Sometimes narcissists are constantly indulged as children or see the treatment of the scapegoated child and believe that they are superior because they are the golden child or the invisible child who isn't subjected to the constant blame that the scapegoat is. Not all narcissists are neglected and abused in their childhood, far too many are just spoiled rotten and get away with it for too long because parents are too lazy to parent their child and teach them manners and hold them accountable for bad behaviour
Your information always motivates me, but instead of looking at how a Narcissist is now, l look at how a Narcissist got to be the way they are now, l have a grandson l don't see everyday, but l pray for him, and l feel saddened for the child that's not loved the way his mom and dad love him, because the Narcissist was treated horribly as a child. (it's amazing to bring new into the world, but parents have to understand, the freedom you had when you were single doesn't stay the same)

That is when I woke up to the fact that I'm a Sigma Empath and She is a Religious Covert Narcissist. Now, she's begging me to come back to her after getting out of prison. Not!!! What if its your parents, and they can control like everything you have and use any freedom or personal space you have as leverage my best bet i usually do is just shut up, and try to not say much but then they make me say things and get all "sad" why dont you talk, what's wrong. and anything I say is twisted into an arguement

Then last Thursday I have a blow out with a narcissist in my life. We've had issues all year because he's come into a place of power over me and I've always had strong boundaries and never been afraid to say no. I've always been a threat to him, but not a target until he had power. I never noticed before.
Thanks Justice, in my experience a narcissist is willfully avoiding the demons that eventually take over their mind . It's so subtle and slow it's hard for anyone who isn't intimate with them to see the transformation, but we are always transforming towards the desires of our heart.
