a lot of white glues (the ones that aren't a washable formula) have PVA but this also includes wood glues. Elmers may have more water in it than more expensive brands like linocut or Tacky Glue. Some water will evaporate during the cooking process, but not all, that is why air dry clay shrinks. If you have a more expensive PVA with a higher PVA content you may need more water to help kick the polymerization in the corn starch.
Look up DIY cornstarch bio plastics and you will gain some insight to what is going on with the water and acid.
Then you will come away wondering why this recipe has two different types of acids in it, a long chain fatty acid (Stearic) and short chain (vinegar), which the author might not be able answer, then you may be on the road to becoming a chemist when you find several white papers which use Stearic acid and skip vinegar all together....
can I use citric acid instead of stearic acid?
Citric acid and stearic acid is not at all the same, not the same uses, stearic acid is a type of wax used in cosmetics, Google indicates that can be substituted by beeswax , but I never tried to.
@@jenastelensya3215 I tried, but over cooked, l will try tomorrow again😅
What if stearic acid is not added?
Stearic acid need for clay texture / firmness.
Creo q la gracia de un video es para aprender sugiero mas despacioy tradución a español
ممكن المقادير باللغه العربيه
it didn't work for me, it turned out impossible to handle cause it was way to sticky :(((
If it is too sticky need to cook little bit longer until it will detach from the pan.
Looks nice, I just don't like that food is being used
What is Sltearic acid?where do i found it
Stearic acid is a cosmetic grade wax in powder ( like beeswax) sold on Amazon.
@@jenastelensya3215 any alternate?
Beeswax is possibly an alternative, please read on Google, but I do use only Stearic acid and did not tried to substitute.
@@sabidolati... I used vinegar instead of the acid and result is good

Will it remain flexible after drying??
Did you ever try different starches?
Cornstarch only.
Any substitute for stearic acid
you can use :
lemon juice or vinegar ...
you can change the glycerin... and replace it with... petroleum jelly
if you want to color your porcelain .....
There are several options..
~~Put a small drop of food
coloringde ...
~~ You can use food gel ...
one drop at a time
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
*** VERY IMPORTANT ***
***********************
**The two mentioned above... each drop must be mixed very well in the porcelain, until the color is uniform ***
*****************************
~~Acrylic paint , I personally
don't like ! you have to
put it several times and it
will become sticky ... you
can put cornstarch to
thicken ....
** Except that...**
the porcelain becomes
drier and loses that
flexibility. It dries faster
and tends, while drying,
cracked so you have to
plug the cracks and know
very long.... between each
layer to fill the holes ... it
must be sanded so that
the porcelain becomes
smooth .... this option...
*** DOES NOT DO THAT ***
*****************************
I hope it will help you, for my part .. I prefer to use .... a small can of gel or liquid, because the gel is very expensive and continue our good old method... Painting porcelain with acrylic paint... it is not necessary that your acrylic paint is shiny...I always take the matt paint and I use varnish at the end.. then I am able to protect my
Créations yellowing and the colors stand out even more
Good Creations
