    I’ve attempted this about 4 times until I’ve finally given up… if you’re a beginner just a heads up that this video is pretty confusing, but I love how hers turned out!! If anyone has actually managed to complete theirs I’d love some help 🆘😭🤣🤣

    • @fejeshenriett6004
      @fejeshenriett6004 8 месяцев назад

      i think what could be confusing is how she's holding the hook. I don't know if you are like very begginer (this is your first or second project) or like you have done some crocheting but still getting confused, but I would recommend that when she says (or writes) the name of the stitch that she is doing, you can look up a tutorial video always about it, then try it for a few times and after that, pull it out when you get it. I still do this sometimes because my attention span is not always the same (e.g at night) and sometimes it's just how it's shown in the video and I can't really put it together in my head. My other recommendation would be to try a granny square balaclava, as granny squares are usually more beginner friendly and there you just have to make plenty of them and then join it. Hope this helps, don't give it up yet

      I’m beginner, this is my third project. I made sure to learn each stitch she mentioned and the terminology by watching different shorter tutorials. I knew all the stitches in advanced luckily from complete beginner tutorials. I looked up things like ‘how to connect yarn’, ‘how to double crochet in post’, ‘how to double crochet in the round’ and prototyped (aka failed a bunch with cheaper yarn to figure out what I kept getting wrong

    • @fluffypineapple790

      I also didn’t do the foundation double crochet, but instead just changed the difference and then double crocheted into that which only made it look slightly different

    edit: I found a tutorial that describes this part in detail ruclips.net/video/27y5UBkwiEw/видео.html
    like several others I am confused on how to join the foundation double crochets to the other side. where do I slip stitch and do I do the extra two slip stitches there as well? could someone that has figured it out help me understand? no matter how I do it, it doesn't turn out right :(

    I don’t get how she makes the foundation dc’s, like does she chain first?

    • @lalin6855
      @lalin6855 Год назад +2

      you chain 4; yarn over; go back into the 1st loop you made, as well as the back tiny loop (bump); yarn over and pull through; (you should have 3 loops on hook); yarn over; go through ONE loop (should have 3 still); yarn over; pull through 2 loops (should have 2 loops on hook now); yarn over; pull though both and you have 2 double crochets. To continue making double crochets you repeat the yarn over part but instead your hook goes through the bottom of the last stitch. it'll take some time to figure out what the bottom is (for me it did at least) but you'll get it. Don't be afraid to try it out and unwind until it makes sense to you.
