Thanks for the video, I have been driving a 2000 Wrangler since 2001 and hope to upgrade to a Gladiator Mojave this year, if I do this is the lift I want for it.
I have a 2020 Mojave. And have been wanting to lift it for years. I just now stumbled across this video. Is this still the best way to lift it while maintaining the stock shocks? Or does teraflex have an entire kit you can order now?
Why did you use 2.5" shock extensions from Evo and not the 2" from Teraflex for the rear? Please excuse my ignorance. I don't know sheet about suspensions and am only leaning little by little by watching all your videos.....and asking dumb questions. ;P
No problem. You'd be best to give the Ginger a call to discuss your questions 604-888-2961. In regards to the rear shock extensions, at the time of this video (it's quite old), there was no Teraflex extensions on the market. cheers!
Hopefully you can help me with this i have a rubicon and a complete Mojave suspension take off, i ordered everything you did here just in debate on using Rubi springs or Mojave springs. From what i gathered the Mojave springs do not provide the full inch of lift, some of the Mojave lift comes from the hydro bump frame. I am not necessarily bombing desert, Mostly jacked up rocky forest service roads. I have been running the shocks for about 2 months and it rides pretty good with Rubi springs. But have no butt time on Mojave springs. Opinion please befor i tare everything aprt to put lift.
Why did y’all use the adjustable control arm, sway bar disconnect, and sport arm? Those aren’t necessary for the lift right? You can’t use what’s in the Mojave already for those parts?
John Thibodeaux the adjustable track bar allows you to center the axle side to side. As you lift the suspension the axle will move to one side. The control arms are made for a lifted Jeep and keep the alignment in spec by rotating the axle slightly. The quick disconnects are there to help you flex off road but aren’t technically needed.
Yes that's exactly what we recommend now to save hunting a bunch of part numbers. And then we add the front track bar, lower control arms, rear track bar bracket and if wanted a set of sway bar disconnects.
@Epic Adventure Outfitters I see this video is almost a year old. When viewing the Teraflex website and putting in info for a 2022 Mojave, it gives several options for lift kits... being a newbie, it's a little confusing and I could use some guidance. Have these kits been made available since your lift and were not available to you ? Are they "complete" kits or is your product list and pieced together kit still the way to go ? I also notice some options included springs and other options, I didn't see you guys change any of that, so I'm guessing its not needed. Is there a complete kit you would recommend ? Thanks...subscribed !
Just came across this video and your comment, the Teraflex website is confusing. I don’t think they provide this as a full lift kit, just individual parts. Did you ever contact the bearded ginger?
What are those wheels? I have a Mojave and bought a set of Fuel Convert 17x9 with a -12 offset, but they stick out way too much, I’ve seen the same wheels on gladiators and they definitely don’t stick out that much. What am I doing wrong? Please help
WHY ARE YOU YELLING AT US?!?!? The part numbers for the lift are in the video description. The wheels are Fuel Rebel 5 17x9 +1 and the tires are Baja Boss 35x12.50R17. Cheers!
Trying to assemble this. Having trouble finding the rear 0.5 spacers with that part number? Is that a teraflex part? Or can I use any 0.5 spacer to go with the 1.5 from the teraflex kit? So glad I found your channel. Thanks for all the work that you put into this.
First time Jeep owner. I considered Spacers after my initial Mojave purchase. I was all for it until I read here and there something about the spacers could compromise the integrity of the suspension and/or handling. Any solid evidence of this?
Yeah, no idea what that means. If you put in spacers AND shock extensions to match those spacers, it retains pretty much the exact same handling as stock. We're doing this exactly lift in our own Mojave that we just picked up.
Think about it this way. Some people at a $100+ million lab somewhere came up with the perfect formula that balances performance, safety, economy and enjoyability. Then some randos online were like "HiGhEr = bEtTeR" and decided to throw a bunch of aftermarket stuff in, on, under and over their jeep.
@@StevenZagaris Not quite that simple. Remember, Jeep is a business. Businesses are in business to make a profit. There is only so much any company is willing to offer at X price to maintain profit. The aftermarket exists to offer increased performance over stock. I’m guessing that you have never been to SEMA?!
I would be a buyer if you pieced the kit together. I'm new to this jeep life and I'm searching for everything you listed but it seems there's more parts than what's on the table in your video. @@EPIC-4WD The Mojave comes with the same High Clearance Fenders as the Rubicon. It has plenty of room to spare for 35s. I'm currently running Mickey Thompson MTZ P3's on mine. I could easily run 37s. With this lift I may go as high as 38s.
A Mojave sits an inch higher than a Rubicon in the front from the factory and has the same fenders. If you are really lifting it two more inches, there shouldn’t be a problem with 37s front or back.
On my Mojave I have 17" x 9.5 Black Rhino wheels with 4.5 backspace with 37x 12.5x17 Nitto Trailgrapplers .Bought the AEV 2" spacerlift for Mojave only kit. But doesn't need it.
