  • What is going on inside the mind of a diagnosed narcissist? Are they happy? Content? Paranoid perhaps? Today's episode is dedicated to giving you the inside look of a narcissist that has been in #psychotherapy since October 2017
    Official- www.mentalhealness.net / Brand Shop - i-am-self-love...
Welcome my channel! If this is your first time seeing my face or hearing my voice, my name is Lee and I am a self aware narcissist. I have narcissistic personality disorder ( NPD ) and I've been in therapy for my personality disorder since 2017 and it has definitely changed my life because without it, I would have lost everything.
The point of these videos is to help bring awareness from the other side of the narcissistic *buse spectrum. All my videos give perspective on why many narcissists do what they do and the possible different reasons behind them. The victims and survivors get validation and the Narcissists (those that are willing) get to see that you can get help and that you are not alone.

Their mind is constant frustration & insecurity.
They live in a delusion constantly. They see others as rebellious characters in the tv show called “their life”

This makes me wonder about my ex’s obsession with danger. Every little thing I did was dangerous. Eye contact. Smiling at cashiers. Wearing my clothes. Doing my hobbies. Dancing on stage. Oh, and everything I did was a “performance”. I was always “fake smiling” “fake having fun” “fake enjoying my hobbies” because I just want to look cool. I thought he was just being kind of annoying, but maybe he feels this in himself as well more than I thought

I want to share with u something
He was projecting him self on u
And putting his traits on you !
      He was saying I’m dangerous!
He meant that any thing he does is dangerous,
He was literally telling on him self .
      Theyknow theeir bad.
And they tell on them self’s
      With out noticing
That obsession means they r dangerous!
For example my ex usto say
      I don’t trust you !
He did NOT trust him self,
Their is a video of lee about how narcs tell on them self’s ,
      That is classic projection!
They think we r doing an act becosue they don’t acts,
So that is projecting again ,
He meant that when he does eye contact with ppl his intentions are dangerous!
      Don’t take this clown seriously
      Their r a joke
      They have no ,
      Sence of real self

I always feel bad for people with NPD, BPD, ASPD, DID, and even people like myself with complex-PTSD. It's so fucked up that we were not born like this. We didn't have proper caretakers, and that really sucks. My daughters father was a crip and grew up in violence with a mom who wasn't emotionally there and never held him accountable, and so much of what you say sounds like him. I had to go no contact, even tho my heart has felt broken for over a year over him. He was hurting me so badly. He wasn't physically abusing me, but his inner wounds were hurting me. He was so self protective to the point of hurting me. Shit sucks. I wish he would get better. He's the only one I have ever met that truly saw me. My inner child wounds and my grown woman self.

Because of narcissistic tendencies inside myself, I haven't been able to have a real relationship with anybody in my life that isn't more than a surface relationship, because my mind gets so crazy. I've been learning to try to embrace the good and bad inside myself and still only project the good things to other people, but it's been a huge struggle to not let the bad side loose. I know that I would lose everybody around me if I would say and do the things that are inside me, so I keep it to myself, and only say those things out loud when I am alone and in my prayers to God, because I know I would destroy my life otherwise. Good luck to you always, Lee. Thanks for being open and sharing.

I finally divorced healed myself and remarried to the nicest man I have ever met. I worry that one of my sons inherited his dads narcissism. I don’t even have any clue how to deal with that.

"I need to find one way I'm better than you. Just to feel better about myself." Thank you so much for this!!! Gosh, for those of us who are forced to deal with the narcissists, this helps so much. My SIL is a narcissist, and I can not cut her off until her child is 18. If I cut her off, she will take my niece from me... so I have to play ball. This helps me have compassion. I agree that unless she wants to do better for herself, I can't help her. But until that child is 18, I'm going to play her game. Otherwise, her child will suffer. Your channel has been a game changer for me. Thank You!!

After years of "talk" therapy with counselors, struggling from the trauma of dealing with and having a trauma bond with a narcissist, I found someone who helped me. Near where I live I found a hypnotist who, after one session, freed my mind from the pain and trauma bond of the narcissist. After the hypnosis session, I didn't feel anxiety around people. I didn't care about the narcissist and didn't feel an attraction or pull to him. After all those years of struggling with the pain, I was finally freed. And when you're emotionally free, your body feels more free too. You are able to focus more on what you want to focus on.

Being raised by 2 narcissistic parents and a judgmental society I never really knew who I was but spending time by myself taking long walks and journaling venting out my frustrations and what I actually stood up for and who I wanted to be in the future and what I wanted to stand up for. People are supposed to be changing all the time based on their experiences. We're supposed to grow on an everyday basis. People are meant to have negative and kind of people come and go in their lives Negative people are supposed to teach us to be more cautious of the evil world out there and not just to give our hearts away What narcissists have to understand is that when they get angry over silly and small things they're giving away their narcissistic personality They're exposing themselves that they have a lot going on upstairs My mother used to try to get me to overthink and keep on beating myself up over small things I believe people just have to stop overthinking realize who they want to be what they want to stand up and that's who you become Good and bad people good and bad situations changed me a lot over time. What narcissistic people don't seem to understand is that non narcissistic people deal with a lot of the same struggles and thoughts that narcissistic people worry about Now that I know about narcissism I can see how a narcissist can give away their vulnerability all the time. Narcissistic people and non narcissistic people and people with narcissistic traits can all be vulnerable at times. We all have flesh and blood. We all can be hurt or killed. Taking long walks And journaling really help me out I'm not the type to meditate either I need to get out and just let my mind just wander. It seems to me now that my parents were trying to groom and condition me to become a narcissist.

