I got one of those as a gift. I tried it once but it intimidates me oddly enough. I think I’ll give this a try as I have a bunch of sweet potatoes and yams in my kitchen that I have been preparing in my toaster oven.

It can seem like it’s too many options and buttons, yes. Start simple and go from there. Thx!

Ok tried it. Put two in the Insta Pot and two in my toaster oven. Set the IP to 15 mins and put the toaster oven at 400. Ready go the IP took 11 minutes to build up the pressure before the 15 mins started. Then, did a natural release a few more minutes. 30 mins in the Toaster oven. Done. Hmmm Maybe I should call it the Not-so-insta pot. ☺️

Hi Eric! Love the Labs! Also, if you know before you start cooking that you don't want the "Keep Warm" function, you can press the program button twice instead of once when you start the programming. This disables the keep warm function. When you hit "Manual" twice, with the second press, the keep warm light goes out and you don't have to listen for the tone and come back.

GardenFork they were good. I made a little mistake. I thought since I put 6 sweet potatoes in I should cook them for 20 but I got busy and let then sit and naturally release. I should have done the 15 min and released the steam or do low pressure as I do we almost everything. But they were very edible still. Thanks for the video!

that's the thing with the instant pot, everyone quotes the 'cooking' time, but it takes some time for the unit to heat up to pressure and then to cool down. what I do love about it is I can walk away from it, and I don't burn the food because of the built in timer. thx!

Showing DOGS was unpleasant. Instead of showing dogs, should have been more expressive of pressure cooker mechanism , causing shorter cooking time.
