I am delighted with this clay. Thank you so much for making this video. The clay is sturdy and really tough when totally dry. Only very thin things break but that is the same with any air hardening clay and this is so much cheaper to make. Blessings, Juliet. X

    Calcium Carbonate is cheap:
Can be added to any acrylic
paint and any coloured paint if you
want to turn it into chalk-paint:
and it's not expensive as store
    bought chalk-paint:
The calcium C. thickens the acrylic paint: this
thickening makes sure the area you want to
paint is covered well: it hides all marks etc..
Once yr paint is dry, you are ready for
    eg... decoupaging and remodernizing
anything you want, especially old or dirty wood, any
old or outdated ceramics glass and
furniture, that you want to make it look shabby
    Chic or french vintage antique:
If you accidentally put too much c/c into yr
paint and it's too thick just add more paint to
    thin it down:
You can wash brushes or any items...etc in water.

Just what I need! I have been searching for some self hardening clay that I can apply to vessels and apply small pieces of memorabilia to, creating a memory jug. I assume I can give the clay a slightly coloured shade by mixing acrylic colour to my water?

Thank you for this recipe! I used flour and it came out well! I want to get some of the chalk powder to try too but all I had today was flour 😅. I used it in some tiny molds for doll house miniatures 🎀🎀🎀🎀