Free thinking is a form of meditation. There is no ‘one size fits all’ form of meditation.
Many “non-narcissistic” people struggle to shut their thoughts off too.
This is a great video. It’s very insightful to get your own perspective - you’re brave to share it.

Dear Lee, I wish I found you 6-7 years ago. My narcissistic daughter died 8 months ago of alcoholism. I tried everything , nothing worked instead I got diagnosed with cancer from the stress. It is as much our fault whatever bad happens as the narcissist. I don’t mean that we should blame ourselves or the narcissist. I wish I could have played your videos to her. She was like you, mentally very smart but emotionally very stunted. I wonder if she would have been able to hear you and seek help. You must have a very smart therapist Which is rare. According to me my daughter had every thing going for her and she didn’t know it. She was smart, beautiful, funny, interesting personable, she had a charisma about her. Out of all that the only thing she recognized about herself according to how she acted, that she was smarter than everybody else. In a way she was, but I used to tell her knowledge without heart is cruel and heart without knowledge is ignorant. In other words, we have to learn wisdom to deal with them if we want to be happy or even have a possibility to see a change in them. they have to learn to have a heart to grow and be happy as much as we have to learn not to attract someone to use us and have the strength to do what’s right for both of us, first for yourself then you can possibly, possibly change their perception by observing you. I grief how she waisted her gifts and her life, she was only 52.

It's super interesting! I've noticed I myself do have a feature which many narcissists have - "splitting". Even if I am not a narcissist! But I was raised by narcissists and I learned (by observation) that the world is black or white, and one can't be both. I love, Lee, what you therapists said: "Why no be both?!". I love it! I am learning to be both, and even if I am not a narcissist I struggle a lot with how i perceive myself in a splitted way and how I perceive others in a splitted way. It's terrible. I always hated it, but it was never modeled to me how to do it. So, as an adult I learn how to integrate my inner "pieces", pieces, which sometimes are very, very different, polarized.

Jordan Peterson says that morality is in controlling the "monster" within us. There's no morality in people that are UNABLE to do bad because that's not a choice. The healthier place to be in is to recognize your potential to be dangerous, but having the control within yourself to not to. That's true power. It's not easy, but it's very human. Anyway, thanks for your transparency! I actually relate a bit. 🎄

Thank you for videos like this. I was discarded about 6 months ago by someone who I now know has NPD. I know you would never encourage anyone to stay in a toxic relationship, but I still love this man and want to know as much as I can about how he thinks and why narcissists do what they do, which is so foreign to me. I have plenty of insecurities myself-most people do-but I am never “on guard” the way my ex was. I don’t suspect the worst of people; in fact, I try to give people the benefit of the doubt. I also know that narcissists are created, typically by terrible childhoods. Like you, my ex is a good person with learned defenses as a child that are now wreaking havoc on his life… So please, the more videos you can do to help us “neurotypical” people understand narcissists, the better. It will help us learn how to assess what is really happening in a situation and respond appropriately instead of taking things personally. If I knew a year what I know now, I think my ex and I would be in a very different place.

I'm empath, and my ex fiance is narcissistic, who always wanted change. It's like I calmed her the best. At least, lead on to believe. My theory is that we have missing parts, and others have pieces to make our clocks tell a more accurate time. We stay attached and love narcissistic people so much because we want to burn them for habits and behavior they give into "How they felt and grew with it". That hurt we have and revnege, or justice we want is something they lived with. I loved she made me feel wild, and I made her feel safe. I don't need clingy or someone licking my wounds. I just know there is something special about trying to go against yourself to do the right thing. It shouldn't be unrecognized by anyone. My relationship I'll always be cherished because 3 years was perfect. Harmony. Yes, I was discarded after my mom died. But i can tell she was being forced by her mind. It's really like she had to give in, or something with her would blow. If the understanding that I trust you with my heart and you trust me with yours should be the most chemically stable relationship with passion and desire, you would think. People send a lot of hate on narcissism for good reason. If I had to push someone around in a wheel chair, I'd lose sex drive and other things sure and be attracted to others more than ever. Everyone can be guilty of the same crimes no matter the direction of traffic. Idk, something about eggs, dancing with rocks would be the ultimate. We take cheating so serious that since it's one of their hiccups and they know they are screwed. So why not give into yourself and relieve those voices. It's honestly no fair. If trauma k , can't become anymo, e then they stay. Somehow, embracing the darkness. We all act like narcissis at the end of the day. Not for everyone, but being understanding on either end should never go wrong.

🎄 I do have empathy for the narcissists I have known, but it's from a distance. I don't know if telling them about narcissism would make their life any better. Imagine an ex partner or an ex friend telling you that and having that door unlocked by someone you probably see as an enemy. It would feel humiliating and extremely exposing. You would wonder how many other people know. It might take many years for you to actually want to learn more and get help. In the meantime you would find a way to damage who told you.
