I LITERALLY started crying as soon as u mentioned the imaginary situations..bcuz i imagined myself in such situation..
Do it do it do it it works i swear just start with baby steps
You don’t have to do exactly those
But just things that make you uncomfortable to step out of comfort zone
All of these will create embarrassing situations for myself that will get stored in my brain, replay on loop and keep me up at night :( how do I get past that hurdle
Just do it anyway. Eventually there'll be too many instances for your brain to ruminate on all of them. Eventually you'll learn that you aren't your anxiety/awkwardness. If you can create awkward situations as an exercise, they won't feel so daunting.
Sorry I’m late, I’ll give you advice, but it’s kind of hard to since I’m struggling with this myself.
I guess something to think about that kind of helps me is that, everyone will forget tommorow! You see, not very many people care because they are all self conscious too.
Of course this doesn’t completely help it, since I’m still struggling with it a lot, but it does help quite a but

The problem is that doing these things does not get to the root cause of why you are socially anxious in the first place. The reason why most people are socially anxious, is because they have low self-esteem. And all the exposure in the world isn’t going to change that. In fact, exposure can actually worsen the problem if the exposure doesn’t go well
do something repeatedly many times and it becomes automatic and it stops bothering u, u stop caring. humans adapt. that's how morticians work on dead bodies. theyve seen it done it soo much its nothing to them

I communicate with most people everyday barely and when I return to home I start overthinking again communicating doesn't work for me idk what I should do to overcome my anxiety that's irritating
@@prezian1312am now 23 and I just couldn't shake off social anxiety until 6 months ago where I found out people around create anxiety intentionally in order to dominate if you don't have the knowledge of it happening you end up being the victim and they end up killing your will or drive and self esteem which causes social anxiety...I will share more if you find this helpful

I've tried all of these, and I breakdown into tears before, after, or during, and it makes everything worse.

"SO WHAT" What will happen? ..nothing..nothing will change..if you say this to yourself it will help you a lot

I try to do one thing a day that I don't want to do and talk to someone every day that I don't want to (my job involves a lot of phone calls). It doesn't eliminate social anxiety but I think it makes me stronger.

I want outside wearing white face paint to face my fear. I'm home now and I'm still terrified and a bit remorseful but I did it
The only one that did not trigger much anxiety for me is the improv class one - perhaps because that would be in a rather safe space as there are no wrong answers in improv, so long as you adhere to the principle of "Yes, and..."
(I still have a feeling I would screw it up 🙄😵💫🙈)

funny you mention inprov class. I'm watching the office for the first time, and I had the thought that an improv class would probably a great idea for my anxiety.

I was feeling hated and rejected so much specially from crushes from too many rejections from women not wanting me romantically that I think I developed this phobia it’s so uncomfortable I don’t want to talk to people and I have so few friends because of it plus I kinda just learned to be enjoy being alone 😅
The situations where youre causing trouble for others, i couldnt. I get why we should challenge them, they might happen for real one day, but it feels like a big nope for me. I made my bed and i need to lie in it sort of feeling.
This just made me even more anxious, going back to sleep
Exposure therapy is not the way to true change. It will desensitize you but you’ll still have the core anxiety.

One time i went to store with my cousin and i mistaken the calculation ( I'm bad at math tbh) and the cashier yelled at me and insulted me and said who's gonna pay the rest of money? Your father?
And the second time i was in road trip with my family and stopped to buy some snacks and my mom sent me to buy, and i accidentally choose the wrong one and I was like sorry I don't want this and the shopkeeper got mad and said first u decide what you want and then come here

Hi, did you have any previous event when someone was angry/unhappy with you with your performance at school? If yes that might have been causing this anxiety.
For me listening to hypnosis for anxiety has worked. Like Michael sealy, Marisa peers on YT have great vids.
I can do these things because I know it's for show but in reality I'm just afraid to talk to people ask questions eat or whatever
If I look good someday and people are looking at me I want to die or avoid eye contact

if i approach someone who's unknown to me and if they do not react in a positive manner( laughs or does something else which will make me uncomfortable). In order to face my fear if I end up being publicly humiliated?
