    Pass along a tip once you have cooked your sweet potatoes in the instant pot you can peel them and let them cool and then make a sweet potato pie. this is one quick way to get your potatoes cooked

    • @maplejubilee
      @maplejubilee  3 года назад +2

      Yes...I was thinking about doing that this year lol! Super easy. Do you do anything to get the stringy pieces off once its cooked so your pie will be smooth?

    • @kdharris6909
      @kdharris6909 3 года назад +3

      @@maplejubilee the majority of the stringiness of mashed sweet potatoes comes from the fibrous parts of the potato that are near the skin. if you cook your sweet potatoes during the process of removing the skin you can make sure you remove a thick layer of the skin so that you pull off the stringy parts so once you cream up your potatoes for your pie there is not stringy parts. No matter of you peel the potatoes before cooking them you want get all the stringy parts of because you cant see them. I hope this will help you.

    I wanted a side dish of sweet potatoes but it was quite late. Went to RUclips, found recipes, and washed, cut in half the potatoes, 1 c water and put them on my veggie setting (used alternative pressure cooker) and brought up cooking time to 10 mins. I let them natural pressure relief. I didn't peel these in the beginning the skins came completely off w/o waste. They were so sweet. I put some butter and honey/ginger/lemon
