  • Got behind the camera on this one to have my wife walk us around her 2020 Jeep Gladiator Mojave Edition. She goes through the “off the lot” options, as well as the upgrades that have been done to this point and what’s on deck going forward. We did the entire build in our garage and she helped with everything along the way.

    This is by far the BEST Mojave build I have seen to date! I picked up my own Gladiator Mojave a few months ago and I plan on lifting it very soon. I really like the setup you guys did and I want to model my own lift after your lift/suspension setup!
    So far I made my own list of parts I need and pieced everything together, however I still have a couple questions about your build.
    First, I see you went with the EVO shock extension brackets (part: EVO-3004B), which are 2.5 inch extensions. Considering your lift utilizes 3 inch front and rear coil springs, does that extra half inch matter or will it be fine?
    Then, did you add bump stop spacers, or a rear track bar relocation bracket? I noticed both the Fabtech and ReadyLift Mojave lift kits include these parts, I just don't know if they are necessary with the setup you guys did.

    • @ELEVENSDIRTLIFE
      @ELEVENSDIRTLIFE  3 года назад +2

      Hey Thanks!
      We wanted to keep the shock travel within its designed travel distance and that's why we added the shock extension brackets in the front. The rear we upgraded to a longer travel Fox 2.5 shock with DCS adjusters. Will be doing the same in the front as well but need to have the lower bolt hole reamed out on the shock to accommodate the larger diameter bolt on the Mojave Editions. I'd recommend adding the extension brackets as the cost is low and that way you don't risk damaging the shock. (with the EVO extension you'd need to ream out the bolt hole on the bracket, just FYI).
      Yes we added EVO 3" lower bump stops front and rear as well as an EVO raised rear track bar bracket. Yes both are necessary that that lift height. We also added longer front and rear sway bar links and have extended brakes lines to add as well. In addition to those items you will also want to add a Driveshaft Carrier Bearing Drop Kit ( we used Rock Jock) to get that rear driveline at the proper angle.
      Message me through insta @elevens_jlu if you have any additional questions and or if you'd like me to help you out a build plan together and secure parts.
      Also check us out for any future parts you may need at discipleoffroad.com/

      @@ELEVENSDIRTLIFE Hey, thank you for the reply! I definitely plan on adding the shock extension brackets and I did see that on the website it is stated to ream out the hole from a M12 to M14 for the Mojave.
      I will also be adding all those parts you mentioned to my list. Originally I was going to go with a FabTech or ReadyLift lift kit, but after seeing the way you have yours setup, I'm definitely going to go the same route! I'm at least two months out from doing my lift, but I'll definitely shoot you a message!

    • @ELEVENSDIRTLIFE
      @ELEVENSDIRTLIFE  2 года назад +1

      I'm actually not familiar with Readylift from a Jeep standpoint as they haven't been a player in the Jeep market before (if they have its been very minor). So I cant speak on the quality of their components and spring rate and ride quality.
      I can say that every part we put on my wife's Mojave has been from a proven aftermarket Jeep products mfg. She has put just over 50k miles on her Jeep in the last year and a half with zero issues. It drives amazing, we just got back from a trip to Moab UT and back and it drove super smooth on the highway and the trails (even in 40+mph winds on the way back). The Rock Krawler coils are some of the best riding coils I've come across, paired with the strength and durability of the EVO components and Fox Shocks. I've run multiple setups over the three Wrangler's I've owned and what we set her Gladiator up with is one of the best in terms of overall ride quality.

    Really like the build. just purchased a 23 a couple weeks ago and allready wanting a lift, wheels and tires. I'm new to the community allltough I did have a 49 Willys pickup years ago that was heavily modded. I'm looking at the EVO Element kit 2.5 kit with the plushride springs. I'm being told it will lift my rig to approx 3" even though it's rated 2.5. It has the geometry correction brackets...in your opinion is this a good way to go or should I just buy the springs and new lower control arms. I'm an older guy and don't want this truck to ride like a tank or my spouse won't ride in it. I cant afford to do the shocks at this time. Thinking of going with the AEV shock extensions or the Teraflex and having the fronts bored to size for the Mojave front shock bolt.

      @ELEVENSDIRTLIFE  Год назад

      Thank you. Awesome and congrats on the new Jeep! I really like the plush ride springs, I ran a set of those on my JL for a while and they provided a great ride. As for the dropdown correction brackets, those are a great way to go to retain that factory ride geometry and ride quality without having to replace control arms. I installed a set of those on a JL that did a 2.5" EVO lift and that Jeep drives and rides very nice. Its a great way to go if you don't plan on doing a bunch of rock crawling. We did the shock extensions as well on the front of our Mojave and still have them on there. Its nice to utilize that tuned Fox Shock that comes with the Mojave's.
