quick question, does the streaming software have to be open for this to work? In other words, lets say I just rebooted my computer and want to start streaming and I hit the smart pad that maps to the start streaming function? will this automatically launch StreamLabs or OBS and start the stream?
I don't have any preloaded sounds. How do I access them? Also, my Smart Pad sounds are only playing on channel 3. How do I get sounds to play on all 4 channels? Please help!
Reset to factory default should get the default Smartpads back. To play Smartpads sounds out of all outputs go into routing and select each outpu and the.within each, make sure the Smartpad is selected.
Hey Ashy, First off, amazing video, very informative and easy to follow, but i am currently struggling with one thing right now, that problem is where i use the physical sliders to control the audio through my headset, although it works on my end, but on streamlabs obs, it doesn't move at all, the audio levels stay the same. But the audio levels work well with my microphone, i can adjust the audio levels and everything works well with it. I am not sure if you have run into this problem at all or if you might know a fix to this issue at all. Any and all help is appreciated
Hi there, Ashy! I'm working with the Rodecaster for the first time, looking to integrate it with my Streamslabs and I'm encountering a weird hiccup. During setup, everything looks good. When I'm done and I use the Rodecaster's Smart Pads to go from one scene to the next, the scene transitions are skipped. I can see the scene transitions fine when I use Stream Deck, the SL interface, and when I use the hotkeys. Only when I use the Rodecaster's Smart Pads will the scene transitions not work. Any idea why this is happening?
The only way I can reproduce this is if I very quickly hit the Smartpads, switching between scenes. As long as I give the transition time between Smartpad presses it works fine.
@@txwolverines Ok I don’t have experience with XBox but I have tried many different things with the PS5. Unfortunately, Rode only officially supports PC, Mac, and IPhone/IPad, Android devices on its USB and Bluetooth connections. I have tried several Bluetooth adapters and none of them have worked. I have tried to plug USB 2 directly into PS5 and it also experiences audio issues that make it unusable. It is POSSIBLE that Xbox will work with USB2 but I don’t have one to test with. Alternatively, even if we did something like split the HDMI and extract audio from it to feed into the Rodecaster, it’s expensive and you still need a separate headset/mic for Xbox game chat. Unfortunately, there just doesn’t seem to be a good answer for consoles right now but that’s just a firmware upgrade away from being possible. But I don’t get the feeling Rode is that interested in console compatibility.
Thank you for this, was struggling abit with assigning key2key.. Massive W.. xD keep up the videos helped me alot with the RCD setup

No, but you could maybe use it to trigger a AutoHotKey script or PowerAutomate script to start OBS and start the stream…something like that, maybe?
@@ashy941 ahh that makes sense.. I could certainly do that! thanks man!

Are you sure you’re outputting the faders to the main mix (USB1) and with Streamlabs you have selected RCP2 Main Stereo as the Audio INPUT Capture?
@@ashy941 I’ll be sure to try this out when I get back home later today for it!
Thank you so much for your help today

@@ashy941 so LONG press instead of SHORT press. (Oh dear, I'm having a Threads flashback! 🤣) I'll give that a shot. Thank you!
@@TeeMorris More like a “press and wait a couple seconds”. How long you hold it shouldn’t matter if that’s what you’re saying 👍
@@ashy941 And BOOM, that did it.
Thank you so much!
how would you hook a Xbox x up to it ?
What exact model Xbox?
