I really appreciated your video! I’m a widow (69) and looking for a easy tent to pitch up for a little adventure with my 8 year old granddaughter. We watched your video together and she said look Nana he did it with one hand. I had polio as a child and have to do most things with my right hand so now you know your video also helps people that need a realistic look at things! Thanks
Thank you so much for sharing this! I'm a small channel just trying to help people learn about equipment to make outdoor life easy and what you just wrote means a whole lot to me! Thank you and I'm really happy that I could help.
there easy to set up.a tents need rain fly or good tarp. always good to put a tarp fown.tent on tarp. for extra insulstion.it rains alot where I live.so I cover with tarp. the best tent I ever had was a Paul PETZEAL tent.had snow entrance.small mud roo. for gear.big enough to stretch out in.could set it up in minus wheather. to heavy wind.durable.lasted a very long time.OUR family still has the old coleman canves tent from the 50s.when coleman was coleman. made in USA..enjoy csmping.thanks for the video.God bless your family keep you all safe and healthy.
Ok I don’t know what exactly to tell. He posted a video of top 5 tent and he included the Coleman instant tent as number 1 in his list but months later he tests the tent😂😂 thank goodness I was about to buy after seeing your top 5 recommendation🤣🤣🤣
Ha ha that’s a really good point I should have covered. A tent that I choose for me and my style of camping versus a tent I buy to use with the kids are very different. Also when I bought this tent, almost everything else was sold out. It was crazy man! Everyone is getting out these days and I love it.
I have the previous version of this tent. the red one. it didn't come with rain fly unlike yours. I had to buy one from ebay for $50 cdn as this tent really needs a rainfly unless you like getting soaked while sleeping. I can't believe they didn't include one. Anyways.. things I like: it really is easy to set up. very sturdy. I've had it for 6+ years and it's still like new. so so: taking it down is not as easy as setting it up and it will take much more time and effort to put it back in but once you get the hang of it, it won't be as bad. the bad: the vent hole at the top is already very small and not efficient but after multiple setup/takedown it will get cramped and become useless and it will cause condensation. hope this newer version fixed these issues.
What a nice video, cute kids, glad you had helpers filming and weighting down the tent for you :). I've watched a couple videos about this tent and it looks like a keeper. I am also a widow in my late 60's looking for a little adventure (but not too much) and a little comfort. This might just fit the bill. I don't like the tents where the center height is 40 inches! Thanks for your review.
No it does not. It covers more than most but this tent specifically doesn’t do well in the rain, even with the rain fly. You will be just fine in light rain but moderate to heavy will not be awesome ha ha.
I have one with rain fly an it's not at all waterproof like the video shows. It's stands against the wind an sets up easy but in order to stay dry you have to tarp the entire tent.
Yeah that type of tent is considered a cabin style which they do not do well in windy conditions usually a dome style works the best. I’m surprised you did not have a rain fly which adds a layer of rain protection, if you use it a lot you should try some Type of fabric water sealant spray on will help to repell any water,Also me at all protecting the fabric from bird droppings
Actually, there are many youtube videos on here; shot in winds over 20 mph in overnight heavy torrential rains in the woods; (and with melting snow), and this tent held up extremely well for the hunter sportsman; with no leaks at all. (using the rainfly of course). I also have this tent & rainfly as well. I watched at least 30 youtube videos before I bought mine. I am a 65 yr old woman & it is super easy to set up; solo.
@@joanietravel9125 do you know if some sore of scotch guard water repellant will help on a tent? I have never tried it, but sure would like to have some rain repellant.
I have just watched Coleman video and they said that someone can stand up in this tent. I am surprised that you cannot. What would the max height be then?
No problem! Dessert/dry weather is where this thing will really excel. I actually ended up looking it a lot better than I thought. I can fit a twin air mattress in the 4 person with a little staging room on the side if you ever consider sleeping on one in there. Starts to turn into a really nice cozy tent ha ha.
Ok. How do you take it down? I set mine up and now it's stuck half way down. I don't want to bend a pole the wrong way. Nevermind. A woman just showed me how.
Hi I am Anthony I speak English little and come from Mongolia. My friend in USA tell me tent is a good for BBQ. This tent taste really yuck. I buy another tent and cook it in oven. Is no good. Highly recommend not eat tent. No good.
Four people? More like four small children. Four grown adults? Uh no! Not unless you're totally into Dutch Ovens with little fresh air to breath. But I digress.

