    Very good tutorial! Excellent 😊. Sometimes people who create their tutorials talk too much (over explain) or their music drowns out their voice. Good job 👏🏻

    This is beautiful. I’m wondering how the ends burned together will hold up in the wash? The checkerboard blanket is gorgeous.

    • @melissal219
      @melissal219  7 месяцев назад +1

      So far in my experience they are holding up better than knots. I think because the plastic cord in the centre is being fused together.
      However I see some other creators saying they prefer making a knot or tying their ends together with thread. So it might be a personal preference thing as well 😊

    Great video. Can you make one with more then two colors of plaid and also with the sides braided by dropping the first stitch? Hopefully you understand what I mean. Again, thanks for the great video! 😁

    • @melissal219
      @melissal219  7 месяцев назад

      I think I know what you mean, yes! My next video I have planned is a striped one with two colours and a braided border (by dropping the first stitch). I’ll write down your idea of multiple colours for a plaid blanket! 😊

      You would need to follow a different pattern if you want to use knitting / crochet needles! This type of pattern is called hand knitting, so it’s meant to use no needles or hooks.
      Try searching something like “chunky crochet blanket ” on RUclips and look for ones that use a hook 😊

    • @tspfull
      @tspfull 6 месяцев назад

      you would use US 50 knitting needle. this is not crochet.
      i would recommend just hand knitting for such a simple stitch pattern. something with lace work or brioche may need the needle.

    Is this technique called the intarsia

    • @melissal219
      @melissal219  6 месяцев назад

      I think you’re right! I’ve never heard of this term before, but I think it is called intarsia, or maybe a version of it 😊
