    Thank you so much for this tutorial! Your pattern is the nicest one on yt 💗 I wanted to ask if it was possible to get other size measurements/stitches for other head sizes? I noticed you tried to answer the question below me but i wanted to know if you had any more tips for that :) thanks!

      Thank you very much!! 💓
      I think Ill try my best again to explain sizing. XD you measure from your forehead to the neck, ( that's how long your balaclava is without neck ribbing) and 1. that's the foundation chain. 2. Next make the rows that covers the top of your head( I did about 4 inches for my 22 inch circumference head) , and when you go to the side 3. which is hdc and slip stitch , put the 1 + 2 on your head and determine how many stitches you need for 3. Which is you must find where your head curves, down to the neck, ( not forehead to the curve) and make hdc stitches for that measurement. Hope this helps.

      Hello there, thank you so much for your comment. It made me really happy because this was my first tutorial/video ever and I attempted to make it private twice since I wasn't confident about it. I'm still scared to have it public to be honest.

    I LOVE YOUR TUTORIAL. Genuinely the most relaxing, helpful crochet tutorials I have come across. I do have a question! I keep getting stuck at the part where you finish the one side of the hood and then you go to create the other side. I'm having trouble figuring out where to start crocheting (the top or the bottom) to create the next 34 HC. I also am not 100% sure which part is the side, and which part is the back.

    • @byshiiho
      @byshiiho  2 года назад

      Thank you so much for your support! I appreciate it!
      People get confused with that part usually and I apologize.
      So the little pointy part where we first made 34hdc is the top part. The 34 HDC rows becomes the side of our head. So you want to connect it to the other side on the bottom part. Remember the pointy part is the top. Hope this helps!!

    heyy, love this tutorial! awesome how in detail you explain everything! also, question: I'm making one but instead of 50 foundation chains I have 70 and I'm not 100% sure how to adjust the 14 rows and 34 stitches, if you have any clue how to adjust them to the 70 stitches, would love to hear it ♥️♥️♥️

    • @byshiiho
      @byshiiho  2 года назад +1

      Thank you so much!! 🥰
      I've never done 70 chains but let me try to explain this. So, the foundation chains should measure up to your forehead line to the neck ( half point of your neck) , and if you have a bigger head, you can adjust the 14 rows, I have a rather small head my circumference is 21. And I made 4 1/2 inches which was 13-14 rows. Then, put that on your head, measure the side, 34 hdc stitches determines the side length of the balaclava. I'm not sure the measurements for you :( but I hope you get this message. I think I would do 46. But again, please measure on your head. I'm sorry it's difficult to explain >-

    are the 34 hdc the same even if you’re making a different size? my foundation chain is 56 so should I do 36 hdc instead?

    • @byshiiho
      @byshiiho  2 года назад +1

      If the foundation chain is different you will need to add/substract. The 34 hdc determines how long your balaclava is on the side part. The rest of the stitches which you'll be slip stitching into will be the top of your head. Thank you!! :))

    • @byshiiho
      @byshiiho  2 года назад +1

      I would do 38 or so ! But has to be even numbers.

    What part of the 50 chain beginning is the balaclava? And how many inches? I’m using thicker yarn

    • @byshiiho
      @byshiiho  2 года назад

      So, 50 chain determines the length of your head. From the top of your head to back of your head, mine is about 11-12 inches.