I absolutely love to spend as much time as possible in mother nature and a tent like this absolutely comes in handy to do so - Much love from Germany

Such a good review! Also I loved the cuts with ray at the end, so cute!
Right? Ha ha.
I had to subscribe because your camerman is the cutest. 😊
This tent looks great and seems to be super practical! Thanks for sharing your views on this one!
Just peeped it in Michael´s Story
The kids will enjoy camping & fishing too. Y’all have fun.
The little one just couldn’t miss the opportunity to climb in before it was all set up. Soooo cute, all of them.
I have that tent camping out tonight nice review
super sympathetic host who clearly knows what he talks about - subscribed for more

Great review love your grandkids in the video
Nice knife I got the crkt swat
Little loop on top is great for a led lantern.
I don’t see a follow up video after you used it awhile. After 1 year of use, what are your thoughts?

I didn’t mind tents that were not tall until recent years, I’m 65 lol. You go girl! We got this, I camp mostly solo with my 2 dogs. Enjoy nature.
I would buy the seperate rain fly.
I suggest buying a better aftermarket one. The one that is made for it sucks pretty bad.
Very nice tent idol , i enjoy watching with you ..
The material on the corners is supposed to be there to protect the tent from being ripped when folding it up
Will the 4 person tent fit a double air mattress or even queen?
do you recommend this for beach?
Great details given with setup and your cute kids. I have this tent. Does the construction of this tent eliminate the need for a rainfly?
No it does not. It covers more than most but this tent specifically doesn’t do well in the rain, even with the rain fly. You will be just fine in light rain but moderate to heavy will not be awesome ha ha.

New subscriber is watching
You need to extend the upper poles too lol! That's why it looked 'smalln
Wow nice content idol
4 person comfortable inside?
Hi What Height is the tent, it looks taller than the dims on amazon
Great review too

I'd say it's about 5 feet at best.
Is there a rainfly?
Yes. It covers the top well but doesn’t cover the sides much. It’ll do great in light rain but it’s not a rain fly for heavy rain for sure.
@@TechGearClothing Awesome, thanks for the quick reply. I think it will be perfect for weekend camping in AZ

@@TechGearClothing Awesome, thanks for the feedback
How come every demonstration video on youtube have to skip the first couple minutes?
I did it for you.
is this big enough to put a lazy boy chair inside the tent and sleep on it ???
Can you stand up in that? From the outside it didn't look like you would be able to.
Whats the weight
Remember that time you cooked a Pop Tart without reading the instructions.
looks a little small for 4 people, Maybe 2 adults and 2 small kids. But Im nos expert by any means. Good video
Ok. How do you take it down? I set mine up and now it's stuck half way down. I don't want to bend a pole the wrong way. Nevermind. A woman just showed me how.
Need to show how easy (?) it is to get back in the bag
What you gonna do with all that junk? All that junk inside your trunk??
This video is dope nose. I dig it!

Highly recommend not eat tent. No good.
Great sense of humor, should have seen it coming. LMAO
T
What happened to the old days when a rain fly and tent stakes came with tbe tent. What a rip off
I couldn’t agree more.
Four people? More like four small children. Four grown adults? Uh no! Not unless you're totally into Dutch Ovens with little fresh air to breath. But I digress.
Not tall enough.. it does rain an no one wants wet clothes in sleeping area
Please dont say heck so casually its a word related to saying hell.
lol
8 minutes to review a 60 second tent?
Just another overly long, mumbling, unrehearsed, fragmented tent video.....
Ha ha ha. Man thanks for that. I needed to hear it.
@@TechGearClothing Nothing personal... LOL! Thank you for your good nature..!!
Oh nooooo. The tent looks way to small for 4 people. Guess me and the bois are gonna have to snuggle together😏
It seems to me like for 2 people instead of 4
That’s how just tents go. 4 people packed like sardines and all of their gear outside of the tent or two people with their gear inside of the tent.
