What you create leaves me mind blown & gobsmacked. I scoured the comments until I found the responses to the glue & fabric softener you use(Gorilla & Downy) so this afternoon I’m going out to buy glycerin & sodium benzoate so I can make this recipe tomorrow. Thanks to you Honey, you are very kind, I am very happy that you like my work, it means a lot to me, yes, of course, you can cook the cold porcelain in the microwave, mix all the ingredients well, then place it for 2 minutes in the micro, you stir well and put the mixture back for another 2 minutes at medium temperature, take it out and mix it again completely and then put it back in the micro for 1 minute each time, until it changes a little color from white to beige and you achieve the desired consistency, it takes more time, but it's possible to do it that way too, thanks for supporting my classes and channel in english, your support helps me a lot to be able to continue sharing what I do with so much love, you know, I'm always willing to support you in this beautiful art, strong and affectionate hug. 🤗❤️😍💕😘❣️

Hello Donna, thank you very much for liking and supporting my classes and channel, Cold Porcelain can last from 6 months to a year, stored in a plastic bag and in a completely hermetic container, yes, it must be in its natural state, without paint, a Painted time lasts less (from 1 to 3 months) depends a lot on the type of paint or pigment with which it is dyed. I once kept a measure for a year for moving reasons and it was completely fine when I used it again, but I do not recommend keeping it for that long, you know, I am always ready to help you in this beautiful art, strong and loving hug. 🤗❤️🥰💕😘❣️

Hi I love this recipe for the air dry clay. Just one question: you mentioned sodium Benzoyd. I'm not familiar with this. Is this a liquid or powder or something else? Thank you very much! 😊 Sincerely Kimmerzz
It’s sodium benzoate, a preservative and can be carcinogenic. I will be using an alternative… I don’t think I’d like to heat something like that on my stove, so maybe use salt?
Hello Dear, no, this recipe does not crack, it is the one I use in all my projects and I have not had a problem with any of my pieces, that is why I share it and recommend it, you know, I am always ready to help you in this beautiful art , strong and affectionate hug. 🤗❤️🥰💓😘💕
Why is mine cracking, I use Elmer glue (since it's the only white glue I can find), and vinegar instead of sodium benzoate. Is this why it cracks. When I made it, it was nice and smooth, pulled really nice.
Hi Suzanne, cold porcelain often cracks because it lacked firing or was kneaded less, we have to knead it enough to remove all the air bubbles that remain inside, if it still has no color you can fire it again a little bit flattening it and placing it again Cook on both sides in the Teflon pan, taking care not to burn it and knead again while it is still a bit warm. I hope your problem is resolved, I'll be watching, you know, I'm always ready to help you with this beautiful art, best regards. 🤗❤️🥰💕😘❣️
Yes, that's right, I use acrylic paints in tubes to give color to my Cold Porcelain, you can also use oils or pigments, but I prefer acrylics, you know, I'm always ready to help you in this beautiful art, best regards. 🤗
I tried this again but this time I used Gorilla wood glue in white, but did not have the sodium benzoate so I use the vinegar. This would not stick together the way it does with Elmers glue. Not sure what is happening
Hi Suzanne, I really don't understand what can happen with your cold porcelain, as I told you before it can only be a cooking or kneading problem, because I use Elmers glue and it works very well for me, just like when I don't have benzoate I use apple cider vinegar or lemon juice and it works very well for me. It's just as manageable.

Hi Elizabeth, yes, PVA glue is appropriate because it is non-toxic, which makes it ideal for the Cold Porcelain recipe, without the need for specific care to protect your health, I always use a mask when I fire my porcelain. It does not burn or explode, so it is quite safe. You know, I am always ready to help you in this beautiful art, best regards. 🤗
I'm gonna have to give this recipe a go! Did you notice any shrinkage like with other cold porcelain recipes? I'm currently sculpting a ball jointed doll with another recipe and it shrinks a fair amount, I can work with that but I'm trying to find recipes that shrink as little as possible
Thank you, that's how cold porcelain shrinks a bit, but it's not that much, I try to add a little more porcelain to the size of the piece so that it stays the size I need it to be, good luck with your project, thanks for your support to our classes and channel, you know, I'm ready to help you in this beautiful art, strong and affectionate hug. 🤗❤️🥰💕😘
My first attempt tonight was a total nightmare. Everything went well to begin with. The trouble started when it came away from the sides of the pan perfectly but when i went to knead it, it stuck to the table, and to my hands, and to the spatula that i tried to scrape it off the table with. I came to the conclusion that the centre of the ball was not cooked well enough. There was no going back to the pan because there was only a small ball left. I decided to microwave it and did this in 10 second bursts until it resembled a small loaf of bread. It is no longer sticky. I have it resting now until tomorrow evening. Lets see what happens then. By the way i followed the recipe exactly, even to the point of waiting for the sodiun benzoate to arrive from Amazon.😅

¡Hola! El benzoato de sodio se puede sustituir por vinagre de manzana o jugo de limón 🍋 en la misma cantidad
