So thankful for this tutorial! This is my first ever crochet project, didn’t practice anything but loops beforehand just jumped straight in. Had to redo the first few rounds about 5 times lol and it all took me 2 days but it’s come out looking perfect. So proud of myself!!! Thank you!
I find it so hard to follow tutorials but this was the most detailed and well explained crochet video I have seen so far thank you for taking the time ❤️
My husband started looking on line for one of these and I said I wanted to make one. I made it in a few hours and it fits perfectly! He absolutely loves it. I learned many new things watching this video. Thank you. You are a great instructor!
i taught myself crochet about 3 days ago and this was my first project. Even whilst being left handed this tutorial was so clear and easy to follow, thank you sm!
I wanted to crochet a balaclava and almost gave up because other tutorials were so confusing but this one was easy even as a beginner!! Also, for anyone wondering, I made this with a Loops & Threads 4.5 ounce weight 4 yarn and still had some left over! I thought I was going to need a lot more yarn but I didn’t.
Great tutorial! Note for others; I used a thicker yarn to crest a tighter knit, which worked, but it also made everything much taller! So I ended up needing to go back and take a few rows off the neck part. So you may want to try it on as you go and make sure everything is lining up where it needs to!
I’m far from a beginner but was unhappy with other similar patterns. This is by far the best looking. It’s nice that you give such good quality tutorials to beginners
absolutely love this tutorial!! very detailed!! I'd say I'm a beginner to intermediate and also left-handed, I was able to follow this tutorial with ease! the most difficult part was the ribbing. I accidentally did a couple 3 and even one 4 instead of the 2 front and back stitching, but you don't really notice it unless you're looking for it. gonna start the bunny ears!!
Ohhh im soo glad to know 💗💗💗 i sometimes mess up the ribbing like that too 🤣🤣🤣 but i think its cool adding some extra special handcrafted spirit to it✨🧶 💞
After making 4 of these I’ve come to the conclusion that I love this design but the neck part should be longer or shorter depending on the person wearing it. 11 rows is too short for me and my 13 y/o son and my 16 y/o sister but wayyyy too long for my 4 y/o daughter so I suggest measuring it as you’re making it for yourself by putting it on and by measuring the neck of whom ever you’re making it for if you desire it to sit the way it does on the person making this tutorial 😊
For someone with a basic level of English like me, this tutorial was easy to follow. I started crocheting with your cat hat video and this will be the third project I've done. You explain it in such a simple way and with such patience that it is somewhat ironic that the videos in my language are more difficult to understand.
i got all the way past the double crochet part and then messed up my whole piece and gave up but ended up redoing it and the finished product is amazing. adding horns and loose thread as hair and then i’ll be done thank you for the video!!!!
This is the best, easiest tutorial I have found yet, just started crocheting a few mths ago. I'll be finished with it tomorrow literally only took a few hrs. THANKS 😊
I don't know where you have been all this time about your channel, everything I was looking for is here and with the best way to explain. Thank you for your effort 🥹✨
I almost finished my first balaclava with this video! You are so kind to share this beautiful pattern with us and this tutorial is very easy to follow even if the stitches were difficult :')
I had a couple friends’ measurements not be on the chart (bigger than what’s listed) so I’ve figured out through trial and error that you can make the length of your whole chain 4 inches shorter than the head measurement instead of counting each one :-)
I'm a beginner and your tutorial was very easy to follow and understand. I like how you showed which stitch not to miss. As a beginner that is very helpful! Thank you
I’ve always avoided making balaclava because it seemed so hard. But this is the easiest project I’ve ever done! Thank you for the clear and simple instructions
Thank you so much. The tutorial was great. I was struggling to make a balaclava for the past 3 days and I just kept getting your frustrated and unmotivated but I followed your step by step guide and made a piece I love in some hours. Thank you a lot, you’re a Godsend .
