Hi Trigger, beautiful finish from the PRD717 mate that finish you got there is like a sheet of glass👌I had the PRD715 on loan a while back and that is a bit of a hose as I used it first to clearcoat a bike tank which had a lot of curves, overhangs and small shapes around it and of course I wasn't prepared for what it unleashed on me😬had a couple of runs to sort but it sprayed lovely👏
I'm looking to get the 717 when I can as I like my WS400 Series2 with the split tip so I'm hoping the 717 will be just as good🙏👍John UK
It's funny because I do not like the ws400 but I like this gun. We all have our preferences but it's just funny to see how it some spray guns we all kind of like and then ones that are similar to that gun some of us don't care for it all I think the paint fumes are getting to us 😭🤪

The Dv1 transfer efficiency is great. The faster guns blow clear all over the place. Good choice. Clear is not cheap.

I recently got one, mine is blue. I got it because my DV1-C is just too slow. Prd-715 really puts it out though and the fan you can adjust very wide. It atomizes really fine like my DV1-C but a lot faster
So that confirms what I thought about the gun. Good to hear some else feels the same way. DV1 is a 🐢🐢 and this gun sprays like it but faster.
@@thetriggerman954 exactly. I love my three dv1 gunes but the dv1-c i was having issues getting around the entire car fast enough when putting on clear. Panel i start at would be dry before i got half way around the car. Even though it atomizes reallt nice and fine, i only spray at 11psi with it. I heard the c2 aircap speeds it up but i had the chance to get a porphis for cheap and grabbed it and i love it. Love the fine atomization like my DV1-C but even wider fan pattern and three times faster.

Most of the big boys are going to be over $600. The LPH400 will be under $600 that's a tough one man 🤔 you making me think lol
WS400 is what he should be rocking lol. 700-900 CAN in my area. I just upgraded to series 2 WS400. @ 1500CAN

Sprays nice but still need to turn fan in one turn . Drinks more material then series 1 ( Both 1.3HD) Only had it a few days so will be dialing it in more over next few weeks. Also if you have any pointers someone hit my wifes 2018 suburban with an white paint and when I fix and blend it I was thinking of flow coating the whole thing with an pearl or micro flake to give it an customized look but some people are saying that micro flake looks like dirt over white and some pearls don't work good over white base coat??
Yea it won't look good bro, trust me I've seen a few guys do that. Over white and over black looks like dirt. Whoever told you that was right. You're better off putting some bad ass pearl pigment over it , any pearls will look good over it.

It depends, the type of look you want. If you want a more subtle factory look then mix it in the base, or if you want something that stands out and looks more custom mix it in a clear base coat and put over the top of your base

Aud dollar so shit man this gun costs $400 in australia, I don’t know if you remember trigger but I was telling you how I was working at a really good shop but my tradesmen was just a bad person, man I lasted 3 months got myself out of there really started hating coming to work and man I love this trade so I left, at a different shop now there not perfect elcheapos but the quality of work is also high and I get a lot of time on the gun and doing body filler which is great, was wondering if you’ve ever sprayed with flg5 Devilbiss and the gpg Devilbiss ? And the bumper looks perfect by the way brother
I'm glad got to a better situation. Man I totally feel you on that. I've worked at shops in the past that made me hate the trade, it's like when you find that right place it doesn't even feel like work. Kinda like the shop I work at now, I think I might have had 3 bad days in 11 years. It's a piece of mind and that's hard to find. So I definitely understand my man. And as for the gun no I've never sprayed with the gun. I've been hearing a lot of people mention it to me though. 🤔

I'm shooting the Dv1 at 10lbs on the gauge. What pressure are you using?
You shoot the DV1 at 10psi? I use it at 21-22 psi
I have the 715 and 717 what pressures you spray base and the clear
Base was 21psi and clear at 27psi. I tried the clear at 30 psi on the first job and it didn't perform as well so 27psi worked best for my materials.

Really for $200 even if it last 2yrs i wouldn't be upset. Before I switched to all three DV1 guns I had all Walcom hte guns and the ego190 and my genesi 360 light base gun lasted just over a year that was it and between those two walcoms thats $1400 for one year. Yea they got used hard especially the ego190 0.7mm for the amount of cerakote i do everyday but I still always kept them clean and took care of them. Its just everything in them that seals off is derlin plastic and just didnt last.
Damn 😫 now that sucks I think I got a walcom in the closet somewhere 😅
@thetriggerman954 it upset me because i was all about them with the ego190, genesi 360 light base, a 360 light clear gun, and a 1.9mm slim kombat. Plus i had bought the 1.0 and 1.2mm cap, nozzle, needle sets for the ego190, and the 1.2 amd 1.4mm sets for the 360base gun. All were hte guns. I will say that ego190 sprayed cerakote with the 0.7mm and did base/clear with 1.0 and 1.2mm better than any mini i ever used. Just didnt last

Porphis is their, Chaotains, trading company name. In china they have to set up a seperate trading company for exports.
