Thanks for making this dude! I have had off and on issues for months and this is the only video that provides accurate direction with clarity. It should totally be everyone’s go-to using one PC with the rodecaster pro 2. Also, I’m follower #666 :)
Thank for very much for this tutorial my cable that you recommend is arriving in a few days so I’ll go back through and triple maybe quadruple check the setup. Your video is very clear, easy to follow and very informative ❤.
love this video would be great if you did the same thing for the duo as well because your audio output from pc to rodcaster wont work with my setup because i use the 1s of 2 xlr for my mics any suggestions
At 09:10 it’s amazing how good the default audio processing for the SM7B makes that mic sound ❤ Also, you don't absolutely have to have the ground loop isolator but I recommend it to reduce/eliminate PC noise.
For those that don't have a line-out port, look for a green 3.5mm port. My motherboard shows it as a non-out port, but green is universally a line-out port. In the sound settings, it will show up as "Speakers (Realtek High Definition Audio)". The only issue I have yet to figure out is why my audio comes through my microphone output in OBS. It comes out of the audio input that I set up, but also the microphone, even though the routing from the video (in both OBS and Rode app) is exactly the same. It must be something little on my end because it obviously worked in the video. Thanks again for the effort, Ashy.
@@ashy941 After doing more investigating, I found that it was the RCP2 "Secondary" output that was giving me the issue. The second USB-C output (USB-C to USB-C, from RCP2 to PC). So the RCP2 or my PC is not recognizing the "RoadCaster Pro II Chat" & "RoadCaster Pro II Secondary" as two separate outputs. I am still trying to fix it, but at least I know what the culprit is.
@@PolosLetsPlaysSo sorry for the late reply. I did but I forget how, as it was many months ago. I had to update my audio drivers and couldn’t do it the normal way. So I had to uninstall and re-install GeForce experience. This updated my S/PDIF driver (system audio driver). I reset my audio settings in OBS and it works. I am not at my computer right now, but if I remember I can give you more information about the physical setup I have. That is, if you didn’t figure it out yet and still own the RCPII.
Not sure how this hasn’t blown up but THANK GOODNESS I found you! I only have one question.. I work with the Rodecaster Duo.. obviously I’m limited to 4 faders but I also don’t use a work computer or discord so I was wondering if I could basically use the fader you used for discord as the one I could use for my call of duty game chat?
Nice video! I have mine done a little different , i have a slider controlling game audio, one for my music , and one for my discord chat i have the duo. I like to include my music in my submix for discord chat sometimes so it works perfect!
Hi there thank you for this tutorial it was very helpful. Do you know if there is an option to get the "rodecaster secondary" channel out of twitch VOD?
Check out the Twitch VoD section of this video and apply to your Single PC configuration accordingly. ruclips.net/video/rn1g6wxG1WM/видео.htmlsi=PyfxymFREPLv8_RQ
Hey, thanks so much for this, I did run into a bit of a snag though. for some reason my microphone clearly has the other audio coming though my microphone and I absolutely can't find out why. I followed everything on here x.x any ideas?
Hi, Soon, I will have a dual PC setup with RCP2 for streaming but for now I would like to use it on a single PC only for gaming and discord in order to know the system well. Your video is made for streaming, I don't know what to do in my case. Could you tell me what to do in my situation? Do I need additional cables? What are the steps to take? Great job for the different RCP2 videos!
@@Dabi_OFF Well you can just set it up like in the video and record instead of stream. Then you can watch/listen to your recordings and make sure all the levels are good and your voice sounds good. You can experiment with Bluetooth, maybe you want to connect your phone or tablet. You can play with the various Smart Pads or put your own audio sound effects onto smart pads. If you want to get comfortable with the device, just play around with it. Something I’d recommend is getting a Smart card for it so once you have a good working setup you can export it to the smart card. Then you can play with more settings and if you screw or up you can just reload the good settings. What else are you looking for?
@@Dabi_OFF No, the other cable is just so we can have a separate audio source on a fader. You don’t need to do it that way. Checkout my video on dual PC setup that is very simple. I also have another dual pc setup video I’m working on right now which is more complicated but gives you more control.
Hi Ashy. I followed the steps that you laid down in your video and when I fire up Overwatch 2 all my teammates can hear everything-my sounds etc instead of only my chat. My video output in pc settings is “roadcaster main”, my game output is the same, mic is set to default in game setting, mic in pc is set for roadcater main. I’m using SM7B and Roadcaster pro 2. Any thoughts? Thank you.
Hello ! thank you for this great video ! I don't use the alerts so I put in output main stereo is it ok? And I have 2 questions, in the volume mixer on discord for example by default. Do I have to change it or can I leave it at default? And in the parameters advance in playback it's the secondary rodecaster headset that's on communication by default. Is this normal? I can't see the rodecaster chat.
Could i just have my game audio go to the main system audio? instead of separating it so i can use the "game" slider for something else? Also, would it be possible to set certain sliders to where im the only one who can hear them, and OBS couldnt?
Would it be possible to keep the Game audio as Main Stereo, Discord as Chat, Music and system alerts etc as secondary in order to have it work with the RodeCaster Duo without needing the other inputs?
What confuses me the most is the Line In/Out of my computer. The Line Out (green) from the mother board goes to my speakers. Then my Line In (Light Blue) in the mother board is what goes to my RC. If I connect the Line Out to the RC... then I'll have no audio to my speakers...?... Or I'm stupid? xDDD
Awesome video! Would you happen to have any idea why Spotify would be robotic and staticy? I run the rodecaster duo with a single pc setup. This is a bit devastating to hear. I have a Gaming PC and a Sreaming MacBook Pro M1 and an Elgato HD60S+ and I am finding it beyond challenging to get the MacBook Pro to not have issues with OBS. Since the DUO only has two inputs.. could you just use a single stereo 1/8 to single stereo 1/4 cable and get the same results?
Possibly, give it a try. If you don’t get a good result, you could try a 1/8 stereo to 1/4 mono cable and I think that should work.
