I had a 3ft tree in my first apartment. I decorated it great!
I had an egg for breakfast ❤️
Does this come with knitting instructions I would really love this thank you
for closing the hood did you chain one before closing
😍😍
How many rolls do you use?
😍👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻♥️
Thank you 😊
i needed at least 3 balls of yarn with baby snuggle yarn from Hobbii
Grazie.Ha spiegato super benissimo complimenti. Buona giornata❤❤❤❤
How many yards of yarn did this take? I've seen some really similar yarn at the local store. This might become my first project👀
I love this pattern, and I am just wondering - I am used a super bulky (6) Bernat and a 6, 7, 8 hook, aiming for 8 inches OR 20 cm. But get to 20 cm in length with only 20 sc stitches. Any advice before I go forward? love your stuff, and thanks for it.
go with the cm/in amount instead. that's what i did. would've been ridiculous and way too long if i followed chains
The bottom part is to tight had to rip apart made bottom part 23 in instead of 20
Hi! I've just bought the material necessary for this project - I can't wait, thanks! I was wondering if it's possible to make the hood wider? I'm thinking that at the increase part, if I add 3 single crochets instead of 2?? This is my first project so apologies if this is obvious to others reading this :)
I think if you want to make it wider, you would need to add some stitches on the edge of the ribbing instead so the hood will be wider and not the neck part. But I havent tried it. I would love to hear the result when you are done 🤗
@@DivingDucksCrochet ok! I think I understand :) If I can make this I will try to show you! Thanks so much for the reply!
Muy bonito puede ser en español?
You can choose Spanish in closed captioning which is the words spoken will be written in Spanish across the bottom of the video. To choose Spanish captioning click on the upper right corner of the video and a cog ⚙️ icon appears. From there you can choose CAPTIONS and a drop down menu will appear with language choices. I hope this was helpful 🧶
Sorry my English is not so good. Do you increase and then continue with single crochet stitches?
Hi, love your video. A question. Can this hoodie be made in a cotton yarn thread? Want to make it in cotton.
I’ve seen people use 3 skeins of medium yarn at once to crochet to make a bulky size. I can see this working with cotton if you do it that way
@@dh.151 Thank you so much.
Can other yarns be used? Like other bulky weight yarns?
I do have another Turtleneck Hoodie with a bulky yarn. Go check it out :-)
🎄🎄
Hiw many balls of yarn did you use?
6mm hook with a 6 weight yarn?
If you make this with chunky size 5 yarn, would it work? Do you know what the row counts would be?
I’m aware that diving ducks has 3 sizes of this pattern but is there anyway I can make this into a toddler size?
hi! how many rows for the end of the increase till the end of the proyect?
I’m gonna go through some pain with that hood using a bigger yarn and hook 😮💨 but I will make my teddy bear hoodie
Pattern for me to follow-
-Chain 20-
-Row 1 :-
-Skip 1st chain-
-Sc 19-
-Chain 1 and turn-
-Row 2 - 20 :-
-Skip 1st chain-
-Blsc all stitches until 20 inches-
-Fold in half-
-Slip stitch sides together-
-Turn inside out-
-Sc in all stitches-
-Sc twice in final stitch-
-Chain 1-
-Turn around-
-Sc twice in first stitch-
-Sc in the rest-
-Sc twice in final stitch-
-Chain 1-
-Repeat until 15 in wide-
Chain 1
Sc in all stitches until 13 in long (maybe larger??)
Ss in all stitches

