    • @Soffity
      @Soffity 3 года назад +1

      @@DebiDearest you did such a good job with the video. Ok a couple of dc you called front post dc but it was obvious what you meant. I take my hat off to anyone who can design, I’ve been trying for years and never end up with a flat fabric. I can do very basic design but as soon as I try something like you do the stitch count goes haywire and it is a mess. I live in rural Australia so the internet is a godsend.

    • @DebiDearest
      @DebiDearest  3 года назад +1

      @@Soffity I think that’s been the most challenging part. This one does pucker a little in the middle but can be blocked to lay flat. My new design I’ve gotten better at being consistent. I think the main thing is stick to a repeat number. I usually do 8, I’m trying 12 this time. Add one stitch to each repeat as you make it grow. Hope that helps maybe. ❣️

    • @Soffity
      @Soffity 3 года назад +1

      @@DebiDearest thank you so very much, you’re the first designer to reply and give me any help so I really appreciate it. I am so grateful to you for your time and your lovely designs. How do you add a stitch count when you have so many bobbles and popcorns etc etc. How do you know which equals what. I’m not expecting you to answer but how did you work all that out, to me it’s the worst maths test of all time with the most beautiful result. We all have our fortes and design is one of yours, ♥️🇦🇺

    • @Soffity
      @Soffity 3 года назад +1

      Btw I’ve purchased the pattern so looking forward to making it, I don’t have any Aran weight as it’s not a common yarn here in Australia so I’ll be making it in DK with a 4mm hook, so wish me luck, won’t be as large of course.

    Gorgeous! I love the standing stitches, and i don’t understand why we chain instead of standing stitches? I’m new to this, and never really understood why I can’t use the stitch for the pattern

      You can use what works best for you. I think it all depends on the pattern what technique is used.

    This looks like a fun project to try, but before I start, how much harder would it be for me to use thinner yarn? I haven't watched thought all the vids yet, but if anyone who's made this has an answer, it would be appreciated

    Gorgeous heirloom to make for my niece. Thanks for posting the video! Could you make it with bulky yarn?

      It would make the piece really big you’d probably want to finish off sooner. Also not sure how it would do with the centre piece being as tight as it is.

    I don't even know why, but I love how you call them a "Pop" and a "Puff" instead of a "Bobble." ^_^

      Akiko Fujishima I’m self taught so I am sure i make things up 😋 I always include special stitches info on my patterns for this reason.

    This looks so stunning. I would love to make this for myself as I am always making projects as gifts but never to complicated one’s just for me. Could I ask roughly how long this should take a person with medium experience? You are so talented. 💜🙌🏼

    72 thumbs down - What in the world such ignorants are doing here??? The design is gorgeous and designed for crocheters with the taste and understanding of the beauty of such work.

      Ada Musolf probably had a hard time, got mad, and hated. I’m sure I did something wrong even though I try my best. You can please everyone, at least RUclips sees up and down vote as engagement so in a sense down vote is still in my favour.

      Ada Musolf I think part of the problem is people want me to hold their hand every step of the way but I only show what’s needed to know for the round. There’s already people out there who teach the basics
