We are -20 in Northern WA state in the mountains. Finishing sheeting the ceiling tomorrow and then paint. Some trim after that and then finally, finally build the slot car tables!!!!!
Dave, totally appreciate what you do for this hobby. I'm fairly new to it as an adult. So I'm learning a lot from your vids in terms of the companies involved in this industry. I got a question, are there any slot car manufacturers putting out modern Indycars. I've seen a few 3D printed molds but I am no craftsman so I would prefer to buy a car painted and ready to go, preferably digital (Carrera).
I'd like to see Pioneer do a model of the AMC Javelins from 1968-1970 they were without a doubt some of the most famous Trans-Am race cars ever raced and nobody makes a replica of them , I have a (very expensive) new old Revell 1/32 model kit that I plan on converting into a slot car , the Pioneer chassis is a perfect fit , but I'd still like to see them done , there are so many good liveries and I can only do one , Maybe you can suggest it to them , I've tried with no luck . I have a huge collection of Trans-Am cars (all of them actually from both Pioneer and Scalextric , including all the dealer specials) , I'm working on the imports now , the Alfa Romeos the Porsche 911s the BMW 2002s and I will be getting all the Datsun 510s . The SCCA Trans-Am series is where the phrase " Win on Sunday , sell on Monday " was coined , its my favorite racing series of all time , even today in the historic racing events the Trans-Am cars are the most competitive , they still drive them as hard and fast as they did in their glory days .
100% agree ! I have about 90+ cars and about 10 in various build stages. I too are looking for more U2 cars and 1 off privateers. AMC early Javelins and 65 Dodge Dart would be welcome additions for sure. Join my group Trans Am slot cars on FB !
Love the rally tent scene. Soooo cool. Cheers Dave