I love your crochet channel you’re very precise step-by-step you tell us the name of the material yarn and hook size. is very telling us how many stitches your chart you made is wonderful. Very clear exactly the name of each stitch you use you shows from the beginning to the end of the road italicize exactly how many stitches we should have I think you’re a great teacher and I love your patterns. I’ve been crocheting a long time but I love to see Young people teaching and Keeping the art of Crochet going to the next level of designing and creating. Thank you so much.
I could never understand crocheting and would always quit out of frustration before, but you have made it so easy for me to understand! it looks so great, thank you!!
Thank you so much for the cute pattern!! I made one for my boyfriend for Christmas. It's not exactly the same as the one you made but once I understood how the pattern works I was able to customize it to his size. Happy with the result! Thanks!!

I'm going to try this, even though all I really know how to do is loom knit. I must say, you do an EXCELLENT job of explaining and demonstrating. Thank you!!
I just wanna say that you were SUPERB!! in this entire video!! very thorough! I love that so much! You made this video very beginner friendly by including charts, titles of which step you're on, your materials! I could go on lol! Thank you so much!! ❤️❤️❤️
I made it with fuzzy yarn (I feel dumb for not realize sooner that it would make my piece sm bigger than hers) 😭 so my big brain solution is that this ski mask will actually be a ski mask since it’ll fit over my helmet and the goggles will fit through the hole eye 🤭 it’s so soft! I’ll be so warm. Amazing tutorial! Anyone can make this.
This is my first time trying crochet and your tutorial is lovely! So easy to follow and I'm finished in 3 days!! I am starting over again because I couldn't measure my head and had to wing it and unfortunately it was too small 💀. It was easy to undo it. My first try was a little wonky at the start so now I can make a better one haha. I really enjoyed this :) Update: I finished my second attempt and medium fits perfect! It looks great I truly love it :D Next are the ears!!!!!
Thank you for this easy tutorial! My daughter wanted one with bunny ears for Christmas, so all I need is a pattern for the ears, but this got me started, thanks again!

@ I’ve made three so far and they’re all so wonderful!!! I love your tutorials you should keep them up! Would you be able to make a tutorial on making the horns for the balaclava sometime! That would be great! 🥰 ❤️ I love you videos, keep up the great work 🧶
YOU EXPLAINED SO WELL!! Really!! This was my first projet with crochet ever and I got it done. Even having english as mu second language. I had to change a few steps tho so it could actually fit me. Thank you so much!
Natalie, you are an excellent caring crochet instructor. I am glad to have discover your channel!!! I am not a subscriber and fan of yours!!! I made your balaclava without any problem due to your great instructions... I am looking for ways to decorate the balaclava now. Thank you!!!
hi there, im not a beginner but WOW you explained so many things so well that would've saved me so much time and effort if I'd found you sooner! the difference between back loops and front loops, how to actually see which stitch to work on- very very happy i found this!! gonna try out the bunny balaclava, fingerless gloves and cat beanie, and will definitely be directing people to ur channel if they ask for tutorials in future. cheers!
i really love this pattern but im curious why you gotta turn your work after each round, like does it have a purpose? i would like to know this so i can make my own patterns better:)
Hi 💞 Turning is for the sake of straightening the chain line, which is visible on finished piece (the line created by the chain 2 that you make after slip-stitching to join each round). If you don't turn your work, the shape of your piece would still be fine, but the chain line will be tilted, which is not a big deal if you don't mind. As long as you still keep the same number of stitches on each row/round, your project will stay in shape! Nevertheless, "turning" is one of the basics in crochet. So I'd recommend that it's good practice to turn when the pattern tells you to ;)
Okay I finished my first one and now that I'm done I want to thank you for a really wonderful clear tutorial! The turtleneck took my longer because I wasn't doing it right lol I'm excited to make another one for my man.
