I'd rather have a simple port injected V6 than a direct injected turbo. What they should put in is a naturally aspirated port injected inline 6 to make it really reliable. Overlanders prefer reliability over power.
No one's asking for these engine options, what a joke. Give people an affordable v8. The ask has been unchanged for 30 years. The brand with the worst reliability wants to do a twin turbo and hybrid. Good luck with that.
I bought a '23 at a deep discount and I love it. Plus no antenna in the windshield. The Pentistar is a proven reliable engine. I didn't buy it to tow, I've got enough room to carry everything I need.
I have a 2023 Gladiator Rubicon with the diesel engine you’ve apparently forgot about. 442 lb ft of torque, almost as much as the hemi. The frame was beefed up for this heavier engine, and I’m getting 23-29 MPG. No fellow Jeep owners I know are interested in an electric or hybrid. Put a 392 in it, watch sales skyrocket. Nothing on the 2025 model has my attention…
I just grabbed a leftover 23 diesel. I didn't even consider a 24, I don't care about any interior updates. Electric vehicle's are just another population control mechanism. It's like driving around with a microwave on your lap.
Yeah I'm keeping my eco diesel Gen 3 till death. I'll probably be doing a whole motor cleaning and banks tune once it's out guarantee Delete egr if possible.. These motors are great just need better air flow.
@@dvader3263 most people also have never driven one. Almost the same torque as the Hemi, or Ford’s new 7.3L V8 Godzilla motor, which is what I have in our motorhome. The higher price for the diesel on an already expensive truck likely is the biggest factor, IMHO.
$20,000 in 1985 is about $60,000 today. @@timbeatty11 My Wrangler has proven itself to be very reliable. Other then a factory recall for the airbags and a cruise control fix (this involved reprogramming the ECU) the only issues I had was due to operator error on rough terrain.

It would be nice if you showed an actual Ranger Raptor and not an F150 Raptor. And why keep showing the diesel engine if it’s not available, or even talking about it? Why would they introduce a 3.3L Hurricane when it’s 3.0L everywhere else?
No thanks.. I just got a 2024 and glad I did. Nobody wants a hybrid and buying a “new” engine is a bad idea. I LOVE my 2024 and have zero regrets. The pentistar is just fine and has a great track record
No a tiny minority wants that engine, you gotta look at it from a money standpoint, add a big expensive engine that won’t sell to the majority to give a minority what they want, or look at what is selling on the wrangler and update based on that data.
I rented a 2024 hybrid jeep this pass weekend. Cant say l like the electric bit definitely like the Jeep. Well these Gladiator come with a manual transmission ?
Price and fuel economy make the Gladiator unbuyable. That's why 2023 sales dropped to just 25,000 units down from 80,000. When the new Ranger and Tacoma start at $6-7K cheaper and the Gladiator starts at the same price as a decently equipped F150 or Silverado (which both get better MPGs), it's not hard to see where Jeep needs to improve.
My 21 mojave already had the top.end replaced at 30000 kms fully serviced and maintained at the dealership . The 3.6 has had an issue of some kind in the last 3 jeeps I have owned from the top end to headgasket to oil pressure issues..not sure what's worse that they all fail or that I keep buying them 😂
Ok so what happened to stellantis is going broke & cancelling the Wrangler & Gladiator? Give it a 6 foot box and i could be tempted to trade my 2022 in. Otherwise, nope 🙅. Increase the load carrying capacity, along with the towing capacity too!
All the engine talk has to be speculation and currently false. The only available engine choice currently in the 2025 Gladiator order bank thru (DealerConnect) is the 3.6L V6 gas engine... Also, Stellantis doesn't even offer a 3.3L in line 6 twin turbo, I am sure you meant to say the 3.0L, but that is not even a current option when ordering the 2025 Gladiators...
Not everyone needs a Rubicon or Mojave… A Willys is just fine for me. I love seeing Rubicon’s with not so much as a branch scratch… It’s all about the look and not buying what is actually is needed, I guess for some.
Give me the hurricane and I will buy a 3rd JT. But I’m not paying more than a ranger raptor. I’m a die hard Jeep guy but I will try a bronco or ranger raptor.
Exactly what I was thinking, they keep showing the engine cover for the 3.0L diesel... I am glad I have the diesel version.... Why they remove the 3.0L diesel when it gets the same torque but better fuel economy... I would love to see them put in a V-8 diesel but that would probably twist the frame into a pretzel.