Bjr merci je voudrais le faire en laine 4/5 de Zeeman ça peut ce faire ou pas svp
C'est la laine normale
why is my first row curling??are my stitches too loose or too tight? Thanks love this hooded scarf hope I can make it.
In my experience that is normal, especially when you have tighter chains. If you continue through it should stop the curling. If it still curls when you have about 5 rows done then your chain may be too tight. When I first started making scarves and blankets I used to use a bigger hook to make the chains but as I kept going it got easier to get the chain tensioned right. Hope this helps!
if your first rows are curling ir means that you're doing it too tight, try making them a little bit loose and not pulling the yarn while you're doing single crochet
Whats the difference between this one and the other video you made?
Hello all, I am using super bulky wool and 6mm hook but am coming up to 28cms for 30 stitches, should I go by the number of stitches or the measurements or hook size, a bit new to crocheting. This is the only wool I have and really want to crochet this pattern. Your advice would be greatly appreciated
if you follow the measurements then the hook size or yarn wont matter, hope that helps
@@rachelmaysonet8830 OK thank you so much
How much yarn does this use
If I want to attach this to sweater, how to do so? Can you help me with this?
I made it but I’m confused about how to wear it lol 😅
Please answer my comment....i need your help because i struggle a little bit with the increase of the hood
For the neck, if I make 20 cm I won't have 30 chains because 30 chains give me about 30 cm! So should the neck be made 20 cm high or 30 chains? Thank you
Hey, I’d definitely follow the 20 cm rather than chain amount. That way you’ll end up with the proper ratio, and your balaclava will be the same size as hers.
How do you put it on???
How long will this take to make?
I did mine in apx 2,5 hour 😊
/Vibeke
How long roughly does one take to make?
It took me about 2,5 hours 😍
Can You please make this for me :-)
Ha ha ha 😂
Can I make this with 2mm hook?🥲
You can but it would be a ton more stitches and smaller yarn. Also You’d have to follow the measurements instead of stitches. She has another video with smaller yarn for a similar hoodie
How do you wear it like in the beginning? It doesn't make sense because if i fold it inside the knit goes upwards not top to down like in the image on the maniquen 😢
@OriMoscovitz I'd recommend watching her other balaclava video because in the end she shows how to wear it and it looks like it's basically the same shape so it should also work for this one.
Once you finish you'll have the hood attached to the "neck piece". Fold the neck piece inside out (inwards into the hood) and stop when the neck peice is pretty much inside the hood then put it on. I dont know if that made sense or answered your question but I tried :)
how many chains for a man
🌷🌹👏👏
Hii! It says 30 loops at first but it seems like too much when i did it and my yarn is the same thickness
Thank you for your feedback ❤️
@@DivingDucksCrochet Is it 30 chains in the end? I tried it with 13 instead and it turned out good, but maybe it was just my yarn
Bjr je voudrais le faire avec de la laine 4/5 de Zeeman ça peut ce faire ou pas svp
Yes, just follow her measurements.
How many balls of yarn would i need to make this?
250 gram = is about 3 Balls
Hello everyone! As I’m doing the increases for 14 rounds my final measurement horizontally measures roughly 43.5 cm. I understand that the type of yarn can affect this, but I believe the one I am using is a bit smaller than the one used in the video. Is anyone else getting this result? I’m confident it will not affect the end product drastically, but I just wanted to check in with others (:

Is Polyester not to warm?
It van be, but I think if you need a hoodie like this, you might be okay with it being warm 😊
/Vibeke
Polyester is not warm at all. It just makes you sweat :) bc its very poor quality artificial material
Did I understand correctly that you always double the first stitch at the beginning and at the end of the second part? If I have to crochet 14cm high, I won't get 33cm wide but more
I'm working on this right now too and I've come up with the same issue, have you figured it out yet?
@@jc0d67556 I am not a crochet pro at all so this might not be the best advice, but I am having the same issue.
Instead of using single crochets I am using half double crochets (so that the stitches are taller, and it allows it to reach 14cm faster) you could also try double crochets which are a little bit taller than half double crochets.
It was still getting a little bit too wide too fast so I am only doing the increase stitch at the end of each side, rather than doing the increase at the end, chaining, and doing another increase. So far it is working out much better
@@bigdelf thanks, I think that will help. I watched her other video on the brown one and at the hood after the first row she changes hook size. She also does a half double crochet so I think you figured it out!
@@jc0d67556 Yes, I add two stitches until I have about 27 cm in width, then just one more until I have 14 cm in height and 33 cm in width. Then crochet without increasing to a height of 30cm.
I tried it and it turned one for a kid… oh well
Is there a written pattern?
Yes there is 😊
divingduckscrochet.com/products/pattern-turtleneck-hoodie-balaclava-1
I wish you could’ve been more clear on the rounds going round the hood area I’m having a hard time
What size is this one??
I did a similar final size, but less rows bc of a thicker yarn and it is a right size for an adult (woman)
i need to make adult man how many chains do i need
@@nancystrand1920 • Remember that the chains are the length of the neck, approximately shoulder to chin. You could always measure on the person.
@@yvonnetomenga5726can you explain more what you mean by shoulder to neck measurement ? Like the midline of the neck to the end of the shoulder ? I am petite and I’m afraid of this being huge on me :(
@@Mingeeming10 • You describe a horizontal measurement but the chains are a vertical measurement from approximately the intersection of your shoulder and neck up to the bottom of your chin/jawline. I hope this helps.

I followed everything to the tee and this did not turn out like hers. I trusted the processed but all I did was waste my yarn and time, sorry but i don't understand why the edges of the hood have to be folded in just to make it look like the picture, if you don't fold it in it looks likes someone's first crocheting project. can you please show how to properly put it on cuz either that's the problem or the pattern to provided is messed up
Hi 😊 The edges are supposed to be folded out. Not in.
Try watching my other turtleneck video tutorial with the Brown one. In this video I show how to put it on.
Hope it helps.
52 cm long we can't see it all
Por favor cuando es ten explicando como se ase agalo del principio asta el final porque así no sentará nadie eso no son forma de enseña
I don't understand... I did it once with another yarn and it turned great. I bough the honey bunny and it turns difficult to crochet. The yarn is not soft not good quality I slows down my crochet speed. I am very disappointed. I am going to start a new one with another yarn. Take care.
The outside is IN right. ? Not inside out.
The wrong dude with all the work is in the inside ?
I thought she said this was a free pattern, but I don’t see that.
This is just too pretty
Thank you so much 😊
