    Little late to the party. Looking at picking up a Mojave but a front locker is a must have for me running trails like Rubicon and Fordyce. Ginger mentioned about a locker could be added but I can't seem to find a electric locker anywhere that's available.

    • @EPIC-4WD
      @EPIC-4WD  3 года назад +2

      It's all about geometry. Just using an adjustable trackbar - you'll still have a trackbar that is not parallel to the ground, therefore any up/down movement of the axle will transfer motion to the frame. Using a bracket like this ensures the rear trackbar is parallel to the ground thus the axle movement isn't transferred into the frame as much. Hope that makes sense ;-)

    Why were the EVO 2.5" rear shock extensions needed instead of the 2" extensions included in the teraflex extension kit? I'm thinking about using this as an inspiration for my own build.. I was wondering, I'm going to swap out my plastic mojave stock bumper for a steel bumper and add a winch. With the extra weight on the front end would it be worth adding an additional 0.5-1" of spacer to the front to avoid reintroducing the rake that the Mojave suspension already has dialed out?

    • @EPIC-4WD
      @EPIC-4WD  3 года назад +1

      Ah, dealerships! True, the bigger the tire, the more stress on the vehicle, however we've been running 37s for quite some time on this platform without issues. We build them with 37s every day of the week and have zero complaints the past 4 years. As for the Mojave, no it is not lifted 2"... the front end is lifted 1" over a non-Mojave such that it has no rake whatsoever. How much did this set up cost?

    How are you still liking this lift and components you went with? Do you recommend this lift for a soon to be Mojave owner or has other manufacturers came out with something better? I also want to run 37” tires. I was thinking 13.5 wide instead of 12.5. Any recommendations you have is appreciated!!!

    Rear track bar bracket no part number? Also why not front also or is both the same. Rear bracket not on teraflex site.

    • @TheEPICBeardedGinger
      @TheEPICBeardedGinger 3 года назад

      2" of lift isn't really enough to warrant the front bracket and we deal with the axle position with the adjustable front track bar anyways, the part number should be on the Teraflex website.

    • @TheEPICBeardedGinger
      @TheEPICBeardedGinger 3 года назад +1

      If possible I would just make life simple and go with the factory locker, but and ARB air locker is likely the best choice.

      We have added a few parts that didn't exist at the time of the other Jeep, such as the rear trackbar bracket, the apex sway bar disconnects, etc.

    • @TheEPICBeardedGinger
      @TheEPICBeardedGinger 3 года назад +1

      The Grey Mojave has better articulation off road due to the swaybar disconnects and better centre of gravity and on road handling due to the addition of the rear trackbar bracket. All parts that could be added to the Black one.

      I love the Ginger's reply, but on a serious note, I am willing to bet that anything larger than a 37 will be too much for the 3.6L V-6. I went from stock to 315/70R17's and noticed a 2-3MPG loss on mileage.
