Fine !!! Just a word : it would have been much easier to melt the powders in water if you had very well mixed the two components before. Because each small grain of cornstarch would have been separated from it's neighbors by a small grain of baking soda. When cooking with cornstarch I use to mix it with some sugar before melting it in water. It's easy this way.
Just found your channel! I really appreciate that you stress test these techniques/methods! I'm currently obsessed with salt dough and found this video while searching for new techniques. So cool that this clay doesn’t get affected by moisture! Instant subscribe!
Firstly; I know I've said it before, but I just love the introductory music. Secondly, this clay is definitely for me, as it doesn't stick to the fingers (that's a big bonus). I'm not at all concerned about projects breaking because it seemed to take a very firm pressure to break it, and whom would try that hard? If it's gonna be a feature of a larger product, such as leaves or flowers on a fairy house for example, it's not gonna be mauled about; it's a decorative ornament for house or garden. I just don't see that aspect as a big problem. There are two concerns for me tho, lol; the cooking, but I guess I can sacrifice one of my older fry pans. The second concern is, can it be varnished? I have to say, CC, your new hair style is beautiful! It really suits you! :)
You can use any regular pan from kitchen, it doesnt harm your pans, after cooking, leave the pan to sock in water and clean after an hour normally. Its totally safe to use that pan for cooking again. Yes you can use varnish your projects.
Great......no doubts at all.....please do the tutorial of that fairy house......and all the ornaments were also so cute....I loved that coloured owl 😘 ❤️
I like this mixture better than others I have seen. My question is does it shrink, and how much? Thank you testing. I like everything I have seen from your channel, even though I only watched 3 so far. I will be watching more.
Thank you so much mam for your honest review after making it I really love your crafts and everything that you make please keep on going I hope you will reach millions of subscribers one day thank you once again
Thank you so much for testing this method out for us, its very helpful. I do have one question, have you tried using flour glue for your projects? I was interested in its consistency and how well it would work on small and big projects. If you do make this video it would be most appreciated. Thank you Creative Cat, always sharing good content. 😃👍💕
I think the clay looks fine for simple flat projects. I see some crafting with air dry clay onto round suraces like pressing their label stamps into it or making relief birds to put on pottery, jugs, jars, old paint cans. They press the shape and let it dry then glue with a stronger glue like E6000 or one of the gorilla glues. Even some of those dont work out as dry they have a slightly different shape, then it breaks or falls off over time. I wonder how this clay would last or dry if formed to a curved surface then glued on after drying.
Thanks for sharing...Im defintely gonna use these items for my projects.. But I would most definitely apply a varnish protector or gloss on it so it won't break and would last longer
I don't like this recipe. You say it isn't affected by humidity, but it is after awhile. I'd use a glue like e-6000 or more white glue. A small dot doesn't work like with the regular cold porcelain. Also, if you're making something permanent, like ornaments, you should still glaze it. By the way, I love your new haircut! It looks so cute on you!
yes !!A feedback of your video here👇 I have tried your baking soda clay for the very 1st time I made a painting pallete out of it and it turned amazing It tried nicely and stone like hard Is these any suggestions to make it waterproof...?! BTW this video helped me alot like your other videos🤗🤗🤗✌✌🥰🥰🥰
Love the fact that its going to be a series. Its awesome that you are testing out.. super honest results 👍 Hey, for this baking soda clay you dint mention anything about the shrinkage.. i am curious.. did it shrink?
I love your videos!! You are amazing. I know English is probably your second language and I appreciate that you are probably very intelligent. English is very difficult and often contrary.. I just wanted to tell you that your title should say … does it work. Best of luck! Thank you for your videos!!
👍😎👍 that was cool the way it worked when you use the thick portion of your clay and I think I’m going to make a batch tonight. I would like to make a couple ornaments for when I get my tree this Christmas or in December rather thanks for your input and always remember. Keep moving forward. PS press play.!
How long did your cute fairy house last? Did you seal the paint after applying it? Also, does the recipe produce something like a ceramic consistency? Would a glue made specifically for ceramics work better to stick pieces together? You asked for suggestions. Here's one: supposedly you can make plastic from milk. How well does that work for sculpting? Can it be used to create your own molds instead of silicone? I loved the black and silver owl the best. Great technique!