Omggg I love uuuuu smmm!!!! For this ur video was sooo helpful I’ve made a balaclava for my sister and it soooooo prettyyy gonna make bunny ears nowiiiii
Hi there🧶so, we joined the chain with a slip-stitch in to the first chain, although we took 1 chain but the slip-stitch returned 1 V shape (that we would treat just as a chain by the end of row 1) hence we still gonna get same number of sts asthe number of chains✨ Have fun and feel free to ask me anytime 💞
im using this pattern right now but the only thing i noticed is that the table that she showed at 3:00 doesnt work for me. i had to measure how many chains i needed on my own. i also added a few more chains because i noticed that the base becomes smaller than how big it was at the start! its a great pattern, ABSOLUTE RECOMMEND!!
Awesome tutorial! I haven’t crocheted in decades, but last night I tried my hand at this and today I have a cute medium Ski mask! So happy with it. Next up are the bunny ears ski mask. 🐰🐰thanks again! 🧶❤️
You have the best tutorials!!! So thorough and clear for us to understand!!! My project came out great! However, once I was done, I noticed the ribbing for the turtleneck area is not long enough for me. Is there a way I can add a few more rows to the bottom after the project is done? Thank you in advance!!!!
Hi💞 thank you so much!!! And yes you can definitely make the neck longer by working into the bottom line which is the foundation chain, just use the same ribbing stitches! I do that all the time 😉
@ABoCStudio so good to hear! since I'm working off the foundation chain, would I have to do a row of DC first? I can't start off doing the front post and back post, right? If you already have a video showing you doing this, may I have the link? I can just watch that & and I wouldn't have to bother you anymore lol
You can definitely still do the bp/fpDc based on the stitches of the first row. Attach the yarn right where the slip-knot is, chain 2, then you'll see the bp/fp stitches and follow them n do the exact same thing you did for the ribbing. Unfortunately, I don't have a video for this, but I here to help💞No biggie💕
this was an amazing tutorial, as well at the bunny ears one! i’m really grateful i stumbled across your channel. you’re so thorough and so kind with your words, it really is welcoming and your work is also amazing. thanks for sharing!!!!
This is such a great tutorial for beginners and it’s great that you go step by step. For people with bigger heads or fuller hair you might want to size up a bit and eyeball some things but this is great all the same!
Hello! I am using a thiner yarn for this project, so i was wondering: how do you know how many chains you would need to start? Does the starting chain need to be the length of the head size? :) Thank you for this tutorial, can't wait to start it 🥰
This is my first ever crochet project and it turned out so good!! Your instructions are perfect and I still messed up sometimes hahaha.. but it's a great result in the end and I'm really proud of it. Thank you so much for posting this tutorial, I'm looking forward to following others on your channel
Such an amazing and detailed tutorial for a beginner like me, thank you so much for putting it together. I did it twice because the first time was wayyyy too big, but I made sure to constantly check the sizing the second time, and it's absolutely perfect! Thank you so much for such a clear tutorial ❤❤

Amazing 💕💕I'm so glad you like it✨
You have the best tutorials!!!
Beautiful!!! Now on yo the bunny ears 😊
Yaayy💞💞🧶
this was an amazing tutorial, as well at the bunny ears one! i’m really grateful i stumbled across your channel. you’re so thorough and so kind with your words, it really is welcoming and your work is also amazing. thanks for sharing!!!!
I'm so glad to know 😘😘😘
This is such a great tutorial for beginners and it’s great that you go step by step. For people with bigger heads or fuller hair you might want to size up a bit and eyeball some things but this is great all the same!
Thank youu sm lovely💞
Hello!
I am using a thiner yarn for this project, so i was wondering: how do you know how many chains you would need to start? Does the starting chain need to be the length of the head size? :)
Thank you for this tutorial, can't wait to start it 🥰
This is my first ever crochet project and it turned out so good!! Your instructions are perfect and I still messed up sometimes hahaha.. but it's a great result in the end and I'm really proud of it.
