Do you think geo textile is that important with 100-150 mm of stone and 50mm of muck? I’ve learned loads from you but to me the geo textile one seems a bit overkill
Hi, love your videos, really informative! I am just wondering if it is okay to have a patio/drive only one brick down from the dpc? My dpc is a couple layers of slate so it is about 30mm thick. Most of the drive/patio is about 100mm from where the next brick starts but in some places it is about 7 or 8mm, as the path is slightly higher. Worried about the splash back effect I have heard of.
It’s said on the Paving Expert site that one below is fine in domestic situations how ever I would still put a linear drainage system if you did Nick mate.
@@GreentopLandscapes Thanks for the quick response. Its an existing drive and patio that is there and I moved in a year ago and cant see any signs of damp inside so i assume its ok?
That’s the problem with mine there is slight movement on my finished tiles after one year being down, so you pay cheap that’s what you get, I’m in NEW ASH GREEN if you want to sort mine out

Peace of mind it’s not expensive and it’s used in civil work
@@GreentopLandscapes yep that’s fair enough mate
