    This is a really detailed video for troubleshooting to make the perfect consistency of the cold porcelain clay! I was wondering if you can mess up making the clay? What to avoid or how do you know you messed it up??

      Hello.. so glad you liked it :)
      I have been making this clay for 3 years and so I rarely mess it up ... but one thing I am super careful about is not to overheat it , sticky clay can be easily handled by mixing in more starch , but once the clay is overheated , its almost impossible to get it in the right consistency again :( ... so thats one thing I always make sure 🩷 and slowly after a few times you will kind of get the hang of it .

    I made a small batch with my young daughter using your tutorial and it didn’t turn out right. We couldn’t figure out what we did wrong. We came back to your video and re-watched it and discovered from your video AND a wonderful comment you made to a viewer that the most common mistake is overcooking the clay. Looking back, that is EXACTLY what happened to our first batch. Due to it being half the amount, it easily overcooked after only two sessions of 30 seconds.😳 Oops! There was no way to rescue it, no matter how much glycerine or lotion we added.😂 Our second batch turned out PERFECT! we did about 4 rounds of 10 seconds and that did the trick! THANK YOU SO MUCH for your clear instructions and tutorial! My daughter and I are looking forward to quality craft time tomorrow once the clay rests. We’re just doing it for fun but if we ever get as good as you, you best believe we will shower you with credit! Nothing but good karma will come your way, dear! So grateful to have found your channel and happy to subscribe!😊

    I used to make this clay when I was a kid! And it was the best clay I ever used, was disappointed when I finally got polymer clay and realised it was difficult to condition it to a softer consistency before using it 😆 adding the white acrylic is a great tip so it doesn't yellow, I never thought of that!

    Hi, I just want you to know that your channel made it this far because of this! you shared your knowledge and years of work with us. most of content creators wont because they feel like they would have competitors or selling their ideas for more profit. For us viewers, it could just be a forming thought of “oh i want to do it” or “i can do it to”. Some would try it and get bored some would just buy materials and forget about it. Thank you for sharing and not being greedy about this cause you are not losing any, all the more, you are gaining people because of what you do! Thank you! 😊

      Hey !! Thank you so much ! Your comment absolutely made my day …. 🩷
      I think as an artist , I love sharing processes and techniques with others . Just gives me immense happiness seeing others making things inspired by my works … that being said I do understand why some creators gatekeep their methods . I mean I have seen my works and techniques getting copied to the absolute last details 🫣 and what make somewhat upset is sometimes they don’t bother to give credits . So I definitely understand why some artist might not want to give away their months of research for free just to increase their competitors . But also as someone who learnt everything mostly through RUclips , I wanted to contribute what I have learnt as well .🌱🩷

    • @baronislove3063
      @baronislove3063 3 месяца назад

      @@barnika_roynath it is a matter of how you treat your viewers. it would be disappointing if they copied yours and is selling it. but all the viewers know it is yours. as long as you got your people, customers, and viewers, no matter how much they copy from you, people would still choose you. I subscribed last night because i bought the crayola clay its been in my room for 4 months now, and nothing happened 🤡😂 i saw this and was inspired to look in the room where it was but you are so creative i am just to view and not make one. 😂😂😂 i am just happy to see an artist doing what they love, have decent amount of viewers, selling your product and staying happy! i wish that to all your subscribers too, including me :) you provide that missing part of every viewer of enjoying a simple artsy life, so thank you for your videos!

    Fevicol in microwave safe bowl, corn starch, preservative (vinegar), coconut oil, aryclic colour. microwave 4 times for 30 seconds between mixing. pull for testing, must leave residue when you pull but not when you touch.
    Add smaller amounts of corn starch and start kneading. Add glycerine if you need, not water. Keep kneading until it's cold to touch. Conduct teardrop test; knead more if it doesn't look like a teardrop when you pull. Air dry clay must be stored after being oil brushed/petroleum jelly, wrap in clear cling wrap and stored in an air tight container.

    I’m so confused the corn starch you’re using says also known as corn flour but if you google it it says they’re 2 different things and corn flour is not recommended for porcelain clay like corn starch is.
    You’re very talented 💖

    I haven't made this clay before but I do have some crafting knowledge that might help if you want the clay to stay white I would definitely recommend adding white acrylic paint bc it's kind of the same process if you use caulking or spackle not sure which for fake frosting if you don't add white acrylic paint it'll turn yellow and also I think it would be better to use plastic wrap to store the clay because in ceramics we would transfer our clay that came in thick plastic packaging to a thin trash bag because the thicker plastic would dry the clay out faster so I would probably use the plastic wrap to store this clay

    Can I use any vinegar to make the clay, or is it strictly synthetic vinegar that should be used? I’ve seen other clay making videos and they say to use any vinegar, so I’m confused by this. And I want to get the right kind so the clay will be made well and last me a while. Additionally, do you recommend a particular brand of vinegar?