Thank you! I wonder, when adhering two pieces together, would it help to score both surfaces, then apply a light coat of glue, letting it dry, then apply another coat of glue, then join the two pieces?
Thank YOU. That's was cool. I wonder if you can use play dough to use as clay to do impressions for stamps or bottle art or in a special case for soap embeds. Also, this here, if u wanted to do a part 2, could you try after you do your decorating if it cab be cooked in stove on low heat 2 MAKE a bowl mould or something like that. Also, adding propylene Glycol is a solvent I wonder if it would make it last longer?? On this type of clay here...Umm
The owl was super beautiful! All your work is beautiful. I have one question. When you were able to pull the wing off of the owl, did you have it glued to the owl base, or was it only pushed together against the rest of the clay with no adhesive? If there was no adhesive, I would try using glue like a clear dried glue to hold smaller pieces together that could come apart. Only a suggestion. I have yet to try it but plan on doing so in the future to test out using baking soda clay. It is so economical compared to the rest. Air dry clay is very expensive.
I would like you to experiment with a waterproof glue when you make your clay recipes. I wonder if it will make the projects waterproof (like using marine glue or something) so they won’t need a sealant or varnish? Also, love those designs you made on this video!
Hi, I love your creativity!! I have a question…you have a video with for Air hardening modeling clay, which one is better the one that is made with baking soda or this one?
You are so creative! Love the ‘fairy shoe’. Thank you for a very detailed and informative video. By the way,you are beautiful! Subscribing for more creative ideas! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Hello beautiful lady, thank you so much for the review, I’ve been wondering about this recipe! I’m definitely going to remember to use E6000 when gluing pieces together, lol. Overall it seems to be a really nice alternative and I’m going to make it! Edit: This is going to be the third clay recipe of yours I’m making! I just did the 100% silicone and cornstarch recipe tonight 😊.
Always add the cornflour or cornstarch to cold water, do not add the water to the cornflour. In the first instance they will mix easily, in the second the cornflour will resist and it will be difficult to mix. The same can be said when making sauces and gravy and egg free custards etc.
Creative Cat, you mentioned that you did not know how long the fairy house would last. What did you find out? I really liked the fairy house and loved how you painted it. I wish you had a video of how that was made. I am very curious if the leaves and other extra pieces stayed on since they were on the base piece before it all dried instead of the pieces drying separately and needing glue - at least I am assuming that was how you made it - and how long the piece itself lasted. Thank you!
The fairy house is still intact, if its going to sit at some place where nobody bothers it, it does last long. I do have tutorial for fairy house, plz check in videos.
Thank you for taking the time to test this. I will try it for some of my projects. E6000 glue may make the items stay together better than white glue. I have subscribed to your channel. I'm sure you have much to share.
Thanks, this was great information. Nice to see your pretty face again. I think maybe if you used a better glue it would stick. Elmer's has it's good points but always.
The owl is an amazing project...very beautiful 👍
Thank you for doing the experimentation, and sharing the results! Really appreciate the simple instructions.

Yes it can be varnished and also you can use any of your pans as it's edible too😀
You can use any regular pan from kitchen, it doesnt harm your pans, after cooking, leave the pan to sock in water and clean after an hour normally. Its totally safe to use that pan for cooking again.
Yes you can use varnish your projects.
"Whom would try that hard?" Kids would! Lol 🙂🤣😆
I tried the recipe and traded out some of the baking soda and added some cornstarch. It worked better for me. Thank you for showing us the recipe. 😺💕👍
Great......no doubts at all.....please do the tutorial of that fairy house......and all the ornaments were also so cute....I loved that coloured owl 😘 ❤️
Yes that would be awesome, especially the fairy house boot

Please try to make clay with pop etc
Your work is nice and great I like it
POP is not ideal material for clay....it dries faster in 15 min

@@CreativeCatCreations hey can I use cornflour instead of cornstarch kindly reply
Hi, I use cornflour. As far as I'm aware, it's the same thing x
Is it stronger or does it stick better to dry on dry or wet to wet if u substitute glue for water in the ingredients?
Please try and tell for how many days it will be good
